Two patrons hold what appears to be a bamboo pole for the champion to pass beneath. Everyone is dressed in beach attire, and a couple of onlookers react with excitement and amazement as they watch him attempt the final pass.

➤ THE BEACH BAR SETTING

A tiki-style bar appears in the background, where a bartender or patron is holding a hurricane glass with a straw and fruit wedge garnish. Palm fronds frame the upper corners, while waves in the distance establish the beachside setting.

🎯 FINAL SOLVE

The final answer was a 12 letter anagram that solved into a “3” + 3 + 6 layout. Our hump day puzzle didn’t stay scrambled very long. With limbo being the subject of the cartoon, LOW was on the tip of my tongue from the start. The familiar expression is actually LO AND BEHOLD, where LO is an old word meaning look or see. In today’s cartoon, however, the creators replaced LO with “LOW” to match the limbo theme. If today’s puzzle slowed you down, our biggest nudges were the shading on the sand beneath the champion, the action lines under his body, and the cartoon sentence setup hinting that a familiar phrase would be his reply.
