Jumble Answers for 10/19/2019

Good Morning, Everyone! ✌🏻 CAN’T WE ALL GET ALONG? ✌🏻

🎶 GET ALONG on down the road…We’ve got a long long way to go. Scared to live, scared to die…We ain’t perfect but we try. GET ALONG while we can, always give love the upper hand…Paint a wall, learn to dance, call your mom, buy a boat, drink a beer, sing a song, make a friend…CAN’T WE ALL GET ALONG…🎶 “Get Along” – Kenny Chesney 2018

✌🏻The quote that we have often heard…about bedfellows strange,
We see depicted here today as this group went for change.
They shed the GUILT and tread the CHOPPY waters to attain…
The type of true bipartisanship where everybody gains.
They worked to see fruition of a PLAZA with a park,
(I’m trying to work TROPIC in…but I’m left in the dark)…
But if there’s anything we learn by looking at these three…
Is that yes, two can tango at a POLITICAL PARTY…✌🏻

The Haves and the Have Nots. Politics and today’s words…We don’t seem to have TROPIC, and I find that so hard to believe. But we have had our other three, all fairly recently, and with two repeat anagrams. GUILT and CHOPPY are serving both sides of the fence, while PLAZA was last seen on 11/14/17. And while none of our words were deal breakers today, if I had to choose, I’d VOTE for TROPIC, since it’s the only word that had the Early Birds a little hot under the collar this morning…

Today’s cartoon finds us attending a PARTY, and according to our cake, we’re celebrating the opening of JUMBLE PARK. At first I thought we might be at the Park itself, since I saw the fountain in the background at right…but with the absence of any trees or grass in the panel, I’m going to guess that we’re indoors, and that fountain might be one of chocolate. Our question is telling us that the project came to be as a result of LAWMAKERS WORKING TOGETHER. And oddly enough, the same words are heard in our dialogue, with our male character echoing the same sentiment…”We were all able to…WORK TOGETHER”. Is that a first? It might be…No, not POLITICIANS working together, I meant is that a first for the same words to be used in both our dialogue and our question…(But I can see where there might be some confusion)! But here today, we are seeing the results of bipartisanship, and what was most likely a case of cause célèbre has turned into a case of celebrating the cause…and that’s exactly what our characters are doing…celebrating. At a POLITICAL PARTY! Good one, David! You definitely get my VOTE!

Ok, eye candy. There’s the aforementioned fountain, and a little boy seeming to marvel at it. Is it a water fountain? Or are we for sure indoors, and yes, it’s a Chocolate Tower? I mean why else would he look so excited? Only thing is, it’s colored blue. Go figure. There’s a group of people way in the background, silhouetted in black, and a man and a woman speaking together just beyond the fountain. Our three main characters are holding drinks, his looks like a can, while the women look to be holding Solo cups. We have our cake, as I said, reading Jumble Park, with a cake cutter in front, and plates off to its side. But what caught my eye was what was in the large plate sitting on the table. At first I thought they might be candles…if for no other reason than that I couldn’t imagine what they were. But on closer inspection, you know what MEATS the eye? They’re pigs in a blanket…But I think I characters would be wise to take a pass...Because from the looks of them? There may be TRUFFLES ahead…So, There you have it Folks, Done! Have a great day, Everyone!…And I’ll just say this..If you’re anything like me? Today POLITICS me off! ✌🏻🙋🏻

  1. The answer to this jumble is POLITICAL PARTY. These have been much in the news lately, and it is interesting to note the many verbosely vivid anagrams of this answer, including some that might fit in the answer slot, namely APTLY PICTORIAL, RACIALLY TIPTOP, PARALYTIC PILOT, PARTIALLY TOPIC (or off topic?), PIRATICALLY POT (or TOP), RIPPLY COATTAIL, and TOTALLY PRIAPIC. Also, what does it say on the cake? I see something like JUMBLE PAKK. Could it be JUMBLE PARTY? Could the people who create these Jumbles be getting into politics?

    • Hi Jim. As I’ve mentioned twice in my post, the cake reads “JUMBLE PARK”. And as far as Politics goes, this blog’s bipartisan, and I’ve no place to speak for the Jumble creators. But if anything’s being said here today, it’s that we all need to start WORKING TOGETHER…Have a good one! ✌🏻🙋🏻

  2. Not exactly a walk in the PARK…but I did my best to get them to WORK TOGETHER…🙋🏻

💨 Walking across the PLAZA, with the CHOPPY winds blowing, he realized that they could have been vacationing in a warm TROPIC-like climate, and he felt GUILT about cancelling their vacation all because of the POLITICAL PARTY he had to attend…💨

✂️ She talked him into getting a haircut with some flair,
And now she’s living with the GUILT, since it’s quite hard to bear…
She wanted something CHOPPY, a trendy kind of look,
And not this look of TROPIC birds that she’s seen in some books.
She thought that with the new barber the PLAZA advertised,
That he would get a haircut really easy on the eyes…
Instead it proved disastrous, where he once looked hale and hardy…
He now looks like a loser from a failing POLITICAL PARTY! ✂️

  3. Hi Everyone –
I had to back into tropic and initially thought the first word of the answer would relate to working together. Some frost this morning. Maybe my wasps are done for.

    • Hi Caroline, Good Morning. Did you notice the words “working together” in both the dialogue and the answer question? I thought that was so odd…A few of the Early Birds weren’t “happy” with the solution this morning…they felt it didn’t make sense. But I tried pointing out “Political” Party…the political parties…still no cigar, so I LEFT it alone. It was too early in the morning, and I wasn’t in the mood to hear that I always think I’m RIGHT! 😉 I did think it was very clever though… And as for TROPIC, after the VOTES for not getting the solution, it seems to be LEADING IN THE POLLS! 😉 We’re pretty chilly here too this morning…but thank God, no wasps! I hate the little devils, they’re so destructive…My poor brother had to get a new roof because so many of them had nested. Now I make sure my roofer comes 4 times a year to go up there and check. You know me and wildlife.,,I enjoy living it, not living with it! 😂 Here’s hoping yours are gone .🦗🦗! Have a great day, Caroline. Stay warm! 🙋🏻

      • I hadn’t noticed that “working together” appeared twice until reading your post, but I can’t recall if that’s happened before. I thought the answer was a good one, just not what I was looking for. The wasps do some good things, like killing other bugs and pollinating. I haven’t heard about them doing in a roof.

        • Yes, I really wonder if it’s a first. The wasps? They somehow nested so badly in so many areas of his roof, that it was either them or him…The roof was a goner, and his wife didn’t want to move…😉 so….Goodbye wasps! And I know they do good too, I just rather not see it in action! The temp’s climbing here, we’ve gone from 40 to 52…it’s a heat wave! 😉🙋🏻

  4. Good morning. I had no problem with the words and went straight to the cartoon answer. Unbeknownst to me,I only came up with what checks out to be the only true answer. At least in the eyes of the creators. I had Party right away but it took me some time to come up with Political. Angela,I am a Met fan first and since they are out I would root for the Yanks but I’m in a slight conundrum. I had a friendly $5 wager that the Atlanta Braves would beat one of my bocce players Cardinals and they lost. I wanted a chance to get even and take the Nationals but he refused. He made a $3 bet with another guy that the Yanks would beat the Astros. He wanted the same bet with me but I wouldn’t bite. Now if the Yanks blow it I would be sad but at the same time happy that the guy lost his bet. After all he didn’t give me a chance to get even. He is so competitive, hates to lose and I think I was ahead a couple of dollars in friendly bets before this last one. Until tomorrow stay well everybody.

    • Good Morning, Brooklyn! How you make me laugh! I’m no true blue Yankee fan, but over the years I’ve learned to curtail any hate. Especially with almost all my nephews rooting for them,. And as far as now, as a NY’er I try not to root against any of our teams, especially this go around with Houston. I’d rather see the Yanks pull it off. As far as the betting though? I learned a long time ago to not bet with/against my family or my friends. It never ends well. I definitely love a good wager, but I keep it “out of the house”. Too much angst otherwise! 😉 And this guy you’re speaking of? Is he the same one who breaks your shoes over Bocce all the time? Tough call..,Either you stop betting with him, or become as obnoxious as he is…And there’s no way I can see you doing the latter…you’re way too sweet of a guy. So the conundrum? I wish I knew what to tell you, Brooklyn. Maybe bite the bullet until the Super Bowl? 😉…Oh yea, the puzzle. LOL! Glad you WORKED it out! Have a great day, Paul. See ya on deck…I’ll be the one in the Judge Jersey! 😘🙋🏻

  5. Being a member of the Hate Yankees club, sorry to see them win last night, though the Hicks HR was barely fair as it hit the Foul(Fair) pole.Had it been foul, who knows.
As far as the Jumble, tropic totally stumped me,but given tropic, and the letters, party was a quick solve, followed by political.

    • Good Morning, Professor. Tropic does seems to be the stumper today, and as I mentioned in my post, I was surprised to not find it in the archives. But I’m glad you POLLED off the solution! Have a great day, Prof! 👍🏻🙋🏻

  6. I got stumped because I thought the first word was “Patriotic” not “Political”.😳

    • Hi Robert. Good Morning, and welcome! You may have gotten stumped…but IMO, one can never go wrong with Patriotic! Thanks for commenting, and we’d love to have you do so again! Wishing you a wonderful day! 🇺🇸🙋🏻

  7. I don’t know what happened to me today but The answer to this Jumble was instantaneous. From there all the words were a breeze.

    • Hi Jensen…Good Morning! Maybe it has to do with the feel good message…Working Together! And I thought todays words were a breeze too! Thanks for commenting, and we’d love to see you here again. Have a great day! 👍🏻🙋🏻

  8. Paused at tropic but really got all of the other words and the cartoon answer without difficulty. I thought it was a clever Jumble. Hope all of you have a good dayl

    • Good Morning, Betty. See? I told you not to worry! 😉 And I agree, it was a very clever solve. Hoping you have a wonderful day…👍🏻🙋🏻

  9. Hi all – The double P’s and ‘Y’ at the end showed CHOPPY quickly. The answer did take me a while. PARTY was pretty obvious, but I was a bit distracted by the “work together’ dialog and was thinking COALITION, but writing the letters showed it.

Thanks for pointing out the pigs-in-a-blanket, Angela. I was wondering what they were; possibly tiny cannelloni or those little party popper favors. Good luck with the game tonight.

Have a great day and weekend, everyone!

“Having worked hard on the Jumble all year, they felt no GUILT lazing about on the PLAZA or fishing in the CHOPPY TROPIC waters for two weeks.”

  10. I think they still should have disagreed over what kind of cake to serve. Term limits on cakes to serve!

    • ROTFL! Hi Clay. Nice to see you, I’ve missed you! You know, I didn’t mention, but that cake is green, with a yellowish iciing. Now I know that’s not Jeff’s doing, but it does make one wonder just what is it that this color guy is smoking? I mean, ok, maybe pistachio? But still…IDK! TBT? IMO…I’d have had a term limit on this cake! Between it and those scraggly looking pigs-in-the-blankets? I hope whatever it is they’re drinking makes them happy! 😂 …And that’s as political as I’m gonna get…Cause you definitely don’t want to get me started! 😂😂 Have a good one, Clay. Don’t be a stranger! 🚬🙋🏻

  11. TROPIC slowed me down. Then the cartoon gave PARTY away with CELEBRATE. The leftover letters HAD to be POLITICAL. Tomorrow about same 60° but….grab those slickers! Enjoyed news about first two women spacewalkers. Told my wife no matter where they are, women find a way to go out shopping. My reward? No laugh, no breakfast, no lunch, & she went out shopping.
