  1. Good Morning, Everyone. PITCH PERFECT? Uh, not today…
Hitting the showers. WATER you gonna do? Kinda like being Strong-ARMED…But then again…The irony being…If your ARM “was” strong…well you know the rest…

    Chicago…The Cubbies…How we all miss our Baseball..🎶..https://tinyurl.com/lxungd5. 🎶

⚾️ For those of us who love the Sport…how we wish it could be,
That we would see a Baseball game…in all it’s fine glory…
What’s usually so NATIVE, is somewhat sad today,
There are no games…but we don’t WAVER, wishing they could play…
To see the manager of a team WALTZ towards the mound like this,
Could give a die-hard Baseball fan a feeling of such bliss,
Though he’s not there to HOBNOB, we still enjoy the move,
A pitcher’s getting pulled because his arm’s not in the groove…
I guess today there must have been too many balls gone foul
They need the outs…this pitcher has to just THROW IIN THE TOWEL…⚾️

I hope you’re all well. Enjoy your day. And stay safe….And May the 4th be with you…⚾️🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🚶🏻‍♂️Not one known to HOBNOB with this group as a rule, he was so determined to learn the WALTZ, that he refused to WAVER…dancing might not come NATIVE to him, but before he’d be forced to THROW IN THE TOWEL, he was going to give it his best shot…🚶🏻‍♂️

💃🏻 He watched her as she worked the room, she’d HOBNOB here and there,
    Without a WAVER in her step…she didn’t have a care…
She’d WALTZ from one guy to the next, quite NATIVE to this game
And he realized…out of his league was this particular dame…
He stood there feeling forlorn, looking on with such a scowl…
But he needs to just give it up…Time to THROW IN THE TOWEL…💃🏻

  3. This Cleveland Indians fan also misses baseball.Native looked like vanity, misspelled to me at first, but having gotten the cartoon solution,I could work backwards to the correct native solve.I also was impressed by the plethora of double letters in the anagrams, with multiple w’s,o’s and b’s.Enjoy the day.

  4. Good morning. Agree with Chuck on Native. Had the same problem but was stuck for the longest time on the cartoon answer. I drew a complete blank until the answer finally came to mind. Now this was a clever finish. Until tomorrow stay well.

  5. I first thought of invite instead of native but once I got that figured out it was smooth sailing. I agree with others that throw in the towel is not really associated with baseball ‘ – “pitch a fit”? Hope all of you have a good Monday.

    • Hi Betty. Good Morning. While I’ve seen many a pitcher “pitch a fit” while on the mound, the term doesn’t have Baseball origins. And while “throw in the towel” is related to the sport of Boxing, t’s pretty much used in general conversation to apply to many things. I don’t know if you’ve noticed….but I use it here all the time referring to giving up on a solve. But then again…I guess one can’t go by me….I’m full of idioms! 😉 Good Monday wishes to you too, Betty. Be well, be safe…⚾️🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Although last season ended with him playing for the Phillies, I couldn’t help but think of Jake Arrieta when I saw this pitcher this morning…(That’s PITCHER, not picture…My Brooklyn accent isn’t “that” bad)! 😂 Jake was definitely in a league of his own with that beard of his…And when he shaved after the 2017 season, I remember thinking there was a handsome face under all that wildness…⚾️🙋🏻‍♀️

    • MLB reran Arrieta’s no hitter when he was with the Cubs, definitely not a throw in the towel outing.

      • A fantastic outing…The Cubs fans were shouting …”HAIR, HAIR”! 😂⚾️🙋🏻‍♀️

        • You scared me. For a second, I thought I might have mistakenly sent the Sports Illustrated story that I came across while searching for this 😂

          • LOL! No, no such luck..😂 But you know how I feel about those huge, unkempt, ugly, bushy beards. Ugh! And I do believe that if any of you guys had to try kissing someone with one? You’d definitely be in my corner….Another boxing idiom! 🥊🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. With Dowel being defined as “being used for making strong, accurate joints in wood“…Maybe we could have dabbled with “Throw in the Dowel”….Pushing the envelope? Way…But it’s Star Wars Day…a little scientific fantasy never hurt anybody! 😂🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Hi all – NATIVE slowed me down while seeing NAIVE, NAIVETE, INVENT or INVITE. Had to write down the answer letters, but then the W’s and O’s showed it.

Betty beat me to saying that this character sounds like he’s about to pitch a fit, and of course the answer phrase is very commonly used for any situation, sports-related or not.

    Good wishes to everyone.

“The explorer didn’t WALTZ around the subject or WAVER in his quest to HOBNOB with the NATIVE chief in order to exploit him.”

  9. Here’s a little something “feel good” you may enjoy. I have a soft spot for Michael Bublè, and we were supposed to see him in Pennsylvania near the end of the month. I also enjoy Bare Naked Ladies and Sofia. Plus I’ve been following Stay Homas, so this really hit home with me…(No pun intended)! 😉 But, how wonderful is this effort? And how great is this song? (Scroll down to the bottom of the article to listen to it). It reminds me of something old-school…and summer…The Drifters, maybe? “Up on the Roof”? I can’t put my finger on it..but I’m thinking about it….Anyway, I hope you enjoy listening to it. I’ve played it about a gazillion times already myself…Be well, Everyone…Stay Homas…and stay safe…🙋🏻‍♀️

  10. PS…I should have mentioned that the top clip in that article is another “feel good” moment. And this article below is a follow-up on that night…I think you’ll enjoy reading about Erin Bellucci and her journey there…🙋🏻‍♀️
