  1. Good Morning, Everyone…📚THE A-TO-Z OF LEARNING📚

    🎶 It’s the Encyclopedia…E N C Y C L O P E D I A..🎶… https://tinyurl.com/52xuc2xw Jiminy Cricket as featured on the “Mickey Mouse Club” https://tinyurl.com/mv6b72c3 circa mid 1950s

    📚Learning to SPELL a blessing…to read…even more so,
    There’d be a so-called “OUTAGE” if I felt I didn’t know…
The joy that comes from learning…I feel an ENVOY’s worth,
When I can teach the kids new words…and do it all with mirth…
Two men, Bell and Macfarquhar brought Britannica to be,
And helped UNMASK so many things…the knowledge A-to-Z…
The print editions are no more…where once they filled up columns…
But all those years of success? Proved Britannica SPOKE VOLUMES! 📚

I don’t think I need to SPELL this out, Folks…it’s pretty obvious where we’re going with this one…It’s all DEFINED right there in our question and our dialogue…

Edinburgh, Scotland…And we’re dealing with Encyclopedias, and if you look closely at the pages on the desk, it reads “Encyclopedia Britannica”, https://tinyurl.com/4kbrnhsh just in case you’re wondering why I’m using that name instead of Grolier or World Book. You know I DO LOOK THINGS UP, Folks…Anyway, the words…”seeking KNOWLEDGE”…”expanding”…”selling” …SPEAK for themselves…plus the WEIGHT, I mean the way obvious VOLUMES that are seen in the cartoon ties this one up to be a DEFINE-ate automatic READ…It SPOKE VOLUMEShttps://tinyurl.com/4a9tr9rs …A great play on WORDS…

…And Jeff’s given us some Gems to PORE OVER…For I: the clerk has his tongue sticking out…I always get such a lick…I mean a kick out of that. And I I: he’s a leftie, which I also enjoy seeing. I I I: the calendar on the wall is READING January, with the 1st as a Monday, and the year being either 1820 or 1870…but oddly enough, January 1st wasn’t a Monday in either year, they were both Saturdays…And IV: The headings of the Title Pages on the desk read in full…”Encyclopedia Britannica, A Dictionary of Arts, Sciences, etc”…and I found the exact page in this article… https://tinyurl.com/yhercstx listed under Second Edition… As for the two gentlemen? I’m pretty sure they’re Andrew Bell https://tinyurl.com/yc3949d7 and Colin Macfarquhar. https://tinyurl.com/yrpsuuf4 …although I did come across some other names too…so they may not be…But if you’re truly interested, the links I’ve provided should help. They’re all interesting READS…

So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe …and I’m kind of sorry that I never saved our Encyclopedias…I used to love looking through them…I guess you could say I was completely inFACTuated with learning… 📚🙋🏻‍♀️

    I STAND WITH UKRAINE 💔🇺🇦

  2. 👍🏻After the power OUTAGE, the fact that it appeared as if a SPELL had lifted from him SPOKE VOLUMES about the ENVOY, and did wonders to UNMASK his true worth…👍🏻

🤦🏻‍♂️The ENVOY to the U.N. was afraid that they’d UNMASK,
The fact that he fell short and wasn’t hardly up to task…
He couldn’t SPELL it out to them, but surely they might know,
And right now with the OUTAGE he lies here in candle’s glow…
His thoughts are deep and worrisome…and how they do consume…
His being…And he wonders if his actions SPOKE VOLUMES…🤦🏻‍♂️

  3. What a way to end the week going into the weekend ! The anagrams were there , but I did have to UNMASK that one ! The jumble , about an encyclopedia that I remember as a kid , my mother got a complete set from A to Z and it definitely SPOKE VOLUMES ! This one made me smile and I had fun ! Great way to end a week of tough jumbles ! Just look it up in the encyclopedia ! Everyone have a great start of the weekend !!!!!

  4. No blind solve in this household this today…just a little too cryptic for my tastes. As I glanced through the anagrams, spotted a K that was going to be a factor, but that didn’t help. So…went to unscrambling anagrams, saw the word SPOKE and finished it up. Angela, such an interesting story you weave from the cartoon details, especially Jiminy Cricket !! I’m impressed. Have a great TGIF

  5. Good morning. All that knowledge must have given me some inspiration because I had very little difficulty with the words and after reading the cartoon answer I drew a blank and then when I started to put the letters down I had an Epiphany. I actually blurted out the answer “Spoke Volumes” Guess I’ll give myself a half blind solve. Loved your Jimmy Cricket video. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Epiphany! 👏🏻👏🏻! Good Morning, Paul. Thank you! Be well and stay safe out there…📚🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Too many letters for me to solve the cartoon jumble, but after looking up the first word, volumes was a quick solve for the second word.

  7. Clever puzzle this morning. Like Paul, I was pondering the letters when all of a sudden I said “Spoke Volumes” . Cute Jiminy Cricket video. Have a Good Friday all!

      • It’s happened to me too, on more than one occasion. But it’s not caused by the site here, it’s a Word Press glitch. The only thing I can suggest is to subscribe again. I hope it helps…🤷🏻‍♀️
