Good Morning, Everyone..I hope this finds you well…
👖WHEN THE SPIRIT IS WILLING…BUTT THE FLESH HAS PEAKED!👖
🎶 SO IT SEEMS that I have BEEN RATHER FOOLISH for some time…Tryin’ to change all of the DREAMS I SHOULD HAVE LEFT BEHIND…🎶 “So It Seems” – The Natterjacks 2016 https://tinyurl.com/4dayk5zm
👖He couldn’t WEDGE into his pants, a LESSON here to learn,
His wife had warned him that he needed calories to burn…
His days of wine and roses like his pants no longer fit..
He’s not the DAINTY man he was…hence we have the pants split…
He wants to STRUM on his guitar and dance…but in his dreams…
The act along with this old suit? That ship sailed…”SEW” IT “SEAMED”! 👖
Isn’t it ironic how sometimes the day’s words fit the puzzle’s theme? Wedge, Dainty? I love quirky little things like this…
Anyway…Not too much of a STRETCH getting today’s solve. A picture’s worth a thousand calories…I mean words…We’ve got ourselves an aging John Travolta wanna-be, https://tinyurl.com/yc8r9666 looking to trip the LIGHT (and I use the word LIGHTLY) fantastic, in a suit that’s definitely SEAMed better days. And despite his wife’s efforts to “keep it together”, no pun intended, it SEAMS like it’s a futile attempt…And she can’t help BUTT NEEDLE him about it…Let’s face it, Folks…she meant for the SEAM to fuse..BUTT she didn’t plan on it being abused! That BIG finale of his? Looks like its time has come! …Or “SEW” IT “SEAMED”! https://tinyurl.com/2ehbwea5
So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and I’m gonna SPLIT! 👖🙋🏻♀️
I STAND WITH UKRAINE 💔 🇺🇦 …AND I STAND FOR REFORM IN AMERICA 💔 🇺🇸
ANAGRAM HISTORY…🔠🙋🏻♀️

🤦🏻♀️ The LESSON on social etiquette somehow turned into STRUM, I mean Sturm und Drang, or SO IT SEEMED, after the DAINTY WEDGE-shaped finger sandwiches fell from the serving tray…🤦🏻♀️
🎸Her DAINTY little fingers, they would STRUM on the guitar,
She heeded every LESSON… for a child…raised the bar…
He knew he had to WEDGE her in despite his busy slate,
The child truly talented..she carried her own weight…
In his mind the word prodigy…a music teacher’s dream…
And she may run rings ‘round the lot right now or SO IT SEEMED!🎸
👖Looks like pandemic weight’s hard to hide,
Got a lot of us…taken in stride…
And this guy with his suit?
Needs to give it the boot…
‘Cause there’s no way those pants gonna slide! 👖
🤷🏻♀️Quarantine Fifteen def took a toll,
Our guy here? Yes, a sight to behold…
With his pants way too tight,
His wife fought the good fight…
But her efforts just couldn’t unfold! 🤷🏻♀️
🕺🏻Seems he’s looking for pants in which he,
Can perform, but it’s easy to see…
That his inches won out,
And now it’s all about…
Something to wear to the finale!🕺🏻
🧵She sewed his pants the best that she could,
And in normal use they would be good…
But he’s trying to dance,
There’s no way though he’ll prance…
And that split seam makes it understood! 🧵
🤷🏻♂️Maybe there’ll be some time to lose weight,
Before our guy is due for that date…
It’s so easy to gain,
Comes to losing? A pain!
So a new suit might be our guy’s fate! 🤷🏻♂️
Got it all and the solution.
Not tough but fun!
Here we go again taco-Tuesday, the start of another week of great fun jumbles ! I should have taken a LESSON on past anagrams to really try harder cause I gave up too easy on that one ! But it will not put a WEDGE in it ! The rest were as fun as a song to the STRUM ! The jumble was helped by sewing and the words SEW “IT” SEAMED , came right together and was good ! He might want to get a long tail jacket in case his seam breaks ! Everyone have a great taco-Tuesday!
Yes, pretty easy to stitch all the various seams together from the cartoon for a blind solve…..and anagrams followed speedily on this pleasant Taco-Tuesday.
Good morning. Enjoyed todays answer. Thought it was very clever. Actually put a smile on my face when I got it. The guys have been pretty easy on us for awhile now. I’m waiting for the hammer to fall real soon now. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.
When your pants come apart at the seam
And it makes you want to scream
“Yes, this weight I can lose
To get into those trews”
Folks, it’s nothing but a dream!
A friend, who owns a “high-end” dress store recounted recently how a customer shopping for dress to wear at a wedding, insisted on buying a size 12, even although she was a size 18, stating that she planned on losing 15 lbs to get into the dress in time for the event. A week or so before the event, she returned to the store asking that the dress be altered to make it larger. Hence ensued a frantic rush to locate extra fabric to insert new panels and of course. finding a sewer these days is no mean feat!
That’s a good story Helen. The customer was definitely an optimist. A realistic would have bought the 18 and head it altered down when she lost the weight. 🤭
That’s what I thought too Betty. It seems it was a new sales associate who handled the customer and she was reluctant to say she doubted the customer could lose 15 lbs, But it raises an ethical question – should a store refuse to sell an article of clothing to someone who claims they will lose the required weight??!
Sounds like a no win situation to me. Unless it was a designer dress, perhaps the store could have ordered an Size 18 and just exchanged it when she returned. The Poundemic Strikes Again!!
Solved the anagrams and the cartoon answer seamlessly this morning. Cute and timely puzzle.
A quick solve despite the quotes around the cartoon words! Have a Happy Taco Tuesday.
