  1. Good morning. Not a Monday solve but close to it. I voted that nothing slowed me down but truth be told Sculpt might have taken a minute longer to get than any of the other words. The cartoon answer was a blind solve. First one in a while. Until tomorrow stay well.

  2. The bright colored J!ACKET LINER which he wore while trying to SCULPT his name on the tree trunk seemed to attract HONEY bees, so he gave it up fearing he might wind up getting stung.

  3. Rapid fire solution even fast for a Mon solve.”In a nutshell ” wasn’t a blind solve, but close to it.A surprisingly quick solve, given no real paper just the online version. We had a nice family party in Dixon, but are still away until after Xmas at Utica,by Starved Rock.

  4. 🚢 Just as he boarded the ocean LINER, he noticed a woman in a red JACKET, with HONEY-colored hair and features that looked like they were SCULPT from porcelain…and he thought to himself…”IN A NUTSHELL…I’ve fallen in love”….🚢

👨🏻‍🎨 They asked him if he’d like to SCULPT, some statues for the diner,
It’d been a while…he went to find his tools and gloves and LINER…
He’d moved a lot, and wondered…did he leave it, did he pack it?
He hoped it’d be inside the box where he kept the old JACKET
The lid came off, it all was there…old HONEY clay does smell…
The memories came flooding back…and all IN A NUTSHELL! 👨🏻‍🎨

  5. Good Morning, Everyone! Years ago when I was turned down for my first promotion, a colleague gave me a plaque with this saying…I still have it…and it still rings true! 😂😂 Wishing Everyone a great day! 🥜🌳🙋🏻‍♀️

Don’t worry if your job is small,
    And your rewards are few.
    Remember that the mighty oak,
Was once a nut like you.

      • ROTFL!!! 👏🏻👏🏻 Back then I didn’t care all that much about the cash..,It was the first promotion I went out for..And I was just really COUNTing on it…It did eventually come…but you know how it is…you always remember your first…😉🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Good Monday puzzle this morning. No problem at all with he words or cartoon answer. Sweet! Love your quote, Angela. Have a good day all!

    • Hi Betty. Good Morning. Tk you…I’ve grown to love it too! If the shoe fits…!!! 😉🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. Hi all – Got the words – recognized SCULPT from a previous appearance. Saw the answer as I was writing down the letters.

Oak trees even grow on the flags of some cities!

Hope you all have a not-too-hectic day!

“The explanation of the odd statue IN A NUTSHELL was that he wanted to SCULPT his HONEY on an ocean LINER to recreate the “Titanic” scene, but she insisted on wearing a JACKET”.

  8. On 12/18 jumble it turned out the answer was
    Curb hunger.
I came up with urge brunch since all the letters worked.
In all the years I have played I don’t recall where two
    Answers were ok.

    Your clarification would be appreciated.

    • Hi Aaron. If you’ll note, some other readers wrote in on 12/18 saying the same thing. While I can’t speak for David Hoyt, the author, despite the letters working, (which is an odd coincidence), Urge Brunch really wouldn’t be correct technically. Food carts, as a rule, are parked curbside throughout the entire day. With the definition of Brunch being a meal usually taken late in the morning that combines a late breakfast and an early lunch…what then happens with dinner…and the hours after? Going with Brunch would disallow the rest of the day. Again, I’m not speaking for David, I’m just going by our understanding of the answer. And I’m sure that if David wasn’t at present caring for his ailing Mother, he’d be happy to drop us a line, since he does read our comments. I hope my explanation helps…Thanks for reading our blog, and I wish you and yours a very Happy and Healthy Holiday. Enjoy your evening, Aaron.🙋🏻‍♀️
