🎶Is this the little girl I carried…is this the little boy at play…🎶…”Sunrise, Sunset” – Mr Perry Como 1968 https://tinyurl.com/yn3setvm
🎁Today we have Kathy, Jeff’s lovely bride, and their children, Cam and Sydney, looking through a picture album from years ago. And with our question giving us “old” = PAST, “Christmas” = DAY and “gifts” = PRESENTs,…and all our dialogue being of PAST tense…while in the PRESENT…we have ourselves another easy, breezy solve…They’re speaking of a …PAST PRESENT DAY…🎁
So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and here’s to enjoying your Christmas Eve…🎁🙋🏻♀️
And a Shout Out 🗣️to David. All new anagrams today 🔠🙋🏻♀️

🍩☕️TOASTY warm, with hot chocolate and a SNACK of donuts, every ZIPPER pulled up tightly around each neck, and a fire going, they were trying to come up with an ADAGE that would describe that happy PAST PRESENT DAY…☕️🍩
💲An idiom, an ADAGE, ‘bout being TOASTY warm, Crossed their minds as they sat working…while waiting out the storm… A SNACK or two beside them…ZIPPERs sewn all on display… They hope to earn the money they spent that PAST PRESENT DAY…💲
Not a taco for this Tuesday ! The anagrams were half of a SNACK , not a full one ! And as I opened the ZIPPER , the ADAGE was TOASTY ! Now the jumble was very meaningful , but not used a lot ! So I was left in the PAST ! Just one of those nights that didn’t come right out ! So I will really try to have just a small hump to get over tomorrow’s Wednesday jumble ! Your post Angela , was very explanatory and I should’ve seen it ! But as always, your song choice with Perry Como helped it ! So everyone have a great Christmas Eve and no hump to get over Christmas !!!!

Good morning. No trouble with the words but I guess the maple syrup I had with my pancakes clouded my brain. All I had was the first word. Enjoyed your song choice Angela. Today is our big day. There is going to be close to twenty family members tonight opening our gifts and playing that steal a gift. Not sure we can make midnight mass or go in the morning. Have a great day and until tomorrow take care.

Another fun Jumble today. The anagrams were all there for me. It took a little while to come up with the solve as I was a little distracted by pre-holiday stuff. Thank you for the beautiful song by Perry Como Angela. Have a great day. Thanks, Stan

Today’s Jumble was certainly a gift with no problems for this old one. Even the puzzle solve jumped right out at me. Now to SNACK on a TOASTY bagel, pull up my jacket ZIPPER and adhere to the ADAGE: You’re only as old as you feel. This Christmas Eve, I am feeling young indeed. Happy Holidays!

PAST PRESENT DAY mixes up the tenses. How about Past Future Day? This leaves this Jumble subject to alternative solutions, and one of these is PAST SERPENT DAY, in as much as the coming year, 2025, is indeed the Year of the Serpent, or Snake. Therefore these pictures come from a Year of the Serpent. That can’t be next year, because they are talking about pictures from the past. Since the animals repeat every 12 years, that means that these pictures come from 12 years before, in the year 2013. That year does seem a long time ago. Of course the pictures could have come from 2001, 1989, 1977…
If your paper’s Jumble doesn’t talk about photos, it is possible you are looking at the Jumble for tomorrow, Christmas Day. Many papers don’t publish on Christmas Day, and the Richmond Times-Dispatch is one of them. So they publish Christmas Day’s Jumble on Christmas Eve. Be sure you are doing Christmas Eve Jumble. Look for the date, 12/24 in the cartoon.

Oh how those memories last
Those days of Christmases past
The excitement, the fun,
It was second to none
And can never be surpassed!
When our sons were six we spent Christmas week in Florida. We all enjoyed it greatly but the following year, just after school start in September, as I was musing as to whether we should spend Christmas in Florida again, the boys came to me with tears in their eyes – “Please Mom, don’t make us go to Florida again. We love Christmas at home!” So I took the hint and we never made them spend Christmas in Florida again!
