Metamor-For-Us

Today’s cartoon brings us inside a classroom where we see a group of students gathered around a terrarium. The teacher stands beside it holding a cocoon in her hand as the kids lean in to examine it with curiosity and disbelief. You can see the entire metamorphosis cycle taking place inside the enclosure, from a cocoon hanging on a branch to fresh wings being flexed for the very first time. Everything in the tank is unfolding exactly the way Mother Nature intended.

Cocoon With a View

➤ The terrarium top is fitted with a grill style cover, the branch inside holds a single cocoon, and the two butterflies on opposite sides are already starting to flutter with action lines around their wings. On the floor of the tank is a V-shaped piece of wood with a hatched cocoon resting beside it.

Silk Supply Chain

➤ The teacher is holding another cocoon in her left hand while wearing a silk scarf around her neck.

Wonder Locked

➤ The kids’ eyes are huge as they take it all in, and the boy looking at the tank from the side is so locked in on one of the butterflies that pointing is the only thing he can manage.

Final Solve

The final answer was an anagram consisting of twelve letters that would transform into a layout of 6 + 2 + 4. The layout kept the answer well hidden, and the three S’s grouped together in the middle added even more to the challenge. The dialogue is what tipped it for me today. The teacher pointing out that the cocoon was the same thing she had around her neck gave me SILK, and from there the rest of the phrase floated into place without a snag.

National Noodle Ring Day — National Noodle Ring Day gives a small nod to one of the older comfort dishes out there. A noodle ring is a baked mix of noodles, eggs, and cheese that sets into a round shape and is usually served with something placed in the center. It is the kind of recipe you see in vintage cookbooks and pantry meals that never fully disappeared. SOURCE

Ghost Lucky Charms — This release keeps the classic Lucky Charms base but swaps in ghost-shaped marshmallows that glow bright green in milk. It’s mostly the same flavor people know, but the novelty shapes and the color shift are what make the box move. General Mills is pushing it as a limited seasonal drop, and collectors who chase special-edition cereal boxes are already grabbing multiples.

Planet Oat × Emily in Paris Coffee Creamer Collab — This limited edition Caramel Crème Brûlée creamer leans into the Paris theme from the hit show and gives you a sweeter, dessert-style coffee without feeling heavy. It aims for that toasted sugar custard flavor you get in a real crème brûlée, which is why people who like a richer morning coffee are paying attention to this one.

PB&J Popcorn — Smucker’s and Jif built this one with a peanut butter glaze that stays crisp and a strawberry coating that hits quick without turning the popcorn soggy. It’s meant to taste like the classic sandwich but still eat like a snack, and early testers say it does exactly that. It’s not overly sweet, and the peanut butter carries the bite.
