Good Morning, Everyone…🐓 NOW AND HEN 🐓
🎶 Oh, it’s a LONG, LONG WHILE FROM MAY TO DECEMBER…but the days grow short when you reach September…When the Autumn weather turns the leaves to flame…One hasn’t got time for the waiting game…🎶 “ September Song” – Mr Frank Sinatra 1965 https://tinyurl.com/4admx8ub
🐓 Her feathers have a COPPER tinge, just like the family’s KITTEN,
Old Yolko is a favorite hen…the family’s quite smitten…
She’s given them so many eggs throughout the many years,
But now she’s on a PULPIT, so to speak…amidst her peers…
She’s saying that she’s had ENOUGH…it’s time to take a rest,
The SCENIC farm has served her well, but now she’s just hard-pressed…
(IGUANA’s left and all I know is iguana no part,
Of it today, it doesn’t fit…I crossed it off the chart)…
The bottom line we’re looking at…is before she might sicken…
Old Yolko’s done…”laid” down the law…saying “I’m NO SPRING CHICKEN!🐓
So…Today..A Henhouse…And we see YOLKo Ono, EGGatha Christie, and HENnifer Aniston sitting around atop their eggs…(note Yolko’s 1 to the others’ 3)… as Yolko’s heard squawking about all she’s EGGperienced over the years..
…And it’s another puzzle that’s OVER as EASY as can be. Whether you unSCRAMBLED your words or not….FRY as you might, this one SERVED itself SUNNY SIDE UP…”TIRED”, Ready to RETIRE”…”Not getting any YOUNGER”…an AGE-OLD idiom definitely worth it’s SALT…YOLKo was ready to retire because she was NO SPRING CHICKEN… https://tinyurl.com/2s4zzrw7
So…There you have it Folks…WELL DONE. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and for all those who celebrate…the best of Father’s Day wishes…🐓🙋🏻♀️

🤷🏻♂️So far the pets the child asked to bring were an IGUANA, and a COPPER-colored KITTEN and as her Grandfather looked out over the SCENIC view, knowing that he still needed to repair the boat’s PULPIT, let alone tend to pets, he reminded her that he was NO SPRING CHICKEN, and that he felt taking just the two along on their excursion would be ENOUGH…🤷🏻♂️
🤷🏻♂️The KITTEN and IGUANA felt that they both had ENOUGH,
They took to bully PULPIT to show things had gotten rough…
The area was SCENIC, the sun a COPPER hue,
The assignment was to write a tale…and the child tried to do
What was expected of him… but the clock was steady tickin’…
And he hoped he’d get to work in the idiom NO SPRING CHICKEN! 🤷🏻♂️
Good morning to all….anagrams were somewhat of a challenge today, but did manage to solve all. But the cartoon puzzle was a little too cryptic for me, so am ending the week on a somewhat dismal note, after having a good run all week. One highlight is the very apropos Sinatra ballad Angela chose for today. Have a great Father’s Day. Sailing abroad for a few days, so hope the time change doesn’t bother my Jumble solving !!!
Hilited letter for third letter in ‘SCENIC’ was on the ‘E’ but should have been on the ‘C’ so that two ‘C’s would have been hilited –
Anne…Look again. The two C’s needed for the solve are accounted for. One from Scenic and one from Copper. And there has to be an E to spell Chicken. Everything is what it should be…🙋🏻♀️
THank you for the correction!
YW! 🙋🏻♀️
No problems with the anagrams – took me a bit of time to solve the cartoon answer but I did get it. Happy Father’s Day to all the Jumble Dads, Grandads, etc. out there.
PULPIT and COPPER gave some trouble, but I solved them. The answer took a while, and was solved after I saw CHICK, which I then extended to CHICKEN.
Pulpit looked like a misspelled tulip, thus stumping me there, then despite the quotes, I didn’t have a clue on the cartoon solution. A Father’s Day slump. Speaking of Fathers Day, a Happy Father’s Day to all of the Jumble Fathers out there from this old Dad.
Happy Father’s Day ! Todays jumble was down this old dads alley with the hen (not chicken )was ready to retire ! So I smiled and said yep , sometimes I don’t feel like NO SPRING CHICKEN ! But I let the jumble keep me moving ! I plucked the anagrams out ok ! Sunday’s are big with 6 anagrams and a well drawn scratch by Jeff ! So this one was fun and to all you fathers who have grandchildren , bring out the SPRING CHICKEN in us !! Everyone have a great Father’s Day!!!!!!!
