STU OLE THOR BROE = TROUBLE-SHOOTER

Good Morning, Everyone! ↖️ A SHOT IN THE PARK? ↖️

🎶 BANG BANG into the room (I know you want it)…Bang bang all over you (I’ll let you have it)…Yo, I said bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang…🎶 “Bang, Bang” – Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj  2014

↖️ I’ve often gone Skeet Shooting, but unlike this woman here,
I wouldn’t go so far and such responsibility bear…
The more that I’ve grown OLDER, I’ve learned that something BROKEN,
Should be left to the pros…these are the words you’ll hear I’ve spoken.
I’ve been STUNG many times before, thinking that I knew best,
The days trying my hand at things to say I took the test?
They’ve gone the way of my big hair, and me out running track…
I might still run, but not compete…(and here I’ll rhyme THORAX)!
The bottom line it comes to this…when that word Pull is heard…
I need to be assured I’m safe…anything less absurd…
So hats off to this woman…and I’ll give more power to her,
But I’m content to make trouble…not be a TROUBLE-SHOOTER!↖️

While there aren’t any new clue words this morning, David’s managed to pull out all new anagrams. We have THORAX going back to 02/26/13, while OLDER ironically comes in as our newest entry. And STUNG and BROKEN have appeared ten times total between 2014 and 2018. The bit of a stumper? Turns out it was THORAX that was a little hard to swallow

For those not familiar with SKEET SHOOTING, it’s a sport where clay targets are flung into the air and shot at. And today we find ourselves out on a range where two men and a woman are participating in a shoot. The woman, in a bit of a jam, having TROUBLE with her shotgun, is overheard telling her companion that she’s got it covered, as she’s inserting a cleaning rod into the barrel to FIX the situation. The woman’s a regular TROUBLE-SHOOTER! Good one, David…you CLAY me!

Eye candy? There’s the two clay tiles overhead, with the one being hit shown with a burst of gold…and another burst can be seen as the bullet leaves the shooters’ gun. But the pic seems a little up in the air to me. I see the woman wearing glasses, but not her protective earmuffs, same as the man at back. The guy she’s speaking with has his muffs around his neck, but where are his glasses? Got me over a barrel…So I think I’ll just take a shot in the dark, and go with the word PULL seen way off to the right where another gun barrel is visible. It’s about all I can aim for…So, There you have it Folks, Done! Have a great day, Everyone! You’ve been a great target audience!↖️🙋🏻

  1. Thorax? Thorax? …🤦🏻‍♀️
💊Having developed an esophageal infection, after being STUNG by a bee, he felt OLDER and BROKEN with the pain through his THORAX, and wished he’d been a TROUBLE-SHOOTER and avoided that walk through the park…

🔬While studying anatomy, the THORAX was assigned,
And he had trouble getting it…a lot was on his mind…
He’d argued with his girlfriend, her words had STUNG him deep,
His schedule all BROKEN …he’d hardly gotten sleep…
His OLDER brother warned him…”You should stay away from her…
    Heed my advice, I’m telling you…be a TROUBLE-SHOOTER”…🔬

  2. First off we’re at home this weekend for the WIU Homecoming and our daughter’s family’s here for it. So I had a real newspaper for the Jumble which was surprisingly easy for a Sat puzzle. No problems w/the anagrams, and even thorax was a snap, as was the final puzzle solution with shooter an obvious second word and trouble quickly following.

  3. Good morning. I gave Thorax for the hardest word only because it wasn’t an instant read like the others. Looking at all the letters from the words I saw Shooter in the cartoon answer right away which gave me no trouble to get trouble. Loved both your posts, but you know not the song choice. I dislike the two singers. Especially Ariana, who got caught licking the donuts that were for sale. Isn’t there another singer with Bang Bang your dead in the words? I can’t come up with the rest for now. Until later stay well.

    • Good Morning, Brooklyn. THORAX got my friends too this morning. It’s not a word we see that often, and I agree that the puzzle was an easy one today, Thanks for the Shout Out, and I had a strong feeling you’d dislike the music..😉…It’s my “vacuuming” song. I turn that on, and dance around while I vacuum. 😉 Very motivating!…But here’s what I think you had in mind, another song that I too enjoy. Hoping you have a great day, Brooklyn! Keep warm! 🙋🏻

      • For you, Brooklyn? Anything! 😘 You’re very welcome! I hope you:enjoyed it. I wanted to give you the video with her singing it live….but it never would have gotten past the censors! 🙄 And thanks for catching my typo. You’re Aces in my book…Have a great day, Bud! ↖️🙋🏻

  4. Hi all – No problem with the words today. At first glance I thought the answer was going to be very hard, but then it suddenly just appeared.

My only “Trouble” now is that I’ve got the Motown classic “Shotgun” by Junior Walker and the All-Stars running through my head. Oops, just thought of SKEETer Davis too; there’s another one!

Are those called clay pigeons also Angela? Could make for a good Jumble puzzle. I’ve fired exactly one shot in my life, from a 30.06 rifle, and that was enough for me.

Have a great day and weekend, everyone! We’re off to an exciting start with a small earthquake at 8:45 PDT while I was doing the Jumble. Just one quick small shake with no noise or damage, just offshore from SF.

    • Yes, Steve, 3.9 centered in Colma. I was eating breakfast and felt it. After our experience here in 1989, I always have a moment of apprehension wondering if the shaking is going to intensify. So far so good.

  5. Have never been skeet shooting but had no problem with the words or solution today. Shooting came to mind immediately and trouble just fell into place. Happy Saturday to all of you.
