  1. Good Morning, Everyone…It’s pouring here…I guess it just CLOUDed my judgement! Have a great day…It’s almost New Year’s Eve! Hip, hip BERET! 🤹🏻🙋🏻‍♀️

🎶 TALKING is cheap, people follow like sheep…Even though there is no where to go. How could she tell he deceived her so well…Pity she’ll be the last one to know…SILENCE is golden, but my eyes still see…SILENCE is golden, golden, but my eyes still see…🎶 “Silence is Golden” – The Four Seasons 1961 https://tinyurl.com/whfvfgg

☔️ The STORMY weather made her blue..the air felt just like BRINE
And since their work was done outdoors…rain didn’t suit a mime…
A GLANCE outside the window made her feel a sense of dross
And thinking of not working…well the money’s at a loss…
She turned and saw him sleeping and it made her shake her head
How things could hardly faze him…he could spend the day in bed…
She wondered if she’d STOMP her feet maybe he would awake?
But then he’d only laugh at her..how hard these things she’d take…
In business they worked well she thought…but as a “him and her”?
Relationship’s need more than just to be SILENT PARTNERS ☔️

  2. …It must be the weather… ☔️💦🙋🏻‍♀️
🎶People talking without speaking..people hearing without listening…People writing songs that voices never share…And no one dare…disturb the SOUND OF SILENCE…🎶 “Sound of Silence” – Simon and Garfunkel 1964 https://tinyurl.com/h9sxdcc

🙇🏻‍♀️ They say “Silence is Golden”…but some may disagree
Like BRINE amidst the ocean blue, things sometimes get STORMY
They also say that “Talk is Cheap” …again up for discussion,
No pun intended here, but then no talk can cause eruption
Communication is the key or arguments might brew,
A wayward GLANCE is all it takes…and fighting may ensue…
There shouldn’t be a need to STOMP or silently resent,
‘Tis better just to let it out, nothing’s gained if it’s pent
One wonders…If two mimes would wed…is there emotional armor?
Does not communicating cause a riff with SILENT PARTNERS? 🙇🏻‍♂️

  3. All the consonants in the anagrams gave a slight reason to pause, but each word popped into mind.Given all the letters and mimes in the cartoon,” silent partners” was almost a blind solve. We’re off to a NY Eve baby surfing gig in Naperville, have a Happy New Year.

  4. It is pouring here (Oneida, NY) also. We received much rain starting late yesterday afternoon. I put my rain gauge away for the winter but I am sure it has been between one and two inches so far. I was surprised looking at the poll so far that a small percentage had more trouble with the final solution than those who had no trouble. It was a blind solve for me after quickly getting the words. I am not bragging because I have struggled with many “simple” words the last week or so that I should have known. I have good days and bad days like every Jumble fan. I only threw in the towel twice this tear. My goal is zero in 2020.

  5. Hi all – I first saw CLANGE, as in the “Meet Me in St. Louis” trolley, but the ‘E’ looked wrong and a second GLANCE showed it. I wanted MPT to be in the first word like PROMPT, but trying the ST combo showed STOMP. Wrote the letters and got the answer from the P and S.

I know it’s popular to hate mimes, but I bet Betty remembers the ones this cartoon reminds me of – San Francisco’s “Shields and Yarnell” who performed around Union Square and were actually quite appreciated (and Betty, I’m sure it was your cheer that led to the Niners victory last night!)
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shields_and_Yarnell

I love the wonderful Four Seasons song, Angela, and I think it’s not one of the ones that most people would think of first (like “Sherry” or “Big Girls Don’t Cry). I’d put “Dawn (go away, I’m no good for you)” in the former category also.

    Have a great day, everyone!

“The SILENT PARTNERS in the fishing boat company took one GLANCE at the STORMY weather and decided not to STOMP around in the BRINE with their crew today”.

I’m always amused by the coupons I get at CVS because I always get 3 or 4 for cosmetics, but I had to laugh at this one today – “$3 off Revlon Cosmetics (Tools excluded)”. These must be the supplies we imagine when we see “Night Repair” ads and visualize little construction workers with tiny jackhammers working on somebody’s face overnight.

    • I do remember Shields & Yarnell, Steve. To be honest with you for some reason mimes give me the creeps so I avoid them. They seem to be concentrated around Fisherman’s Wharf these days – a place I rarely visit. That game last night was something else. Don’t know about my part in it, but I was alternately covering my eyes and screaming at the TV in those last seconds. Sorry that the Raiders didn’t win. I feel badly for Oakland that they are leaving such a loyal fan base. Hope you can hang on to the A’s.

      • LOL! Hi Betty. Your post got in before MINE, I mean mine! I was just telling Steve how we share a disdain for mimes! I have to go see if I can find where we said it. There’s been a few Mine-themed puzzles in the past….And the end of the game last night! It had us freaking out on the East Coast too! 😉🙋🏻‍♀️

      • Betty I found a bunch of mime puzzles. One in 2011, ‘12, ‘14, three in 2017, and one last year. This seems to be the only one we’ve had for this year. And in both ‘17 and ‘18 you said that they gave you the creeps. I hear you…I can’t put it into BLACK and WHITE…just something about them…😉🙋🏻‍♀️

They’re the Vegas Raiders now, but we still have the millions of dollars of debt to remember them by!

    • Hey Steve…If you remember correctly, Betty and I both dislike mimes…And it’s more than just MIME over matter, because even though I hate to BOX them in, 😉 they do tend to be creepy…And I agree, it’s a great Four Seasons song..but you can’t go by me, since I🎶Don’t Think Twice🎶 when it comes to them..They’ve always been in my Top 10….You made me LOL re Revlon. Funny thing, I got the same coupon. The tools they’re referring to are brushes..not jackhammers! Jackhammers, Indeed! You better MAKEUP for that comment…I’m hoping it’s just a slip of the LIP…STICK to what you know,Sir! 😂
👏🏻 on your sentence…I took a different tact… “The anticipation of meeting the SILENT PARTNERS for the first time, and the distraction in thinking of the STORMY relationship they always had with the company, caused such nervousness that she spilt all the soup BRINE…and taking a downward GLANCE realized that she’d need to STOMP her feet to get free of the puddle forming”… Seems like this weather’s really casting EYE SHADOW on my day! 😉…(Plus I made a gigantic pot of chicken soup, so…) Oh, and CVS? I always feel that if I were on a budget? After a few visits I could probably paper my half bath! ..😉 Have a good one, Steve. 💦☔️🙋🏻‍♀️

      • Love your black and white reference, Angela, and I don’t know why they bother me either but they do. And, yes, that game last night was one for the books.

      • CVS has an option to get digital receipts now, but that would spoil the fun of people posting pictures of themselves holding receipts taller than they are! At least they *finally* changed their on-hold music. Even non-stop ads aren’t as annoying as that was! 😂🙋🏻‍♂️

        Liked by 1 person

      • LOL! Tell me about it. Jimmy Kimmel did a riff on the length of the receipts one night. I wonder if it’s on-line somewhere..it was hysterical and so spot on. It’s ridiculous, really…I missed out on a sale once, just waiting for the thing to stop printing! 😂 And what makes it more insane, is that you have to get back there within such a short time span, that half the time it’s all moot anyway…Like who needs to be in CVS three days out of the week? SMH! And don’t get me started on the music…that’s another day altogether! 😉 🙋🏻‍♀️

      • About your rain – There’s an article about Sutton Foster appearing in SF for New Year’s, and she says she’ll sing a Noel Coward song called “Come the Wild Wild Weather” that she says fits perfectly. (I’d never heard of it) 🙋🏻‍♂️

      • But first of all, are you familiar with Sutton Foster? (How great is that name though, right)? I think if you listen to it, you may recognize it. It’s a sweet fluffy kind of song…it’s Noel Coward! And what it fits perfectly is her voice. That lithe, delicate quality. Ethereal..🎶🙋🏻‍♀️

      • No, I’d never heard of her, but I just listened to the song on YouTube.
Also, alert Jeff – Wilco is coming to the Fox Theater in Oakland on March 27. Maybe he’ll need a vacation by then. 😂 I’m out for awhile, see you later. 🙋🏻‍♂️

  6. Good evening. Funny thing happened on the way to a doctor visit. I forgot to finish the jumble. I was able to get the words but had no time to work on the cartoon answer. After about 15 minutes it was off for an appointment. After that I had five other things to do and completely forgot to get back to it. Thought I’d check on you guys and realized I was absent. The answer usually looks so simple when you see it. Loved your song choice Angela. Until tomorrow stay well. Hey if I see Noah’s ark going by I think I’ll hop on. There’s been enough rain here this month already.

    • Hey Paul. Thanks. One of my favorites…And the Ark? You’re not kiddin’. It’s still coming down here…and now it’s getting cold out besides…Bet it feels so good to get into the warm house….Enjoy…and have a great night…☔️🙋🏻‍♀️
