🥒 NET-WORKING

Today’s cartoon drops us onto a pickleball court where the first letter of the alphabet is absolutely on point. Its shots are landing, rallies are under control, and the timing is locked in perfectly. His opponent is having trouble keeping up and can’t help but take notice, as it becomes clear all that practice is finally paying off. When your serves land and your touch stays hot, you know you brought something extra special to the court.

➤ THE FINISH

The A has a paddle in its right hand and has already made contact, sending the ball out of reach of B.

➤ THE LOOK

The A is wearing a headband with scruffy hair sticking out around it. The B is wide-eyed as it lunges for a ball already out of reach.

➤ THE OTHER COURT

On the opposite side, the P is wearing sport-style glasses and stands further back on the court.

🧠 Final Solve

The final answer was an 8-letter anagram that would solve into a 3 + 1 + 4 layout. This was a blind solve for me. Noticing the letter A before starting, my first thought was HIS A GAME. It didn’t take long to find ITS for the finish. If you dropped the ball today, our nudges were the first letter of the alphabet spelled out in the cartoon sentence, along with the visual of the A absolutely crushing the match.
