CARTOON ANSWER: ONE DAY PEOPLE LIVING IN ORBIT WILL BE ABLE TO WATCH TV ON – – –

ISS   OAT   SPNT   CEA   =  SPACE STATIONS

Good Morning, Everyone!            🚀 THE REAL REMOTE CONTROL! 🚀

🎶 Fly me to the MOON…Let me play among the STARS…Let me see what spring is like on JUPITER and MARS…In other words, hold my hand…in other words, Baby, kiss me…🎶 “Fly Me to the Moon” – Frank Sinatra 1964  https://tinyurl.com/yczrbc5c

🚀 I guess it could be feasible, I’m not one to deny,
But I don’t care to think of life and living in the sky…
I’m happy in my BLISS down here, the Earth beneath my feet,
I like it where there’s country roads and pavement in the streets…
But looking at these faces, so young and full of glee,
Perhaps they GLOAT for what they have…these free falling TVs…
But would their skin stay CREAMY? Space does affect the pores,
And Zero Gravity might call the need to SPLINT fissures…
The bottom line is I’m content with this of God’s creations,
So even if I had a chance, I’ll pass on these SPACE STATIONS 🚀

Once again today, our words are all Sweet Repeats. While BLISS seems to have been seen only once before, in 2016, GLOAT makes its 10th appearance today, last in use 5 weeks ago on December 7th. CREAMY dates back to 2014, and only SPLINT caused a bit of a pause…but nothing to go FAR OUT on a limb about…

ORBIT…Finding ourselves aboard a Spaceship, we see four young people, pre-teens perhaps, drifting around watching TV. With “2001 A Space Odyssey” https://tinyurl.com/y7puqxub playing on screen, the dialogue is telling us that some of the group would rather be watching Cartoons, (on the COMET-y Channel perhaps)? or a game on another STATION. Hmm… In SPACE?  Need I say more? In answer to our question? One day people will be watching TV on…SPACE STATIONS! Good one, David! ME? TEOR to know by now how much I love your work!

Ok, eye candy. Earth can be seen as a blue orb outside the darkened window. Some controls are seen on the panel above the TV screen. With the Apes and the Monolith (a curve though)? showing, the scene playing looks to be the “Dawn of Man” segment https://tinyurl.com/ybkzgapt from the “Classic Kubrick” movie as the young boy at left is heard referring to it. Between him and the girl farthest left, is a floating blue bottled drink with a straw extended. Above said girl, a gray remote control is afloat. The “Kubrick” boy is eating a chocolate chip cookie. And the boy farthest right is holding what seems to be a sheet of yellow legal pad paper. (TV Guide)? All four of our floaters are dressed in shades of blue and black…Once again, Jeff’s great little details are OUT OF THIS WORLD. My pick? The Monolith…The curve? SIRIUSly? So, There you have it Folks, Done. Have a great day, Everyone! PLANET well! 🚀🙋🏻

CARTOON ANSWER:   THE COUPLE WHO HAD THEIR SOFA RE-COVERED WITH A VERY EXPENSIVE FABRIC WERE – – –

TIE   MTA  ARLC   IIS   =   MATERIALISTIC

Good Morning, Everyone!            🛋  COVER YOUR “I’s”… 🛋

🎶 Some boys kiss me, some boys hug me…I think they’re ok, If they don’t give me proper credit…I just walk away…’Cause we are living in a MATERIAL world…And I am a MATERIAL girl. You know that we are living in a MATERIAL world…And I am a MATERIAL girl…🎶 “Material Girl” – Madonna 1984 https://tinyurl.com/yafu7faa

🛋 With the object of a sofa being comfort besides looks,
This woman saying you can’t touch is one set for the books…
Why cover it so lavishly and want people to see,
It’s covered TWICE..but still off limits to both you and me?
The guy looks Heavy METAL, a beard and pony tail…
The woman looking kind of odd…a hairdo that’s a fail.
Ceramic dog looks poised to run, a GARLIC colored hue,
Supposedly a racing type, thin…CRISIS-like milieu.
So wrapped up in themselves they are, I can’t get their logistics…
It simply shows the fabric of this couple? MATERIALISTIC! 🛋

Searching through the archives this morning, I was surprised to see that CRISIS wasn’t listed. Again, it’s one of those words that seem so familiar that I thought for sure we had seen it before. Our three other words are all Sweet Repeats, numerous times over. GARLIC comes in as our most oft repeated word, with today marking its 6th appearance, and it’s also our most recently used entry, last seen on January 28th, ’18. As for degree of difficulty, CRISIS leads the pack, with GARLIC giving it a run for its MONEY

Our cartoon today places us in a living room where we see a man and a woman and a garishly colored purple couch….She has rings on the fingers of both hands, and is wearing what looks like an Apple Watch. He sports one also, on his left wrist, while what appears to be a Fitbit is worn on his right. A picture of them, fancily dressed  and posing besides a sports car hangs on the wall, while below it a modern-art statue of a white dog is shown. The dialogue centers on how the couch, the center of attraction, newly covered in what we’re told is a very expensive MATERIAL, is to be SEEN..but not HERD…it’s not for the crowd that’s coming to the party they’re planning…It’s just for show….This couple is just plain old…MATERIALISTIC

SOFA …so good…

Please check back, in a few hours when I’ll be able to COVER the cartoon in better detail. In the meantime…Have a great day, Everyone! …🛋🙋🏻

AULFW = AWFUL

KIDNR = DRINK

SEWBOT = BESTOW

XEOPES = EXPOSE

CARTOON ANSWER:

AFTER TEACHING THE SCOUTS HOW TO BUILD A CAMPFIRE, THE TROOP LEADER – – –

AWDKSTOSE = WAS STOKED

Happy Thursday, Jumble players! For the third time this week we have a brand new clue word making its debut into gameplay. Mr. Hoyt offered up BESTOW in an effort to befuddle our brains and this time it worked! It ended up taking me the longest time to solve which made it my pick for most difficult anagram of the day. The remaining three words were readily visible and took longer to write their solutions in the answer boxes than solve. Our oldest word this morning was AWFUL and it was scrambled as FALWU the last time we saw it on 2/2/16. On a final note, all of the anagrams were presented to us in alphabetical order.

Before I start my analysis of today’s cartoon, I’d like to take a moment to share some sad news with you. The online version of the Jumble game that I use to enlarge and see all of the unique details within the cartoon has decided to change their format. They still print the Jumble but they post today’s cartoon very late in the afternoon which is well after I write my post. Unless anyone knows of another website that offers the cartoon in a larger format, I’ll be forced to comment on what is readily visible and update my post later in the day with all of the tiny details that you can’t see in the newspaper copy. This makes me a very unhappy camper, but today’s panel offered up a group of happy ones that I’ll do my best to tell you about.

The setting for today’s panel brings us to a clearing in the woods where we encounter four Jumble characters. Three of them are young boys and they are all seated around a glowing campfire. The cartoon sentence informs us that they are a pack of scouts and that they’ve just been taught how to build a proper fire. The scout leader is overjoyed at the scouts progress and he can be seen doing a happy dance. He’s also waving his marshmallow stick high above his head while holding up his right index finger to indicate that his troop is #1. I noticed that the troop leaders right foot is awfully close to the campfire and if he isn’t careful he’ll soon be giving the kids a lesson in first aid!

The final solve was an anagram consisting of 9-letters. The layout was cryptic but the leading nature of the sentence brought WAS instantly to mind as the first word. Crossing out those letters allowed me to find STOKED after a few moments of staring at the cartoon. Be sure to stop back later in the day for updates on the tiny details that I couldn’t make out and please vote below for the anagram that stumped you the most. Have a terrific Thursday!!!

CARTOON ANSWER:

THE COURT CASE AGAINST THE MANUFACTURER OF THE FAULTY WINDOWS WAS – – –

HOUDATSPENN = OPEN AND SHUT

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Today’s game featured all recycled clue words that didn’t take any time to decipher. They were all used last year with the exception being DRAFT. We last saw it in gameplay on 9/15/16 where it was scrambled as FARDT. Since they all came easily, I’ll leave a poll down below where you can vote for the most difficult anagram of the day.

Jumble artist, Jeff Knurek, decided to keep the courtroom theme going for one more day in his midweek cartoon offering. Looking at the panel, we see three Jumble characters in the frame with a window on the witness stand. The woman on the left can be seen pointing her right hand at the window while stating in her dialogue that the problem with the window is obvious. Since the online version of the puzzle wasn’t available this morning, I had to take a few extra seconds to figure out exactly what the problem was. It finally occurred to me that the glass panels of the window swivel left to right instead of going up and down. Talk about a real pane in the glass!!! The judge has seen enough of the plaintiffs case and immediately rules in their favor. The defendant has a look of defeat in his facial expression as well as in his body language and his dialogue in the form of a question added a touch of comedic relief to the courtroom drama that just unfolded. I guess you could say that he missed his window of opportunity to sway the case in his favor.

The letter layout for the final solution was 11-letters in length which is the same amount of letters as yesterday’s game. Focusing on the anagram for a few seconds allowed me to see “PEN” which made me think of OPEN. With those letters crossed out the rest of the solution immediately came into view for the finish. Have a wonderful Wednesday, and I’ll see you right back here tomorrow!

OAALK = KOALA

TIYKT = KITTY

CPCINI = PICNIC

LIFEDD = FIDDLE

CARTOON ANSWER:

THE THEME FOR THE INSPECTOR CLOUSEAU FILM CAUSED BLAKE EDWARDS TO BE – – –

KLKITPCNIDE = TICKLED PINK

Happy Tuesday, Jumble fans! For the second day in a row we have a brand new clue word. PICNIC makes its debut this morning, and it’s such a simple word that I would have thought it had been used before. The other three are coming up as old favorites with KOALA being my pick for the most difficult anagram to decipher. FIDDLE was a close second but the two D’s already coupled together for us in the layout allowed it to come into view rather quickly. FIDDLE was also the oldest anagram of the day and it was scrambled as DIFELD the last time we saw it on 6/16/17.

Today’s cartoon was a bit of a challenge for me as I struggled to figure out who the two men were. The cartoon sentence and dialogue gave me some pretty good hints and Google allowed me to fill in the missing pieces. I knew that Inspector Clouseau was a character in the Pink Panther movies so I did some searching to find out who composed the theme music. It turns out that it was Henry Mancini and he is the gentleman we see playing the piano. Blake Edwards was the director of the film and he can be seen standing on the right.

The letter layout for the final solve was 11-letters in length and kept the solution very well hidden. If I hadn’t done some sleuthing beforehand I would have been completely lost on this one. With all of the clues fresh in my mind, PINK jumped out at me leaving seven letters to decipher. TICKLED took a bit of mental gymnastics but it wasn’t overly difficult to figure out. Have a terrific Tuesday, and I’ll see you right back here tomorrow!

ESEGE = GEESE

GBAYB = GABBY

DINEDH = HIDDEN

NOJRIU = JUNIOR

CARTOON ANSWER:

THE LAWYERS IN THE COURTROOM WERE – – –

GEEGBDDNJUI = BEING JUDGED

Happy Monday, Jumble friends! Today’s puzzle offered up a brand clue word in GABBY while all of the others were old favorites. None of them gave me any trouble and I was able to breeze right through them at first glance. HIDDEN was the oldest of the group and was scrambled as DINDHE the last time we saw it on 4/2/17. And finally, ESEGE is the same anagram we had last time for GEESE when it was in gameplay on 4/10/18.

Our cartoon this morning brings us into a courtroom where we encounter three Jumble characters. The first thing that I noticed was that the judge looked rather unhappy and he can be seen pointing his right index finger at both of the attorneys. The dialogue informs us that these two counselors have made some type of error and the judge is calling them out on it. He even went so far as to question if they’ve passed the bar exam which leaves them both with their mouths wide open and panicked looks upon their faces.

There were only a couple of extra details in the panel that caught my attention with most of the visual appeal of the cartoon relying heavily upon the features of the characters. We see the judge seated in an oversized chair behind his bench with his gavel close at hand. On the bench is an emblem featuring the scales of justice with the left bowl being slightly larger than the right. This small detail was my favorite as it gave the cartoon a sense of dimension since it was drawn at an angle.

The final solution consisted of an 11-letter anagram which solved into two words. The cartoon sentence was the shortest that we’ve had in quite awhile and contained only six words. Noticing the JU together in the layout brought JUDGE instantly to mind leaving BEING to be found next with the -ED ending to finish it all off. It was an easy way to start the week and I’ll see you all right back here for tomorrow’s puzzle! ⚖️

FRUUET – FUTURE

LUTEML – MULLET

TRYHOW – WORTHY

CARTOON ANSWER:   THE COMPUTER CODER WANTED HIS LAZY CO-WORKER TO – –

TI   GOP   GAH   TRE   MET   WRH  = GET WITH THE PROGRAM

Good Morning, Everyone!               🕹 PLAYING FOR TIME 🕹

🎶 Many a tear have to fall…But it’s all in the GAME..All in the wonderful GAME, that we know as love…🎶 “All in the Game” – Tommy Edwards 1958 https://tinyurl.com/y7hj9dwx

🕹 When Gamers sit to play a game, they never give a thought,
To what went on behind the scenes to make this game they bought…
The hours spent that turn GARISH, the GOSSIP ‘mong the crew,
‘Bout who is working up to par and who’s not earned his due.
The FUTURE of these games depends on coders sitting tight,
And taking on the STIGMA of the ones who work all night…
Perhaps a MULLET haircut, perhaps a crew-cut dude,
Behind the scenes they’re all WORTHY..and there’s no time to feud…
So when a deadline’s looming, and it’s time that they must cram…
It won’t go well unless they all can GET WITH THE PROGRAM…🕹

From what I can see this morning, we may have another new word with GARISH. The others, all Sweet Repeats, with GOSSIP appearing for the 8th time, and STIGMA the 9th. And none of the past anagrams are the same as today’s! Now that’s some really good enCODING! And rumor has it that GOSSIP is our most recent return, having appeared this past October 21st, while MULLET was only HAIR once before, way back in 2015…What slowed down the PROGRAMMING this morning? There were tics on everything except WORTHY…TRY HOW they might…each of the first 5 words made almost all the Early Birds take a second look…But being a far from LAZY group..they unCODED them all without a GLITCH!

This morning we see two bearded, disheveled BROGRAMMERS working on an UPDATE. But these HACK STREET BOYS seem to be having a PROBLEM. With the diaLOG telling us that a deadline is looming, we see that our PROGRAMMER at left is working HARD..DRIVEing forward, while the one at right is playing with his phone, drinking some soda, and not caring a bit. His “HUH” response, so dismissive, is probably making our worker bee SEE RED. From the look on his face, I bet he’s thinking…”BYTE me”…or maybe “I’ll give you Huh..I’d like to RAM something down your throat”! Or maybe even playing with some acronyms in his head like…”ISDN…It Still Does Nothing“! But if he said any of that out loud, I’m sure our slacker would probably just say..”Gimme a <br>”, or maybe even “Stop BOOLEAN me”! It’s not an ideal situation, and nothing seems to be CLICKING with these two, no matter how you CODE it…But the bottom line is…The THINKER needs the DRINKER to…GET WITH THE PROGRAM! ACUTE one David!…Just for the HACK of it!

Ok, eye candy…Once again, we have a purple shadowed panel. Our guy at front is holding a SUPER SODA, with a straw while he’s engrossed with his phone. The key word being GROSS. Looking pretty shoddy, with his unkempt hair and beard, one wonders what he might look like if he really CHIPped in and did some work…There’s an image of what I believe to be a JOYSTICK on his navy T-Shirt. Too bad he’s not a little bit more in CONTROL of his time though, huh?…Our serious CODER, looking so agitated, is seen as the MAIN (part of the) FRAME, and on his screen we can see a DATA listing, and the UPDATE that he’s working on. It may very well be an UPDATE for the JUST JUMBLE APP, because a cartoon is showing, with both Jeff and David pointing to a Jumble Puzzle in a newspaper. Seeming to be terribly upset, they’re speaking to one another, but I can’t DECIPHER the wording at all. We also see Jeff’s rescue dog Gizmo standing near. I’m making that Cartoon my candy today, because I can’t help but wonder if it’s one we’ve seen before…or something Jeff’s making us privy to for the FUTURE…Maybe Jeff’ll give us an UPDATE! So, There you have it, Folks, Done! Have a great day, Everyone! And keep in mind…CODE hands…Warm heart…🕹🙋🏻

And to Everyone celebrating the Feast of the Epiphany today, Little 🎄Christmas, the Day of  La Befana, Salute! 🍷Tanti Baci! ♥️💋

CARTOON ANSWER:    HIS ATTEMPT TO GIVE UP CIGARETTES – – –

UET   WMN   KEN   POIS   =  WENT UP IN SMOKE

Good Morning, Everyone!             🚬  AIR YOU HAVE IT 🚬

🎶 You said you love me…Oh I was so blind, you had my world spinning round and round…You said I was your heart and soul desire…There ain’t NO SMOKE without fire…🎶 “No Smoke” – Queensberry 2008  https://tinyurl.com/yaazw7rp

🚬 I’m wondering just where he went to light that cigarette,
By staying indoors did he think he wouldn’t have regret?
The window doesn’t always help, the wind will blow both ways,
And this guys’ WOMAN now’s become a little bit enraged…
The KITTEN that she might have been has lost her pretty POLISH,
She’s angry at him and he had to know he’d be admonished..
I think he’ll now be treated as a GUEST when night draws near,
And by that I mean he might not be in the bed they share…
Her look, her words, severity looms…it’s certainly no joke,
It looks to me like he and she for sure WENT UP IN SMOKE…🚬

Before I go any further, I want to apologize to all my sisters out there for referring to our WOMAN as a KITTEN. Trust me, I was gritting my teeth. I had this faint image of an Ann Margaret type character, in boots and wielding a whip…(Not there’s anything wrong with that, but that’s a story for another time and place😉)…I hope you all realize that I had to take poetic license in order to work the word into the rhyme, and it was either that or having the smoke asphyxiate a defenseless animal. And since I don’t want an issue with the ASPCA, I had to slight us women. I appreciate your understanding. Ok…Strange as this may seem, especially in LIGHT of all this, I’m not finding WOMAN in the Archives. That can’t be possible can it? I’m going to look again later when I’m not so pressed for time. Our other words, Sweet Repeats a few times over, with KITTEN appearing for the 7th time, (it figures, right)?…and anagrammed exactly as it was three times before, going back to 2016. It’s also our most recent word, and had previously showed up twice, 9 days apart last July. None of the words posed any problems, though…they were all a breeze…

Speaking of breeze, we see one dominant in our cartoon today. A breeze blowing smoke-filled air back into the home of our featured couple. He’s sneaking a smoke, while she catches him trying to hide it. And our dialogue tells us that this isn’t their first rodeo either, since we hear her saying…”You said you quit”. Uh oh… https://tinyurl.com/ycktvbce  And it’s obvious that his previous attempts to kick the habit…WENT UP IN SMOKE! Good one, David…AIR YE! AIR YE!

Eye candy? A mint would come in handy…but we’ll make do with what we have…The entire panel is brushed in light purple. He sports a mustache and a soul patch, and is dressed in jeans and a black T-shirt. She’s in black tights and a green Tee. The air from the opened window is wafting the smoke upward. It seems like he may be in an attached garage, since she is able to smell the evidence, and he looks to be sitting on a corrugated cardboard crate, since it’s showing signs of being creased by his weight. A light switch turned to the ON position is visible on the wall, and through the opened window we can see the blue of daylight. I just can’t place where we are though, so I’m just going to make a judgement call…My thought? This guy’s definitely in the Doghouse…So, There you have it Folks, Done! Have a great day, Everyone…and be careful not to BLOW a good thing! 🚬🙋🏻

DALNG – GLAND

LLOGAB – GLOBAL

FSMITI – MISFIT

CARTOON ANSWER:   THE DELAYS AT THE SKYDIVING SCHOOL WERE A RESULT OF – – –

LND    HNE   GLBA   IFI   =         FALLING BEHIND

Good Morning, Everyone!            🛩 LEAP OF FAITH….AWAITS 🛩

🎶 Then JUMP…For my love…JUMP in, and feel my touch, JUMP if you want to taste my kisses in the night then...JUMP, JUMP, for my love…JUMP, JUMP…for my love..🎶 “Jump” – The Pointer Sisters 1983  https://tinyurl.com/yb87mt6e

🛩 I’m one of those who strongly feel that floating through the sky
Attached to strings and canvas is a sure fire way to die…
My GLOBAL sights are satisfied by looking at a map,
I’d rather have a MISFIT with some shoes or with a wrap…
I feel my sweat GLANDs acting up just thinking of a jump,
To leap out of an airplane makes me need an oxygen pump…
HENCE here I stand, feet on the ground, the way God has designed…
And late for lunch is more my speed regarding FALLING BEHIND!🛩

The only things new about today’s words are our anagrams, since collectively we’ve seen these words 11 times before. HENCE, comes in as our easiest solved, with GLOBAL holding the honor of being both our most recent at July 17th, and the hardest one to get past. 5 of the 11 Early Birds FELL BEHIND because of it…

Our cartoon today places us on an airstrip, which we learn is the location of a SKYDIVING SCHOOL. We see a man and a woman, looking terribly disappointed to hear that their lesson has been DELAYED. Another man, presumably the FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR is heard telling them that everything’s UP IN THE AIR, (PUN intended)…because both the MECHANIC and the PILOT missed their ETAs. The Mechanic called in sick and the Pilot’s late. Has he FLOWN the coop, or is it just a case of FALLING BEHIND SCHEDULE? We don’t know…The male student, is quiet, while the female is stating how she needs the JUMP for her certification. Certification? I’m thinking more along the LINEs of Certifiable! What is it with this seemingly sudden urge to Skydive? I mean we’ve always known it was there, but doesn’t it seem that lately every TIME you turn around someone else is FALLING for the idea, and making headlines with their head DIVES? Getting a RISE out of being strapped BEHIND another person and JUMPING out of an airplane? Seriously…don’t they see the GRAVITY of the situation? Personally, I just don’t get the attraction, and I do consider myself a pretty well-GROUNDED person. Anyway, that’s just my TAKE. OFF the mark? Perhaps. But in answer to our question, the DELAYS are a result of…FALLING BEHIND! Kudos, David…it SOAR is a good one!

Ok, eye candy…The aforementioned looks on the Students faces..mouths WIDE OPEN. Both have Parachutes strapped on their backs. The Instructor, looking sharp in his black FLIGHT Jacket and blue cap matching his pants, is holding a WRENCH. Hmm. A Wrench? Is he an Instructor? His cap displays a tiny Parachute! How CHUTE! There’s the Grassy field…and a Black silhouetted Control Tower. A Light Beige Airplane…But here’s where things get a little FLIGHTY…Back at the Plane? There’s a ladder, and a man in a red cap standing on it. He’s intently looking into the engine well, with his tongue hanging out, showing his degree of concentration…But I thought the Mechanic called in sick…So who is he then? And now that I mention it? Why’s our guy UP FRONT holding the Wrench? This opens up a whole new Pandora’s Tool Box, don’t you think? And the Wrench? Mikita? DeWalt? No, it’s the JUMBLE Brand! Hmm..What kind of a School is this anyway? The FLY BY NIGHT Skydiving School? Well, I guess it’s better than the School of HARD KNOCKS, right?  So, There you have it, Folks, Done! Have a great day, Everyone! And always remember…CHUTEing off  our mouths when we’re faced with an unforeseen DELAY is never the best move…Don’t let it go on reCORD that you cause adRIFT…Better to remain calm, FLY under the radar and just stay GROUNDED…🛩🙋🏻

CARTOON ANSWER:  WHEN IT BECAME CLEAR THEY WERE BREAKING UP, THE BEATLES WERE – – –

FR   DE   UN   OO  =   DONE “FOUR”

Good Morning, Everyone!      📀  THE “FAB FOUR”…WAS NO MORE 📀

🎶IMAGINE there’s no Heaven, It’s easy if you try…No hell below us…Above us only sky…🎶 “Imagine”- John Lennon 1971  https://tinyurl.com/y8mzzha4

🎶 MAYBE I’M AMAZED at the way you pulled me out of time…You hung me on the line…Maybe I’m amazed at the way I really need you…🎶 “Maybe I’m Amazed” – Paul McCartney 1970 https://tinyurl.com/y97vt9a2

🎶IT DON’T COME EASY…You know it don’t come easy…🎶 “It Don’t Come Easy” – Ringo Starr 1973   https://tinyurl.com/y8lrqbu6

🎶 ISN’T IT A PITY… now isn’t it a shame…How we break each other’s hearts…And cause each other pain…🎶 “Isn’t It A Pity” – George Harrison 1970 https://tinyurl.com/y82l96jw

📀 At the time who could imagine that the thought did even FLIRT…
Where DECAY started to erode the greatest band on Earth.
These four URCHINS as some called them, who made music so
sublime…
Would OPPOSE one another about rhythm, about rhyme…
But dissension grew amongst them…1970 closed the door,
And the Beatles went their separate ways, for they were now DONE “FOUR”…📀

🎶Because🎶 I’ve already taken up a lot of space here, I’m going to try to be as brief as possible with the rest of this post. But two things: 1- This is an exceptionally amazing cartoon, and deserves its due, and 2- Well, it’s me…And I’ll be the first to admit that brevity was never my strong suit. Regardless, I’m going on RECORD to say I’m going to try…

None of today’s words are new. DECAY, easily solved, appears for the 10th time, and surprisingly was anagrammed differently each time. Today’s OPPOSE, again an easy, breezy word, makes appearance #9, and it too has been unique each time, and also comes in as our most recent word at July 22nd, ’18. Quickly going over the other two, according to the Early Birds: FLIRT, not so quick, URCHIN…a few STRAY guesses…

And now, our CARTOON…Which today rates all CAPITAL letters…We see 🎶A Day In The Life🎶 of the BEATLES,  https://tinyurl.com/ydfo39mh, in order, top left going clockwise: the late John Lennon, (1980), Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Ringo Starr, and the late George Harrison (2001). The year, presumably 1970. Having decided to disBAND, we hear each of them lamenting the BREAK UP. What’s amazing here, is that the dialogue is entirely COMPOSED of the TITLE of each of FOUR SONGS that were recorded by each of them after the demise. And 🎶I Want to Tell You🎶, that if this isn’t creative, I don’t know what is….You could 🎶Twist and Shout🎶 any way you choose, but it’s not going to 🎶Please, Please Me🎶any better than this! And where I usually give a Tip of the Cap to the Graphic Artist, Jeff Knurek, here today, I’m standing cap in hand. So, in answer to our question…With the BREAK UP, The BEATLES were …DONE “FOUR“. It’s a really good one, David…but today? The 🎶Love Me Do🎶 goes to Jeff!

Eye candy? For a moment, I thought the panel itself was enough. Except for the Recording Reel-to-Reel off to the side, it’s just the men themselves. John in black, Paul, purple, Ringo, blue, and George, also black. Paul has the beginnings of a beard, and Ringo wears a neckerchief. But knowing Jeff, 🎶Something🎶 made me take a closer look. And 🎶I Should  Have Known Better🎶 than to doubt him…Up on the head of George’s Guitar, opposite the Tuning Pegs? It reads: JUMBLE, in beautiful cursive…Amazing! It’s 🎶Every Little Thing🎶 with Jeff! So, There you have it, Folks, Done! Have a great day, Everyone…and even though it’s still too early for me to say 🎶Here Comes The Sun🎶?..I’m going to say 🎶Good Morning, Good Morning…🎶…🎶From Me to You🎶 📀🙋🏻
