  1. Good Morning, Everyone …🐦‍⬛ POETRY…IN POTION! 🐦‍⬛

🎶 BLACKBIRD singing in the dead of night…Take these broken wings and learn to fly…All your life you were only waiting for this moment to arise…🎶 “Blackbird” – The Beatles 1968 http://tinyurl.com/3ywz46j2

    🐦‍⬛With “The Raven”…a TOTAL success,
You’d think Poe would feel somewhat less stressed…
    But he didn’t ABATE,
    From a desolate fate…
Although GLADLY his work was received…
‘Twas a PERSON who wrestled with life,
He drank heavily to deal with his strife…
    Visions out of the box…
    Edgar wrestled with lots…
And his outlook was strangely perceived…
Bottom line…Poems and tales…with an oddly strange wit…
Just what lurked within the mind of EDGAR ALLAN “POET”?…🐦‍⬛

“A WEIGH” with words more like it. Heavy, dark…macabre…”The Raven” http://tinyurl.com/3wk5a8x3

So..A puzzle to USHER in the weekend…And I’m trying to decide if I think this one might be a stumper….for whatever RHYME or reason…It was definitely BLACK and white for me, what with our question giving us “The Stylus” …I mean “STYLE used to write “The Raven”” = it’s a POEm, and the author himself, EDGAR ALLAN POE http://tinyurl.com/48s3t4y2 depicted reading said POETry…not to mention the clincher: “The Tell-Tale Heart”, I mean tell-tale part…the four letters in quotes…And even though Poe had written POETry before…this did WORK well for the pun…So I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if everyone gets “The Gold-Bug” …I mean the gold cup today…And to make a long STORY SHORT, it’s “Morella”..ess up in the air…But suffice to say, the solve, EDGAR ALLAN “POET”…is “A Dream” as far as I’m concerned. “For Annie” one else…? IDK…But either way, “Never Bet The Devil Your Head”…In other WORDS…”The Bells” might not be ringing for you today, but don’t sell yourself SHORT… there’s always a chance for a “Song of Triumph” tomorrow…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And I remember when I first read Poe…(at what turned out to be too young an age)…I was thinking…”This guy is stark RAVEN mad”…and came to see that he was POEtentially one of the darkest minds in literature….After that? “Nevermore” for me…🐦‍⬛🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🤷🏻‍♂️EDGAR ALLAN POE was a PERSON who wasn’t one to allow his demons to ABATE easily, nor was he one to GLADLY welcome outsiders…at times, a TOTAL enigma…🤷🏻‍♂️

📚 If one GLADLY reads the macabre, with immersion that is TOTAL,
And enjoys the fright that comes with it…that can leave one immobile…
That PERSON probably won’t ABATE his lure to it…and so…
He’s most likely easily drawn to EDGAR ALLAN POE… 📚

  4. TGIF ! What a fun jumble week ! Now today was a little tough ! I’m really disappointed in myself on only one anagram ! That one was PERSON ! I can’t believe I didn’t see that ! Oh well that happens ! The jumble was fun , but I had to look up the rest after I saw POET ! I should’ve remembered that EDGAR ALLEN POE wrote that poem ! I just forgot ! It shouldn’t have been such a chore ! Quote the raven never more ! I loved it ! It was fun , I just needed to think harder ! And Angela , I’ve said this a few times before that the Beatles are my top favorites , and your song choice is one I love ! What a great end of the work week Friday ! Everyone have a good start to the weekend !!!!

  5. Clever and cryptic puzzle for this TGIF. Had no clue to get started….so unscrambled anagrams quickly….and still had no clue. Okay, enough of that, tried taking POET out of the letter lineup, though couldn’t see why that would be in quotation marks. Then, looked at other letters again and saw the cryptic solution. Very well done. Have a great Friday and see you tomorrow. Terry

  6. Such an awesome jumble today …. once I found POET, it all fell into place.

  7. Was it the poet’s greatest score
To greater heights could he soar
    Would he write anything better,
    He, master of the letter
Or was it a case of no never no more!

    • Just want to let you know that besides reading Angela every day I look forward to your post. The other day you had me laughing at your wit. Take care.

      • Thank you very much Paul. I appreciate the compliment. My family think I’m a bit nuts with all my corny rhymes but I come by it honestly. Going to school in Scotland I was greatly influenced by the works of Robert Burns and his ability to sum up a situation in such a pithy way.

  8. Good morning. The first three words took seconds to get. No thinking involved. Person was scrambled real good that it took some time for me to get. The cartoon answer had me stumped. I don’t ever remember reading The Raven and forgot who wrote it until I saw his name. Shame on me. In my defense I’ll blame it on old age. You can get away with it nowadays. Until tomorrow take care.

    • LOL! Good Morning, Paul. Today you gave me the chuckle! 😂 Yes, the key was realizing it was Edgar Allan POE…Take care 🐦‍⬛ 🙋🏻‍♀️

    • I’ve blamed myself for that reason in many a circumstances , but what keeps me going are these jumbles and all the jumble family ! Have a good day !

  9. My 2024 slump continues. I had the anagrams and poet as the last cartoon word, but didn’t have a clue as far as the first 2 words of the solution. Yuck as in Chuck.

    • One more comment.I was familiar with Edgar Allan Poe from HS literature class , but being a math major, English literature was my least favorite subject.Chuck.

  10. The words were easy, although PERSON took a little effort. For the answer, I was looking for something related to being a wordsmith rather than his name. I took a break to go grocery shopping, and when I came back, it occurred to me that it might be a play on his name. Nice workout.
