  1. Good Morning, Everyone…☘️ OF COURSE IT’S GREEN! ☘️

🎶 Again, I’ll touch the GREEN, GREEN GRASS of home…🎶 “Green, Green Grass of Home” – Sir Tom Jones 1966
    https://tinyurl.com/2nzfj6ce

☘️Our puzzle deals with green today, and it’s most apropos,
St Patrick’s Day we celebrate…so reference we bestow…
‘Tis not a day to SNORT at, there’s many who ENGAGE,
In lifting up a pint or two…young, ELDER…and the sage
So in homage we find ourselves at a familiar scene…
No HAGGLE will we have today…it’s all about GREENS GREEN! ☘️

So how do you say Happy St Patrick’s Day without saying Happy St Patrick’s Day??…You have a puzzle dealing with GREEN, of COURSE! …And to all those cynics out there…here’s a new HOOK today…A golfing puzzle that DOESN’T have “course” in its solve! We BREAK with TRADITION…Tradition!… https://tinyurl.com/46rzm9nc …Oh, sorry…wrong Nationality…Went a bit way off COURSE there for a moment, didn’t I? …Oh, what the heck…I’ll DRINK to it just the same!

Ok…On the golf course…and we find ourselves in the company of a Groundskeeper, SHORN Off, and a man who’s either another Groundskeeper not yet in uniform…(note the coffee…he may just be coming on the job)…or your average Joe Golfer…(his dialogue goes both ways)…PUTT today, I’ll call him SHAM (short for Seamus) Rock. Standing aROUND HEWing the fat, Shorn and Sham are overheard discussing the drought’s effect on the course…And I have no idea where they might be, because the entire country has definitely had its share of wet weather so far this year…Anyway, we see the sprinklers watering the GREENS, and we hear about a SLICE of ground’s maintenance…Our dialogue’s telling us that while water’s needed to keep the GREENS GREEN, the Fairway (which is the closely mown path between the tee and the green, and usually cut 2 to 4 times a week) can get DRY, I mean by, without the PRESSING need…PUTT again…it’s keeping the GREENS GREEN that’s PAR for the COURSE…

…And Jeff’s Gem for today? If you look real closely at Shorn’s cap, you’ll see a tiny Shamrock…☘️ https://tinyurl.com/bdhtu8s9 …Tradition!…And speaking of…What would St Patrick’s Day be without a little PULL at the heartstrings? …I can’t LIE…I don’t have a drop of Irish blood in me…PUTT even I TEAR up at this one… https://tinyurl.com/4cm48wzr …Well done, Lads…I’m sure there’s not a DRY eye in the house…

So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And to all our readers wearing the GREEN today, I tip my cap and raise my glass in solidarity…And may we all share in this blessing with you…May good luck be with you wherever you go, and your blessings outnumber the shamrocks that grow…May your days be many and your troubles be few…may all God’s blessings descend upon you. May peace be within you, may your heart be strong… May you find what you’re seeking wherever you roam…☘️🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤷🏻‍♂️The ELDER folks always seemed to SNORT at Nick’s attempts to keep the GREENS GREEN in the produce department, but his boss told him not to HAGGLE with them… and if need be, ENGAGE as little as possible…🤷🏻‍♂️

🐶The ELDER dog seemed sluggish, his owner heard a SNORT,
The Vet had said to call if there were changes to report…
His golf foursome was on tap, but he’d hate to leave his pet,
He knew the three would HAGGLE with him…either way regret
Not wanting to ENGAGE in words…he asked the next door teen…
If he’d check on the dog…and he’d go play on the GREENS GREEN…🐶

  3. 💦 Comes to golfing we’ve been here before,
    But today…different slant, that’s for sure….
    There’s no mention of course,
This one went to the source…
It’s ‘bout water, the puzzle du jour…💦

⛳️ Courses usually stay green and so lush,
    Watered, trimmed…so they’re looking quite flush…
Lots of care it does take,
    Mowers, trimmers and rakes…
    Maintenance needed to remain plush…⛳️

✅ Celebrating today with the green,
And our puzzle’s gone somewhere between…
    Keeping the date in mind,
    But with golfing entwined…
Somewhat different from past puzzles seen…✅

    ⛳️And our Groundskeeper’s feeling content,
Lack of rain’s not upsetting our gent…
    He’s got sprinklers on tap,
    And they’re helping our chap…
Cutting down on time that would be spent…⛳️

💚 Bottom line, easy puzzle in sway,
As we celebrate St Patrick’s Day…
    So it’s Erin Go Bragh,
As we lift up a jar…
And it’s cheers to the Irish we pay! 💚

  4. I just got a hole in one ! What a great way to end the weekdays with 5 in a row of solving jumbles ! Even the anagrams were very entertaining and no problems ! With golf season right around the corner, there’s nothing better than the GREENS GREEN ! I played golf a lot , a few years back and I enjoyed a good game ! So everybody , let’s get ready for a Saturday , end of the week fun jumble ! Everyone have a great Friday !!!!!

  5. I continue to have amazing blind solve results this week, and today was no exception. Don’t know how long that can last, but am enjoying it ever so much. More than that, Angela treated us with a vast array of tunes to melodically mark the day. As a non-celebrator of St. Pat’s Day, I enjoyed Green Green Grass and Tradition. And yes, you’re right on the mark with the word COURSE left out of the puzzle….that’s usually my go to word on golf puzzle days. At my local golf course, the Bermuda has finally emerged and the greens have been in great shape. Ahhh..springtime !!

  6. Good morning. Simple solve today on both parts but don’t you find that a lot of the time the 5 letter words take just a little longer to solve than the 6 letter words. What a terrific song you gave us today Angela. Such a powerful voice. As always be safe out there and be well. Almost forgot , Happy Saint Patrick’s Day to all.

    • Good Morning, Paul. I agree…the 5 letter words can prove to be harder to solve…Tk you…Be well and stay safe out there…☘️🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. A St Patrick’s Day jumble with the wearing of the Green on the Greens. Being a former avid golfer, the cartoon was a quick blind solve. The anagrams were a quick solve as well except for a pause on snort! Happy St Patrick’s Day to one and all.

  8. Easy one today and certainly appropriate for St. Patrick’s Day. I had one delightfully Irish uncle among all the Italians. He was truly a wonderful man with a cheerful outlook on life and a devilish sense of humor. Thanks for the Irish Tenors, Angela. It brings tears to my eye too. After listening to them I played “McNamara’s Band” with Bing Crosby to liven things up. Erin Go Bragh! ☘️
