And as for the dejected look on the losing Fennel goalkeeper? …Not ANISE one at all…

This was a no-hump Wednesday ! The anagrams were all good , except I had a little trouble with FENNEL , so I had to look , but the rest were all good ! Now the jumble with the old saying gave me a clue and the quotation marks , I knew that the victory was a winner and WON AND (THE) SAME , came right to me !
