CARTOON ANSWER:

IT REMAINS
TO BE SEEN

WELCOME BACK,

PUZZLE PLAYERS!

🧱 ROCK SOLID

Today’s cartoon takes us to the Great Pyramids, where a tour guide is sharing just how remarkable these ancient structures are. As the visitors take in their enormous size, the conversation turns to whether they’ll still be standing thousands of years from now. Even after surviving countless generations, the pyramids continue to inspire the same sense of wonder they always have. Only time will tell how much longer they’ll continue watching history unfold.

➤ Tour Guide Talk

The tour guide has short hair, glasses, and is wearing a short-sleeved zip-front shirt. He is pointing toward the pyramids.

➤ Wide-Eyed Wanderers

The man wears a wide-brimmed safari-style hat, a thin mustache with sideburns, a short-sleeved collared field shirt with shoulder tabs and two chest pockets, plus cargo shorts with the side pocket showing. Beside him, the woman wears a head covering over her hair and a short-sleeved V-neck shirt layered over a darker undershirt as both stare in amazement at the pyramids.

➤ Pyramid Panorama

Behind the group are four pyramids, with the largest one dominating the center of the scene. One pyramid rises behind it, another sits in front of it, and the smallest stands off to the right beside a resting camel. A second camel relaxes on the left side of the desert scene.

🧠 FINAL SOLVE

The final answer was a 17-LETTER ANAGRAM that solved into a 2 + 7 + 2 + 2 + 4 layout. In true Sunday fashion, the answer was almost as large as the Great Pyramids themselves, making for another satisfying solve. Looking at the cartoon, I had no idea where the answer was headed, especially with the cartoon sentence presented in the form of a question. The letter layout looked pretty cryptic at first. However, the IT at the end was all it took to get the ball rolling. IT REMAINS TO BE SEEN suddenly popped into my head, and the rest is history. If today’s puzzle slowed you down, our biggest nudge was the emphasis on the pyramids’ age and the question of whether they’ll still be standing thousands of years from now.
