  1. Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well….
🛳I’M AFRAID THAT SHIP HAS SAILED! 🛳

🎶 If you ever find yourself stuck in the middle of the SEA, I’ll SAIL the world to find you…If you ever find yourself lost in the dark and you can’t see I’ll be the light to guide you… We’ll find out what we’re made of when we are called to help our friends in need….🎶 “Count On Me” – Bruno Mars 2010 https://tinyurl.com/ydsjy8p2 *

    🐴Two party boats we’re seeing here…( a play on words I show )…
And average Joe best not AWAIT…he’ll feel the undertow…
His ship is looking WISPY, wedged between the larger two,
And he stands there annoyed by the words of the Red and Blue…
Their views so SPLINT…oh typo…the word I sought was Split,
Such pettiness we’re seeing…neither crew seems to be fit…
    Joe’s feeling SHRUNK from listening…wishes they’d get a grip…
‘Cause right now all he’s seeing is rival PARTISAN SHIPS! 🦣

As much as I enjoy the Jumble, it’s rare that it amuses me to the point of laughing. But this one did give me a smile, maybe because we’ve heard the word bipartisan all too often lately. Getting the solve the moment I glanced at it, strangely enough, 1 of the 3 Early Birds that I was playing with, Phil, wasn’t immediately ON BOARD. So I took the FLOOR, and gave him my usual SPEECH… Study the cartoon…And the dialogue, dialogue, dialogue. I’ll re-ENACT what transpired…

Simply put, a PARTISAN https://tinyurl.com/5f92wnvk is defined as someone who supports one party or another…and most often is reluctant to compromise. And we’re looking at two SHIPS. So I said to the Early Bird…”PHIL, A(h)…BUSTER, there’s so many ways to look at our puzzle for the solve today…We’re given Republicans and Democrats in our question, a huge clue in itself, the dialogue between the two SPEAKERS is showing their biased views, and again…there’s two SHIPS….purposely separated. Plus the average Joe Citizen in his very CONSERVATIVE ship in THE MIDDLE,is telling them they’re both kind of LOST AT SEA…his words REPRESENTIng their poor DECISIONS to knock one another…all leading to the unfortunate politically STALEMATED STATE of affairs”…And with that little NAYrrative, Phil said, “AYE, now I get it”…

***And SPEAKING OF*** As easy-going as Mike can be, one thing he’s adamant about is keeping politics out of this blog. It’s his main HOUSE rule, and he’s laid down the LAW as far as the subject goes. So please, if anyone ELECTS to comment today, be assured that anything politically inflammatory will be deleted…and the SPEAKER SANCTIONED…So…if you feel there’s an ELEPHANT in the room? Do the RIGHT thing…TRUST me, it’s better LEFT unsaid…And you’ll avoid making yourself look like an ASS…

So…getting back to the solve? Two parties, two ships? PARTISAN SHIPS…ANCHOR I have an Amen? BeCAUSE we’ve ADDRESSed another puzzle!

Oh…and as always, the ubiquitous Signature Sailboat can be seen sinking in the background. Jeff’s so LIBERAL with that little boat…we see water, we see our sailboat…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and here’s to us all hopefully getting along…🐴🦣🙋🏻‍♀️
    * Wishful Thinking!

    THRILLED FOR DAMAR HAMLIN 🙏🏻
    …AND I STAND WITH UKRAINE 💔🇺🇦

  2. ⚾️ With the husband being a staunch Yankee fan, and his wife loyal to the Mets, they’d anxiously AWAIT each day to compare whose stats rose and whose SHRUNK…often teasing one another with WISPY arguments; they even each had a SPLINT of wood carved into rival baseball bats…which all led to their children punning that their marriage wasn’t a partnership…it needed to be filed under PARTISAN SHIPS…⚾️

🧸 The WISPY stuffed toy showed its age, it had seen better days,
And Mom…a game of AWAIT…till her daughter sees her way…
To agree to the plan that numbers def need to be SHRUNK,
That too many of these old toys have now turned into junk
One wears a SPLINT, another kept intact with large hair clips…
But right now Mom and daughter? Compare to PARTISAN SHIPS! 🧸

  3. Thursday made me thirsty ! The anagrams were all there ! The jumble had me politically challenged ! But I saw SHIPS and the one word left to neutralize the two parties was PARTISON ! So that made me thirsty for an ice tea ! Another fun and entertaining jumble ! This week has been good ! So everyone have a great thirsty-Thursday !!!!!

  4. Definitely not a blind solve morning for me, so had to tackle anagrams first. Love those long anagrams with only one vowel…makes solving pretty easy. With that done, first took out SHIPS, but then thought that might be incorrect since he used BOATS in the puzzle cartoon. For Navy people, those two words don’t mix. But then glommed onto PARTISAN and finished up the solve. OMG, almost halfway thru January !!!

    • Hey Terry…The general rule is that no “exact” word in the question would be used in the answer…so boats, used in place of ships, gets the pass. 🛳🙋🏻‍♀️

      • Thanks…and I know that rule. Still, I thought ships just might be too close, and they were looking for a different approach. Obviously, I was wrong….thanks for reaching out. tc

  5. Yes, it is PARTISAN SHIPS, or PARTISANSHIPS; it can be combined into a single word. But they are also ASPIRANT SHIPS, since both parties aspire to achieve their agendas. And the musical instruments they play are pianos that are tuned too high: PIANISTS SHARP, strummers from Madrid, HARPISTS SPAIN, and a few SNAPPISH SITARs. Since both parties have their piranhas, there probably are a few PIRANHAS SPITS on the hulls.

  6. Good morning. Not much difficulty with the words but I had a lot with the cartoon answer. So much so that I used the app to come up with all the words using the letters. I came up with first word which let me figure the second word out. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

  7. After a pause on wispy , the cartoon was a quick near blind solve given the boat and political references, even w the multitude of letters which usually give me trouble!
