TBT? I don’t know what to say…ANT I’m not one to easily be at a loss for words…But just the idea of termites and roaches has me TICK to my stomach…Seriously, it really BUGS me…But I’ll give it my PEST shot…
Today, we find poor DOLORes facing one of her greatest fears…Vermin. EncROACHing into her own home, STRIPPING the place to shreds. And she always sPRAYed something like this WOOD never happen…But here she is, having to deal with Clint EATSWOOD, a termite, and his PAL, METTO, a roach, getting ready to set up a TABLE for two….GNAWing all the while that they look like they intend to STICK around…And to make TATTERS worse, she’s all alone in this, with her husband away at sea…Poor DOLORes…I’m sure she’s dealing with some serious ANCHOR management right about now. She really needs to call HOST Busters…
And as for our two home wreckers…Metto’s face shows the sawdust from the chunk of wood he’s dining on…(and yes, cockroach’s do SAW eat wood) and like the best buddy that he is, he’s brought mint-flavored toothpicks for Clint. Such a TEETH gesture….Oh, and by the way, that right there…David giving us “best buddies”? That gave the HOLE thing away, IMO. They’re PESTS, they’re buddies…they’re “PEST” FRIENDS…And they’re going to DOWN on that wall…

An easy, breezy Monday to start the week, though a blind solve should have been in the works. I should have seen that second word appear…instead of the first word in italics. That said, unscramble anagrams, pulled out FRIENDS, and made the solve.

Here’s Monday ! A new week ! What a funny and fun jumble ! None of the anagrams made me YIELD ! I was in FRONT of all of them ! The SAILOR made them so SPEEDY ! The jumble did not bug me at all ! The cartoon was a little disturbing with the roach ! But the insects have always bugged me ! And they may be PEST FRIENDS , but they can stay away from me ! Very cute and fun jumble ! Angela , your song choice is spot-on ! I always liked that song ! I got a smile from your humor but I’m still shaking my head about the termite and Bartender , not sure I get it , but I always like to read your humor quips ! Prof…Sorry it took me so long. I was somewhere where I couldn’t have a phone. Check today’s puzzle words, because the letters needed for the solve are not the same as what you’ve used. There’s no. B, no U, no 3rd S, no 2nd T… But there are 4 letters needed that you’re not showing. Look it over again…🙋🏻♀️

No worries, it happens. One night I used a word in all 3 write-ups that wasn’t one of the daily four. The only reason I could think of for it happening was because my S O and I were having a conversation and the word I used was one we mentioned a few times, so I guess it stuck in my head.. Luckily someone pointed it out to me in time for me to re-write everything…🤷🏻♀️
