  1. Good morning. Another successful day with the words and cartoon answer. After seeing the letters the answer was obvious. Hope everyone is in good health, take care.

  2. The cartoon answer was a given,but degree looked like dredge at first,as I misread the 3 e’s as 2 d’s and 2 e’s.

  3. Hi all – This was an almost instant solve. Got the words, and then if you happened to know that the movie was “Big”, the only question was what the second answer word was, and DEAL was pretty easy.
Nice “Zoltar” machine too! The “Musée Mécanique” building at Pier 45 in San Francisco has over 300 arcade machines like this, and was narrowly saved from destruction in the big fire at the pier over last weekend.

    Good wishes to everyone.

“It was a BIG DEAL when the zoo supervisor’s BUZZER went off due to sensors detecting a sudden unacceptable DEGREE of FILTH in the KOALA pen.”

    • Steve, I’m glad they were able to save the Musee Mechanique. Have you ever been there? I remember as a child going to Playland at the Beach and was totally “creeped out” by Laffin Sal. Haven’t been to the site on the wharf but she would probably still seem creepy to me.

      • That was always a ‘someday’ thing that I never did get around to. When I was going to arcades, there were a lot of great ones closer to the East and South Bay, and for a really special trip, we’d go to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk which had all the rides plus multiple sites containing everything from old (1960’s era) pinball machines up through the current ones and video games. And to top it off they had and still have that great carousel and their very own Laughing Sal!

  4. Oh Steve, we used to go to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk as well. I so loved the carousel, trying to get the brass ring in the clown’s mouth. If you succeeded his nose lit up. Yes, they too had great arcade games and probably still do. I didn’t like their Laughing Sal either.
