  1. Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…

💾 YEP, THAT GREEN & BLACK SCREEN, KIDS…IT WAS REEL! 💾

    🎶 IT’S IMPOSSIBLE…tell the sun to leave the sky, it’s just IMPOSSIBLE…🎶 “It’s Impossible” – Mr Perry Como 1970 https://tinyurl.com/y4evyn3w

💾 Technology has definitely come a long way since the past,
There’s such ACUTE awareness that the old ways never last…
We see BARON just imagining what now proves to be true,
And Earl sits at his keyboard saying…”Sure…dream on anew”…
Talk a PILEUP of floppies …he’d be busy as a bee…
(And that Folks is how we use what’s known as a SIMILE)!
But then was then and now is now…and today there’s no trick…
We’re doing things that at one time? For sure UN-“REEL”-ISTIC! 💾

The calendar on the desk at Earl’s left reads April 1982. And the KEY to our puzzle today is staring us right in the face. On that monstrosity of a set-up that was commonplace 41 years ago? The two huge REELS… And between Baron’s dialogue..”Just THINK IF”, Earl’s…”YEAH RIGHT…(incredulousness)…it would take 100 floppies”, https://tinyurl.com/3f2x5pzs …and the very leading nature of our question…”the past…WOULD HAVE seemed”…all POINTing the way to what definitely ISN’T? The idea of streaming https://tinyurl.com/yc8cbdpb a movie digitally back then?… Totally UN-“REEL”-ISTIC! https://tinyurl.com/2p8vj869 And we’ve taken a BYTE out of another one, and LANded all the DATA we need to PROCESS another clever solve… REELed it in with ease…with no kind of DOWNLOAD…I mean down-low involved! Definitely all above BOARD!

So…There you have it Folks…Done! Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And in hindSITE, maybe I should have gone with a song from A DELL…but I guess for a moment there I had a BIT of MEMORY loss…💾🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤷🏻‍♂️They felt it was terribly UNREALISTIC that the BARON was known by the SIMILE “cool as a cucumber”, since his reaction to the PILEUP on the highway proved him to be an ACUTE embarrassment to the Royal Family…🤷🏻‍♂️

🤦🏻‍♀️ The spelling words they were assigned: PILEUP, ACUTE and BARON,
Posed no problem for Russell…but they took a toll on Karen…
And when asked for a SIMILE, she really felt confused,
(Notice what I accomplished here…long as the words were used…
I tried a different way to help me keep this quite simplistic…
    ‘Cause trying to meld these 4 words?…Trust me…UNREALISTIC)! 🤦🏻‍♀️

  3. Didn’t ride a very successful jumble wagon today ! I got all the anagrams except PILEUP on me ! The jumble was tricky for REEL ! So today , not a good movie ! I hope tomorrow I can cap the week with an exciting , fun , and entertaining Saturday jumble ! I think when Friday comes , my brain is rolling it’s eyes , saying Notta Gonna get it ! Oh well , come on Saturday ! Everyone have a great Friday today !!!!!

  4. Like Jim, I was also a rider on the unsuccessful Jumble train this morning. Don’t know exactly where I stumbled first, but there were several places. Anagrams seemed especially difficult today…even BARON didn’t look right. Figured out PILEUP, but wondered if that was one or two words. Missed the big clue…REEL and didn’t give it any particular significance. Looking back…it all looks relatively easy, but as I said the other day, sometimes my Jumble solving goes from the wings of victory to the depths of bitter defeat. There are better times ahead, for sure !! Enjoy your TGIF, Angela

  5. Simile, really?? Then pileup?? Isn’t that two words? I don’t like this puzzle creator although I did get the final answer, surprisingly. I think Friday puzzles are often c r a z y hard!

    • Simile isn’t a new word to the Jumble, it’s been in play before. If Pileup was two words, it wouldn’t have been used….And as far as the puzzle creator, there’s only one person who creates the Jumble, each day, every day. Are the puzzles harder on Friday? Sometimes…🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Making no progress on the answer, I took another look at the drawing and spotted the big reels. I still have an old reel-to-reel tape recorder, which helped me. Once I had the answer, I was able to back into Pileup. A DELL made me smile, Angela. Wishing all a fun weekend.

  7. PAUL…JUST A HEADS UP…In case you’re looking for your comment, it posted on yesterday’s page. I’ve no way to change the date, so subsequently my reply to you followed suit. 🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. After being stumped on pileup and looking that up, the cartoon was a quick solve!Have a better than good, Good Friday!

  9. Oddly enough I struggled with baron this morning. Had to resort to paper and pencil to solve the cartoon answer but I did get it after a bit. Wishing all a good Good Friday!

    • Yes, Betty, as difficult as it was today, and I solved it, I too got stuck on baron which one would think is an easy word to unscramble.

  10. I did get the answer but before I did I came up with another one that would have been perfect except the letters weren’t the anagrams. Un “- fore” – scene. Just the way my brain functions. Happy Easter!
