  1. Good Morning, Everyone… 🪢 THE HEIGHT SEAS! 🪢

🎶 The PROBLEM now of COURSE is to simply hold your horses…To rush would be a crime…’Cause nice and EASY does it every time…🎶 …”Nice ‘n’ Easy” – Mr Frank Sinatra (original recording) 1960 https://tinyurl.com/mtr6vdax

🪢 The Captain needed to INFORM them ‘bout measurements and such,
The AROMA of the sea wafting…so close you feel it’s touch…
No one was feeling BITTER…but then SHYLY one admits,
He didn’t quite catch on at first…but now he’s gotten it
It’s the diagram that did it…six feet tall is said Adam…
And once the captain mentioned it? It’s EASY TO FATHOM! 🪢

Love these puzzles with the play on double meanings…So EASY to solve!

Once again today, I’ll make EASY work of this…
FATHOM: Noun and verb…= https://tinyurl.com/296krwbx .. And when Adam finally UNDERSTOOD = FATHOM…about the LENGTH = FATHOM?…It was EASY to SEA our solve…It’s…EASY TO FATHOM!

…And you gotta love the DEPTHs Jeff’s gone to in his cartoon…showing the graph, Jonathan Seagull…and of COURSE that Sinking Sailboat…And last BOAT NAUT least, note how he’s TIED it all up with what Adam’s PERCHed on…KNOT the usual SEAt…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And I hope you all refused to reLENGHT…and had an EASY time getting to the BOAT-tom of today’s puzzle! 🪢🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🤦🏻‍♀️She SHYLY tried to INFORM them that despite the savory AROMA, it was going to be EASY TO FATHOM why the taste was BITTER…🤦🏻‍♀️

🤷🏻‍♂️ He was forever BITTER, ‘twas no need to INFORM,
Since “SHYLY” not in his wheelhouse…he never did conform…
Discontent was the AROMA…in the air with such a hum…
His stance…it never wavered…he was EASY TO FATHOM…🤷🏻‍♂️

  4. This is Jim and I’m a little of trying to get over this hump-day Wednesday ! I had smooth anagrams , but when I came to the jumble , it was six feet under and I couldn’t get it ! Not an easy one today ! Makes me thirsty for Thursdays jumble ! Everyone have a get over the hump-day Wednesday !!

  5. I first came up with the answer HARD TO FATHOM, since fathom is a rather obscure unit of length. But the circled letters contained no S. I still felt that FATHOM was part of the answer, since a fathom is 6 feet. I excluded its letters, and came up with EASY TO FATHOM. But I still think it’s hard to fathom, since the fathom is rarely used and used mainly in maritime situations. One would say that the water is 5 fathoms deep, but hardly anyone would say that Stevie Wonder is 1 fathom tall.

By the way, my newspaper posted this in a little square on the front page: “Because of a production error, the Food section was published in Tuesday’s Times-Dispatch. The Living section, which normally appears on Tuesdays, is included in today’s edition. We apologize for the mistake.” So apparently they not only got the Jumbles jumbled up, but they messed up an entire section of their newspaper. The Jumble with an answer of “SHEAR DELIGHT” appeared in today’s RTD.

    • It’s amazing that not only didn’t the person responsible for posting the newspaper check their work, but nobody else checks it either.

  6. Coming into this a little bit late this morning….Just have to comment on one thing. The whole point of the puzzle was that this length was “EASY TO UNDERSTAND…Not HARD TO UNDERSTAND. I’ll get off my soap box now. It was a blind solve Hump Day and as always, enjoyed Angela’s musings…and her Sinatra song choice. We’re halfway thru the week…and always hoping for cooler temps.

  7. Good morning. At first the words looked difficult but then I took a minute to relax and then when I went back to them everything was easy for me as was the cartoon answer once I picked up the hint regarding Fathom in the twelve letters for the answer. Loved your song choice Angela. Until tomorrow take care.
