📚 PLEA FOR HELP
Today’s cartoon takes us into a classroom where a simple writing assignment has turned into a spelling emergency for one of the students. One girl suddenly realizes she may not be nearly as confident with her vowels as she thought. The reaction from her classmate makes it clear the answer should have been obvious from the start. For some people, putting the right letters in the right places comes a lot easier than it does for others.

🧠 Final Solve
The final answer was a 13-letter anagram that solved into a 7 + 4 + “2” layout. Our Hump-Day offering sure taught me a lesson. This was the first time in a while that I was honestly at a loss for words after reading the sentence and seeing the cartoon. My saving grace was the letter P in the layout, and once it clicked that the little girl was asking how a word was SPELLED, everything finally started falling into place. After pulling out SPELL, the word WITH became obvious, and the quoted “E’S” ending turned into a brilliant finish that I never saw coming. If today’s puzzle slowed you down, our nudges were the dialogue of the girl asking how a word was SPELLED and the other student’s response indicating that it should have come with EASE. My favorite solve so far for the month of May!
