Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…
🧵A STITCH IN TIME…SAVES DIMES 🧵
…AND SO ON…AND SO ON…Faberge Commercial – 1984
https://tinyurl.com/3xc9hp6k
Their old logo had a HYPHEN, since they used the both full names,
But now MIDST talk of streamlining, they’re changing up the game…
Nothing here they’d see to WHINE about, initials looking good,
(And SAVORY just won’t make the cut…I’d use it if I could)
They went with patches, frugally, weighing the pros and cons…
And simply did a stitch or two…the pun here? AND “SEW” ON!
Patches just SEAMED like the most economical way to go….
So…Today, midst the Early Birds going through the strangest THREAD to get to SAVORY, (for some reason three of them conVInced that the word needed to begin with a “V”), NEEDLING one another and leaving me in STITCHES (since I wasn’t quite THREADy for it all) with their comments, they all agreed, as a TEAM, that the solve was definitely an easy one. With the word “Patches” = they’re SEWN ON, in our question, and our cartoon SEWING, I mean showing the hat having been comPLEATed, the seamstress SEWING the shirts, and her dialogue giving us “jackets NEXT”…plus the THREAD giveaway tell-tale quotation marks…there’s no BOBBIN’ and weavin’, no NEEDLE in a haystack, etc, etc, today, Folks…there’s more than enough MATERIAL here to easily SLIDE into…AND “SEW” ON… https://tinyurl.com/yh6yrtvp…And once again, David, we SINGER praises…
The KNOT in the HOLE thing, though? The logo. Unfortunately for me, the logo was a no go…It looks like TJ to me, but I could be wrong…I thought Tom and Jerry, TJ Hooker…AND SO ON…but I knew I was just swimming upSEAM…I just couldn’t PINpoint what it stands for…And I couldn’t find a STITCH of information onLINE to help…SEW even though I hate to SEAM that I’m SHIRTing my responsibility…I threw in the DOWEL…And BOBbin’s your Uncle, https://tinyurl.com/2x6ss2kv … I guess…so to speak. SEW I suppose there’s no use HEMming and hawing https://tinyurl.com/muyueak4 over it…But I must admit though that I am a little SEWspicuous…because even knowing that Jeff usually follows a set PATTERN, and doesn’t just FABRICate things, he does enjoy NEEDLING us here and there… only today I’m simply not following the THREAD…SEW…whether it’s a bit of pop culture staring me right in the FACING, that I just can’t UNRAVEL, or simply something personal to HEM, he’s the only one who can SEW this up for us…And do I SEAMSTRESSED? No, not really…I just always like to feel that I’ve PATCHED things up for you all…and today I haven’t SEAMed to make it SEW…
SEW…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And I’ll leave you with a little YARN… A strand of yarn walks into a bar and tries to order a drink. The bartender snarls, “We don’t serve your kind here,”…so the yarn’s forced to leave. Sitting outside feeling all alone, he suddenly comes up with a brilliant idea. He ties himself into a knot and unravels the ends. Taking a deep breath, he then boldly walks back into the bar and orders a beer. “Hey”, says the bartender, “Aren’t you that piece of yarn I just threw out of here”? “Nope”, says the yarn…”I’m a frayed knot”… 🎤 🧵🙋🏻♀️
TJ = Today’s Jumble???
You may be right, Dennis..or even just The Jumble…🤷🏻♀️

SDMTI: New anagram
NIWEH: New anagram
NHPEHY: New anagram
ROVAYS: New anagram
🤦🏻♂️In the MIDST of creating a complete new menu of SAVORY offerings, including appetizers, entrees, side dishes, AND SO ON, two of the kitchen staff jokingly began to WHINE that the use of a HYPHEN was being applied to way too many items …🤦🏻♂️
🤷🏻♀️The lesson was the HYPHEN, and MIDST all opinions heard,
The teacher called a “time out” when it came to just those words…
“Not looking to WHINE ‘bout this, but it can be overused,
And things just aren’t SAVORY when hyphens get abused
Creative writing differs…with decisions sometimes drawn…
That it might be a toss-up…inconclusive…AND SO ON”…🤷🏻♀️
It’s Friday and today was fun but a little tough to find SEW and get the Jumble ! The anagrams were all there ! I just couldn’t get past the connection of patches , thinking that they stuck on or ironed on and Sew I didn’t get it ! Oh it was fun and Angela , your joke was one that I told my son years ago and he never forgot it and always reminds me to tell it again to new friends ! So I’m gonna tie this jumble in a knot and fray the top end and the bottom end and tomorrows jumble will not scare me , “ I’m afrayed knot “ ! Everyone have a wonderful day !!!!!!’
Another successful run at the morning Jumble today. Saw the cartoon dialogue…and it ended with a kind of “etc” word needed. So I stumbled upon the answer pretty quickly. Anagrams completed for a nice TGIF home run. Am always looking for jokes to tell the grandkids…and you provided a real winner today. Stay cool and hydrated out there.
LOL! Tks, Terry….🧵🙋🏻♀️
Just received a notification that Tony Bennett passed away. Beautiful voice…beautiful man. RIP, Mr Bennett…God speed, 🎶🙏🏻
Good morning. I was surprised I got the words fairly easy. Hyphen came to me from last the time I struggled with it. No blind solve but once the letters were down it went well. Until tomorrow take care.
The word whine really stumped me : I’ll Be whining about it all day long”It took me at least fifteen minutes to figure it out .
All is good on a Friday to close out the work week. Condolences on the death of the SF man, Tony Bennett! I’m sure he left his heart there!
Todays Jumble was sew easy. Rest in Peace, Mr. Tony Bennett. He certainly put San Francisco on the map in such a good way. One of my friends and her husband were having dinner at the Fairmont Hotel the night he first sang that iconic song.
Yes, it was, Betty, with a sewing machine sitting right there center stage. And speaking of, Tony Bennett on stage was always mesmerizing. He was the consummate entertainer…And such a gentleman and humanitarian…New York and the entire entertainment industry has lost one of the finest…😢
And a nice Italian boy to boot. 🇮🇹
First and foremost… 🇮🇹 🙋🏻♀️
His voice will live on ….. we will miss him.
