  1. Good Morning, Everyone…✈️ AERO..MILE…I MEAN PHILE ✈️

    🎶 BLACKBIRD, FLY..,, blackbird fly…Into the light of a dark black night…🎶..”Blackbird” – The Beatles 1968 https://tinyurl.com/594aawfe

✈️The definition of our solve…an idiom at play,
Of course we have a pun thrown in..so the quotations say….
We’re on a flight to Tokyo, no need to FIXATE though,
Our solve is letting us know it’s the quickest route to go…
The VISUAL is showing food…more than a SNACK for sure,
It looks like a full dinner plate…from the menu du jour…
That leaves me WIPER..truth be told…I gave it 3-4 tries..
It doesn’t fit…I’m done here now…as far AS THE “CREW” FLIES…✈️

Today’s solve…a play on the idiom, AS THE CROW FLIES… https://tinyurl.com/5n8fpdzx … And I took the DIRECT ROUTE.. as did our CREW, to the destination…With the leading nature of our question, giving us the mileage = the DIRECT ROUTE…it spelt out, no pun intended, exactly which DIRECTION to take with this…And the dialogue of both our FLIGHT Attendants = the CREW, who FLIES…sets us up for a safe LANDING…The distance between NYC and Tokyo? 6,739 miles…AS THE “CREW” FLIES

Jeff’s Gems? There’s the atmoSPHERE through what seems to be a window, take HEAD, I mean heed of the neck pillow our passenger’s making use of…but…DIS TANCE it home for me…The in-flight movie? Look closely… we just saw it in Sunday’s puzzle… https://tinyurl.com/mr3h8wdf and originally last year.. https://tinyurl.com/444maykv …Jumble – The Movie…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind…and stay safe out there…✈️🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤷🏻‍♂️ While preparing himself a SNACK, he began to FIXATE on how much mileage he could still get out of his windshield WIPER…although being honest, the VISUAL wasn’t all the great…so he decided he probably should get on it…the repair shop being only about a mile away …AS THE CROW FLIES…🤷🏻‍♂️

🪣 A window WIPER job he held, he had no fear of heights,
    He had a SNACK for doing it…oops… knack’s the word that’s right…
The VISUAL from way up high amazed him day by day,
    He’d FIXATE on a scene or two…but time’d then slip away…
Not one to cut a corner…strict work ethics he applies…
Meticulous. he’s not into…working AS THE CROW FLIES…🪣

  3. Major hump-day Wednesday ! All the anagrams were there ! The jumble had me grounded ! I pulled out Fare , Less , but to no avail ! I hope everyone flies with it ! The one thing that gave me some satisfaction was your song by the Beatles ! Everyone have a great big hump-day Wednesday for me !!!!!

  4. Am very surprised my thinking cap has let me down during some very simple solves…Like today, first thing I said was AS THE CROW FLIES…and knew I needed a substitute word for CROW, but didn’t think outside the box for a one letter change !! OMG. Anyway, FYI…read that Connections is now giving hints..I think it sometimes a little too complex. Are you still acing it every day, Angela. Enjoy the Hump Day !!! tcapps

    • Hi Terry. I’ve been so crazy busy that I haven’t gotten to a lot of my daily puzzles. Last Connections I did still had me seeing success. I’m curious about the hints. I’m going to try to get to it today. ✈️🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. Good morning. Simple one this morning. Breezed through the words and the cartoon answer. I just had to substitute the”o” for an “e” when checking on my blind solve. Should have realized it was in quotations. Until tomorrow take care.

    • Good Morning, Paul. Seems like Terry did the same. That one little letter, right? Enjoy your day…Take care…✈️🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. After a pause on fixate, looking like tax something, having all the letters, the solution looked like, As the crow flies, but lacking the ‘O’ and seeing the quotes around the 4 letter word, As the ‘crew’ flies was the obvious solution!Everyone have a great Hump Day!
    Chuck.

  7. I too first thought of “As the Crow Flies” but with the quotes realized the play on words and arrived at “crew”. Happy Wednesday all! Betty
