Welcome Back,

Puzzle Players!
RACK and Roll
Today’s cartoon brings us to a forest opening where a moose is catching up with his cousins. One’s a young buck, the other a doe, and they’re both curious about how antler shedding works. The moose keeps it light, acknowledging the question more than answering it as he mentions he’s got to get moving. It’s clear he enjoys their company, but he won’t be hanging around all afternoon.

DOE YOU EVEN LIFT?

➤ The moose towers over his two smaller cousins, a hollowed log sits between them, and a forest full of trees fills the background.

Final Solve

The final answer was a 12-letter anagram that would solve into a 3 + 2 + 7 layout. The quotations around the last word meant punny wordplay would be our challenge. The cartoon dialogue gave me “HAD TO” right away. The rest wasn’t obvious at first, but the letters spelled out MOOSE. Once that was pulled out, VA dropped in easily to complete it. The length looked intimidating at first, but it cleaned up quick once the pieces started falling into place.

🍰 Food Holidays – November 29 🍘

National Lemon Crème Pie Day — Lemon crème pie gets its spotlight today, and it is easy to see why. The filling is bright and smooth, built from lemon juice, sugar, and egg yolks, then folded into a custard that hits that sweet tart balance just right. Most versions finish with a soft layer of whipped cream, which cuts the sharpness and keeps it refreshing. If you like desserts that wake up your palate, this one does the job. SOURCE

National Rice Cake Day — Rice cakes are simple by design. They started as a quick way to use puffed rice, but they stuck around because they are light, durable, and work with almost anything you put on top. People use them for snacks, breakfasts, and even post workout bites because they never feel heavy. Today is just a nod to the folks who like a clean, easy base that gets out of the way. SOURCE

🥄 Viral Recipe — Cookie Croissant

Cookie Croissant

This twist works because the laminated dough gives you the lift while the cookie layer melts into a crisp shell that stays sweet without turning heavy. It bakes fast, holds its shape, and gives you that soft center with a clean break on the outside. It is an easy upgrade if you like a croissant that feels a little richer without losing the flake.
