The final answer was an 11-letter anagram that solved into a 4 + 7 layout. Nothing jumped out at the start, so my best move was to look for anything tied to numbers. COUNT started to show itself after a minute, and with those letters removed, MEAT came into focus next, leaving -ER to be tacked on for the finish. If this one took a little longer than usual, our nudges were all the meats up for sale at the counter, as well as the back-and-forth about keeping track of the lamb inventory with the abacus.
