    🦞On any given day you’ll see him FAIRLY doling out,
    Fresh lobster to the many Folks who’d congregate about…
    A JOYOUS man who could DIVERT you from the daily grind,
    A smile at the ready…and always the scent of brine…
    You’ll hear the tiny SHRILL sound…the squeal the lobsters make,
    Sometimes see little GRAVEL left within the lobster’s wake…
    You wouldn’t CHANGE a thing here…you’re just thinking ‘bout the dish…

    Phew! I definitely need to CATCH my breath after pulling off that rhyme!
    For SHORE there was a HAUL lot of back and forth COMING UP with a LINE here and there…Did I feel TRAPPED? …No, of course not…but I TAIL you…it was no picnic…

    Anyway…First let’s WEIGH in on food allergies. So many people are ALLERGIC to SHELLFISH. https://tinyurl.com/yvf2xffr … I had a BUTTER HALF once who was. He was a SHELL of a guy, but I had to WAVE off cooking a lot of dishes because of his allergies. It definitely CRAMPed my style, and ended up putting some PIER pressure on the relationship, for SHORE. But, SEA la vie…all WATER under the bridge now…

    So…Today…It’s LOBSTER https://tinyurl.com/5647vde8 on the menu, as the MAINE course. And we meet a SEASONED Lobsterman, affectionately known as CLAW Daddy. Having just come in with his latest haul, he’s seen SHELLing out lobster like there’s no tomorrow…Thing is, with him, there always is…He goes out in his boat, the ROCK LOBSTER, every morning, way before some of us have even had our morning CLAWFEE, and comes back STUFFED to the gills….pun intended…And what does he do? He shares from the HAUL thing…out of the goodness of his heart…CRAY-SEA some might say…but it just goes to SHORE you that there’s still a lot of good people out there…And our dialogue today? TOO KIND, SHARING, GENEROUS? SERVED up with our question…GAVE AWAY HALF? And of course let’s not disCOUNT those tell-TAIL quotation marks….BOTTOM line? This one’s a SNAP…’Cause it’s easy to SEA that old CLAW Daddy isn’t SELFISH with his SHELLFISH…He definitely HARBORs an aversion = ALLERGY https://tinyurl.com/d9sh65mh for keeping it HAUL for himself…He’s ALLERGIC TO “SELFISH”!     …And speaking of…He’s the gentleman GRACIOUSLY drawn by Jeff today. And we also have his lovely CATCH, Claire at front. The other woman? I can’t TAIL..And we SEA a land marker, lush fir trees, what appear to be buoys in the water…and what might be a sailboat off to the left…not sinking though…it’ll never CATCH on…

    So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and I’m glad I’m not like the friend I mentioned earlier. Poor guy…just couldn’t eat shrimp, lobsters, or crabs that had been cooked in heated water vapor…He definitely has SHELLFISH STEAMED issues…🦞 🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🦀 ALLERGIC TO SHELLFISH, her voice suddenly made a CHANGE from sounding like GRAVEL, to a SHRILL tone…and she was so JOYOUS when she was able to FAIRLY DIVERT the attention away from herself… 🦀

    ❤️A voice that never did grow SHRILL, a kind heart always open,
    A sound he’d make…tad GRAVEL-like from many years of smokin’…
    Always JOYOUS, the Janitor would DIVERT blues du jour,
    You’d never see a CHANGE in him as you’d walk through the door
    It’s FAIRLY certain he said more with just his grin so elfish…
    We’d share lunch…‘cept for lobster…he was ALLERGIC TO SHELLFISH! ❤️

  6. A total wipeout for today’s JUMBLE…although I did unscramble the anagrams okay. After looking at the answer, I thought I just might have had the smarts to find SHELLFISH/SELFISH in the letters…but ALLERGIC?? Way to cryptic for me.   7. Hi All – This one took me a very long time. I thought of Selfish and To but almost gave up trying to unscramble Allergic. I didn’t think of the Shellfish pun. Instead I was looking for an answer such as he was reluctant to Sell Fish. Enjoyed your many sea puns today, Angela.

  8. No way could I solve the cartoon with the multitude of letters and the second word in quotes no less! At least it’s a Sunday day of rest!

    • I agree. I thought that only a play on words was used in quotations in the Jumble. Now I’ll start taking into consideration that an actual real word will be used in quotations too

      • Well considering that it’s a play on words for Shellfish, it’s pretty much the same line of thinking. And the dialogue did go heavy on the man being very giving…🦞🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. Definitely a thinking 🧢 cap kind of day. Had to resort to paper and pencil but I did get the cartoon answer. I too was looking for shellfish but finally arrived at selfish and then allergic was left. Good mental workout today.

  10. Good afternoon. Short and simple. Got the words , no problem but failed on the cartoon answer. Never heard that song before Angela and I loved it. Enjoy his singing. Until tomorrow take care.
