It’s thirsty-Thursday and following in yesterday’s shoes , the anagrams were all there for me ! I didn’t SLANT on one ! They had a lot of COLOR in them and there’s no way I’m gonna close the CLOSET ! The jumble was presented FAIRLY ! As John Nash would sing 🎶 I can see clearly now the rain is gone 🎶 ! But it did rain ! I got CLEAR , but I thought it was CLEARLY and what was left was not CLEAR , but I kept going and had to look a little , and then got it ! Very fun and CRYSTAL CLEAR ! Color got me as did the crystal part of the cartoon answer. The Cleveland baseball team had multiple rainouts during the season and may be rained out in NY today which would necessitate 4 games in 4 days if the series goes 5 games.
Tough one today. Kept thinking really or clearly would be the first word. When I realized that clear was the second word, finally figured out crystal but it took a while. Good challenge.

Hi Everyone – I had some missteps today on the way to the answer. My first thought was Fraily (frailly). I wasn’t sure if it looked right so I checked the spelling. And I was pretty convinced, like Betty, that the first word of the answer was Clearly until I could do nothing with the remaining five letters.
Only CLOSET wasn’t an instant solve. Like everyone else, I saw CLEAR or CLEARLY, but couldn’t solve it until I started putting the Y in the middle of the word. That led to a CHRYSTAL CLEAR answer.
Hi Dennis…Surprised that so many comments are mentioning CLEARLY as thought to be the first word…David’s use of the rather “wordy” ..”Transparent Form of Quartz” was phrased that way for a reason. Pure quartz is traditionally called “rock CRYSTAL or CLEAR Quartz”. He gave us that huge clue to the solve, and if you note, in my post, I followed the phrase with a 🤦🏻♀️…because it was a mouthful…But IMO, it did get the job done! 🤷🏻♀️💎
He definitely left clues. When we solve the puzzles, we don’t necessarily understand the clues until we solve the puzzle. I first tried CLEAR, but didn’t see CHYSTAL, then tried CLEARLY, and then tried the Y in the middle of the first word.
I haven’t used the letters in the longest time. But my way of solving isn’t for everyone. I think it’s much easier getting the letters and then studying the dialogue. Either way, it’s all fun. But both David and Jeff do give us a lot of clues. It just takes concentration..🤷🏻♀️
This 88 year old was able to do a blind soul and all of the anagrams within three minutes. Crystal clear pop right off in Crystal clear.
