    🌜His wife’s being very CANDID, telling him she’s not on board,
    She knows her head will POUND for sure if she is in accord…
    He’s up early off to CAMPUS, it’s his first job of the day,
    And tonight as the EAGLE flies*, he’ll be getting his pay
    But while he’s feeling wide awake, to her it’s still “PM”…
    She’s staying warm within her bed…as he gets UP AND “AD ‘EM”! 🌛

    So.. Early morning, and we see our couple in contrasting form…ADAM is wide AWAKE, ready to tackle the day, while EVE isn’t “BUYING it”…And since I’m not one to do the words and gather letters, …first glance…I’m immediately thinking UP AND AT ‘EM… https://tinyurl.com/2848yjvp easy, breezy…But then I notice there isn’t just the usual single quote at ‘EM, there’s quotes around both last words…Hmm…And then it hit me…🧱Our man of the (ungodly) HOUR, climbs UP and installs billboards, as can be seen out the window.…and he’s an AD man…So Adam’s…UP AND “AD ‘EM”! ..And how clever is that? Kudos, David…you definitely SOLD ME on this one!

    • Very clever and witty today. Not much to do, but to plow thru the anagrams. That accomplished.. . and cartoon puzzle was summarily solved. Cute song too.

      • Suz…I’ve been having problems too…for a few days now. But I have nothing to do with the site, so I can’t help. Sorry. I did see that a comment of yours posted twice the other day. All I can suggest is if it doesn’t go through, just try it again. I can always delete one. I keep getting a message…(in red no less! 😱)…that my replies can’t be posted…yet they show up. So I have no idea what goes on with Word Press…I wish I could be of more help…

  3. 💲The group who lived on CAMPUS were UP AND AT ‘EM every morning, out to POUND the pavement, CANDID about their search for part-time employment to help support their project to save the EAGLE sanctuary…💲

    🦅 So spotted on the CAMPUS, was an EAGLE…rarely seen,
    And everyone was quite taken with watching the bird preen…
    In for a penny, in for a POUND…some were CANDID to say,
    That they’d invest the time to trace its movements day by day…
    So each and every morning, in a quest to film the gem…
    The group set their alarm clocks…and they all were UP AND AT ‘EM! 🦅

  5. It’s Wednesday hump-day ! The fun jumbles keep coming ! The anagrams were so CANDID ! But back on CAMPUS was a little tough ! So I had to POUND the rest out And I hope that was LEGAL ! But as usual , great week to continue . I was like the billboard installer to start the day , I was UP AND AD’EM ! Can’t wait til Thursday and Friday ! This week has been really fun ! And I really enjoy reading everybody’s comments ! And Angela’s song choice can never go wrong with the Beatles !!! I love that song ! 🎵good day sunshine ! 🎵 can’t get it out of my head ! Everyone have a great hump-day !!!!

  6. Good morning. Looks like I’m taking a break today. My paper doesn’t have jumble, cartoons or any of my busy morning activities. It does have crossword 2 twice though. Oh well, there is always tomorrow. Take care.

  7. I tried to spell eagle as eag-el which gave me a pause but then after straightening that out the cartoon solution was quick though I thought up and at em rather than the up and ad em until I noticed the quote marks. All in all a successful Wednesday Jumble Day.

  9. Good morning on this beautiful Fall day – Miss Molly and I just got back from a walk by the lake – gorgeous ! So, the “EAGLE” has landed on the “CAMPUS”, when asked in a “CANDID” interview the eagle admitted to confiscating the 100 “POUND” football from the campus trophy case – which he had to “UP AND AD EM” to replace it before he got into hot water ! Great jumble again today and Angela I loved the song you picked out ! So until tomorrow and hoping you all can enjoy this beautiful, sunny day !🌞
