🧠 FINAL SOLVE
The final answer was a 10-letter anagram that solved into a single word of the same length. The challenge in our second-to-last puzzle of the work week was one long word to unscramble. Looking at the cartoon, it was obvious that the trash was somehow going to play a key role in the solve, but based on the dialogue alone, nothing immediately came to mind. With the clue words out of the way and the letters written out in front of me, I spotted DISPOSE right off the bat. With those letters accounted for, it was easy to tack the IN onto the front and the final D onto the end to take this one out to the curb. If today’s puzzle slowed you down, our nudges were the overflowing trash that needed to be DISPOSED of, while the husband’s dialogue and the football game taking priority showed that he considered himself INDISPOSED at the moment.
