    🐕 A RURAL base for canines, and a MINION who’s called out,
    Seems an ENCORE performance…with the way the Sergeant shouts…
    No sooner did they HOIST the flag…he’s “barking” at his men,
    Seems kibble’s got him fired up…and it begins again…
    He’s made these poor dogs nervous wrecks…a crew of total worriers,
    These Jack Russells who signed up to be the first “MILI-TERRIERS”!🐕

    Ok…So this one started off with the Early Birds having a bit of a problem unLEASHing the word RURAL. Surprising, really, since it’s hardly new to the Jumble. It goes back for years…And yet here they were, unable to SPOT it, BARKING up the wrong tree… I was like…”K…NINE of you, and only FLEA, I mean three of you are getting this”? “FUR Pete’s sake…what’s PUP with you guys this morning”?…Yet here they were, SCRATCHING their heads…But, as usual, ENLISTING the help of one another, they finally all BIT…Always a case of grin and BARRACK with these guys…

    …Anyway, with a puzzle about canines just two days ago, I hate to sound PETty, but one has to wonder…is the Jumble going to the DOGS? https://tinyurl.com/3s7mhap9 …AR ME…I hope not…

    So,..Today, a TAIL of anthropomorphic Jack Russell Terriers https://tinyurl.com/2pvad3s9 enduring Basic TRAINING at Camp POOCH. https://tinyurl.com/4wxtamx2 Staten Island, NY. And we’re witnessing a PAWS in the morning’s inspection as Sergeant BARKley takes a BITE out of Pvt. Rex, a South PAW, for having dribbled a BIT of Kibble…And…as the other recruits – left to right – (look closely), according to their DOG Tags: Tweedy, Fido, and Cash look on PETting, I mean fretting, the poor underDOG, Rex, is being ordered to perform 20 roll-overs. 20! That’s RUFF! …What a HEEL this guy BARKley is…constantly HOUNDing these poor enlistFLEAS…Always having a BONE to pick…FETCHING, I mean kvetching all the time…It’s a regular reign of TERRIER!… But they did sign up to be “MILI-TERRIERS” https://tinyurl.com/32nuhkmd so DOG-gone it, I guess they’ll all just have to BITE the bullet and WALK the line…

    Jeff’s Gems…Besides the hilarious, so aproPAWS DOG tags, the barracks are DOG houses, a Fire Hydrant PEEks out from the corner, and the emblem on BARKley’s Drill Sergeant hat is a PAW print…As I live and BREED, Jeff never LEASHES to amaze me!

    So…There you have it, Folks…Done Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe… And I had a great joke about the National Guard and Army Reserves…But I decided against it…Seems it only works on one weekend of the month…🐕🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🎥 There was an ENCORE performance of the movie about the RURAL MINION who was chosen to HOIST the flag at the gathering of the four MILITARIES… 🎥

    🧑🏻‍🌾 In need of a new HOIST, pressing…the RURAL farmers knew,
    An ENCORE situation from the one they’d just gone through…
    One MINION to another, it all added to their worries…
    They wondered if they could get help from local MILITARIES…🧑🏻‍🌾

  4. 🤦🏻‍♂️Up at dawn every day, it’s a chore,
    Part of life when you enter the corps…
    Not much time to relax,
    It’s all down to brass tacks…
    You hear…”Do this…and then there’ll be more”🤦🏻‍♂️

    🐕 We see Rex on the carpet today,
    Seems his kibble has fallen astray…
    He’s ordered to roll over,
    Life just isn’t in clover…
    For the dribbling he’s now forced to pay…🐕

    🗣️ Sgt Barkley is calling the shots,
    To these poor terriers…the have-nots…
    They stand frozen in fear…
    Barkley makes it quite clear…
    He’ll call them out right there on the spot…🗣️

    🤷🏻‍♂️Guess our dogs thought the Army’d be fine,
    For a young and quite eager canine…
    But so far things look bleak,
    Buckley’s got a mean streak…
    And he’s treating them all like they’re swine…🤷🏻‍♂️

    🤦🏻‍♂️Seems our Terriers played the wrong hand,
    Right now life isn’t looking so grand…
    How they’d love to push “paws”,
    And the reason? Because…
    Things are hardly what they all had planned! 🤦🏻‍♂️

  5. Hello Friday ! What a really cool and fun jumble ! The only dark spot that I had to look up was MINION ! I don’t think I’ve ever used that word in my life ! But when the jumble came about dogs , Suzie had owned a kennel so we had fun with this one ! The first word that came out was TERRIER and armed forces was the military , so together it came to us as MILITERRIERS ! What a fun jumble ! And Angela I may not have ever listened to Irving Berlin , but I did today and it was good ! Everyone have a fun Friday !!!!!

  6. Today is a continuation of missed blind solves for the week….am just not up to 100% on thinking outside the box. Saw the TERRIERS but couldn’t find the first word of this very clever puzzle. Always love it when Irving Berlin takes the stage…and I think he did in his Army show…YIP YIP YAP HANK..or something to that effect. Thanks for a great post…and missed you yesterday

  7. Good morning. For me everything was very hard. I finally got all the words after quite sometime. Not one word came automatically, I had to go back over each word until it finally came to me. Then when it came time for the cartoon I had the same problem. I actually came up with Terriers but didn’t connect with the left over LMII. I forgot about the quotation marks. I caved in and looked the answer up. Enjoyed the song video. Brings back boot camp. You got up at 5.00 am and had 15 minutes to get washed and dressed and be out in line. Then we would stand and wait for chow (breakfast) which was like 6.00am. It was always rush and wait. Once you finished boot camp life was pretty good. I look back and remember some good times. You can tell when guys were in the military, they are able to make decisions and take charge if necessary. Enough said. Until tomorrow take care.

  8. Wipeout! I had trouble making out the cartoon picture so was in the dark relative to the dogs in the picture, then being stumped by minion, I was done, thus there goes my winning streak!

  9. Really cute puzzle this morning. I saw terriers right away so that just left mili. Iriving Berlin’s song is a perfect fit. He wrote sooo many good ones. Happy Friday all!
