In fact the corn is something that over time is an enormous formation and build up of keratinous skin. A corn on a human foot , if unchecked can grow to a painful size. Horns and antlers are a wild animal’s keratinous formation on the head. It is entirely plausible that there was an animal related to deer and even horses (the hoof is very thick keratinous material too). So a 4 legged animal with one horn may have existed and may have been a rare species which like a 4 leaf clover is lucky and has very good human connection.
I am a 74 year lld who was a science nerd as a kid. My grandma believed in unicorns so who could. ever doubt that?

Good morning Wednesday hump-day ! I love the guest jumblers ! Once I adjust , I think I’ll solve them better ! TUXEDO was not there to wear ! I introduced the jumble to some friends tonight and I think I got them hooked ! They loved it ! We all got HAD A , but GOOD POINT a was tough ! But it was fun and they’re going to doing the jumble ! I love it ! So everyone have a great Wednesday hump-day !!!!!

HAD A GOOD PINTO. This one has a really strong shadow solution. Unicorns don’t exist. So in order for Phoebe to have one, someone has to put a single horn on an existing animal, in this case, a pinto horse. So Phoebe is telling her unicorn horse what a good pinto she was.

Domino and tuxedo had me stumped at first but solving those anagrams gave me a multitude of letters to work with for the cartoon solution, which surprisingly I could solve on a freezing overcast Wednesday!
Three for three so far this week. Looks like a cute cartoon but not one my paper carries. Have a magical day all! 🦄
Domino had a good run in the fifties with outputs like “Blueberry Hill” and “Ain’t That a Shame”.
The cartoon clue is not supposed to have any solution words in it. The word ‘had’ is in both the cartoon and the answer. “… But Phoebe _was forced_ to admit … ” would have been better wording. I think this one slipped past the editors.
Mark. There’s no rule etched in stone regarding words used in the question. What we won’t see is a “key” clue word of the solution used in the dialogue. And as far as slipping past the editors, these puzzles are drawn up by our Guest Jumblers, so for the most part, we can’t expect them to be of the caliber we’re used to.
