  1. Good Morning, Everyone …🧵🪡THREADING CAREFULLY! 🪡🧵

🎶 I’ll be glad to SIGN MY AUTOGRAPH if you want me to…God knows I love singin’, it’s what I was born to do…🎶 “Singer In A Band” – Mark Wills 2003 https://tinyurl.com/548ajtda

🧵🪡 No, Isaac Singer not the first…were others at the time,
But his idea improved upon “a stitch in time saves nine”…
He had a SENSE that there was room to improve what was there,
His ideal model would PUMMEL through the cotton and mohair…
    Enthusiasm…no ABATE, inventions his forte,
(I’m doing to DISOWN right here…just as its name does say)
The “Turtle Back” came into homes…more money for his till…
His idea now fruition…surely it “SEAMED” POSSIBLE! 🪡🧵

Ok…SEW…Definitely no BOBBIN’ and WEAVIN’ with this one…And no reason for the Early Birds to leave me in STITCHES with the way they NEEDLE one another over who SEWS it all up the fastest…There’s no way David was going to BUTTONHOLE us today…and definitely no reason to STRETCH this one out…we just DARTed right through it…

SEW…Contrary to popular belief, ISAAC SINGER https://tinyurl.com/3x3adszz * didn’t invent the Sewing Machine. But in the 1850’s he did revolutionize it…And showed the world HOWE https://tinyurl.com/3xys23bp by HUNTing https://tinyurl.com/5xk7yvth around for a better way, the machines would be more reliable if the shuttle moved in a STRAIGHT LINE (as seen in the material in our cartoon…where the name SINGER can be read on the machine)…rather than a circle, with a STRAIGHT rather than a curved needle…SEAMS to make sense, right? And then it became POSSIBLE for him to obtain US PATTERN, I mean Patent Number 8294 for his improvement…and eventually found what became the Singer Sewing Machine Company… https://tinyurl.com/ybnev4ba

SEW…SEWING this all up? First of all…there’s quotation MARKs…SEW we already know that we’re FACING a play on a word that has to do with sewing. That’s your under-LINING hint right there. PIN that together with our dialogue? ZIP-PER-de-do-dah…what a wonderful day! Our SEWlutiin? …For Isaac Singer getting into the…business…”SEAMED” POSSIBLE…And I rest my CREASE…I mean case…

Oh…and be sure to notice what’s being sewn on the machine…the matching drapery panel to the one that’s hanging in the window…You know how Jeff always manages to TIE it all BACK together…

So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and just as a side note, not that it’s germane to our puzzle, but I thought I’d mention the fact that our man of the power today fathered 26 children. 26! And I‘ve such a wonderful joke at the tip of my tongue that I think would leave you in STITCHES…but no LISLE, I’ve been HEMmin’ and hawin’, SEWL-searching over whether or not it might SEAM a little too inappropriate for this THREAD,. I’d hate to have anyone try to NEEDLE me, or go KNIT-picking over my writing. And I am BIASed when it comes to my MATERIAL…So, I’ve decided to purSEW another LINE OF CLOSURE…Two sewing machines walk into a bar to audition for amateur night. The manager looks at one, feels he SEAMS familiar, and asks…”Hey, are you a SINGER”? “No, he answers…Why, JANOME”? 🪡🧵🙋🏻‍♀️

    * A very good read…

    • I forgot to give you props with your song choice Angela. First time hearing him and I enjoyed his singing. Take care.

      • Good Morning, Paul. Tk you…happy you liked it. Take care. 🧵🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🌊 It made SENSE, and SEEMED POSSIBLE at first, that as long as they could get the waters to ABATE, and not PUMMEL so strongly against the dock, that they wouldn’t be forced to DISOWN the boat…for lack of a better word…🌊

🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♂️They threatened to DISOWN him, he had no SENSE of shame,
His wanton acts proved more and more he forgets whence he came…
He showed no sign that he’d ABATE behavior so appalling,
The constant want to PUMMEL blokes..always the one for brawling
His parents reached a breaking point…their cups long ago full…
And now what they hoped to avoid sadly SEEMED POSSIBLE…🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♀️

  4. Good morning. Not much trouble with the words but when I put all those letters down and seeing the first word in quotations, and having no words rattling around in my head, I took the easy way out and went for the answer. Now seeing the answer I see it was possible for me to get (looks easy enough) but I’m happy at all the time I saved not trying. Until tomorrow take care.

    • Good Morning, Paul. Yes, I too think it’s POSSIBLE you would have gotten it! 🧵🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. Thought disown was wisdom, then spelled the first word in the cartoon solution as seemed rather than ‘seamed’ thus having the wrong letters available for the second word was totally stumped by the ‘possible’ solution.

  6. It’s Friday , and we just got home from a week vacation in Florida ! Today’s anagrams were ok except for PUMMEL , I had to DISOWN it and this one too ! The jumble , I saw SEAMED , but i I couldn’t stitch POSSIBLE together ! But I think I was tired and need to rest ! Sew bring it on tomorrow Saturday! Everyone have a good day !!!

  7. I too have been stumped by disown in the past but got it today. Though I had to get out my pencil and paper was able to figure out the cartoon answer – clever puzzle. Great analyses as always, Miss Angela. Happy Friday all!

    • Thank you, Miss Betty. I thought this to be a very clever one too! Happy Friday! 🧵🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Just doing an afternoon email check…to find out my little post went unpublished. Anyway, like others, ran into a brick wall with puzzle cartoon…but had the anagrams figured out. Oh yes, was sorry risque joke wasn’t available..but understand in a family newsblog….but had to look up JANOME anyway (for the other joke) cause had not heard of that brand. Have a great TGIF

    • Terry…Nothing came through earlier, I just checked…And your name? Alter ego?😉Ironically…are you asking…JANOME? 😂 Wishing you a great Friday too! 🧵🙋🏻‍♀️
