Too bad there’s no ELIXIR brewed to help them spot a sound,
It’s listening…under the hood and then it’s on the ground…
(And GUITAR won’t ‘play’ out with this…I tried but had to quit)…
Our problem here? The rattle…need to GET A FIX ON IT! 🚙
My first thought? Another easy, breezy one…My second thought? There’s a word of dialogue included in the solve…Hmm…
Ok. Three mechanics, one sound…And it looks like these guys are RIVETed, and had to shake, RATTLE and roll before they got a bead on it. But if you paid heed to the dialogue, as I always tell you to…”I thought”, “I still”, “I think”…and got those GEARS in motion, this one was definitely a reSOUNDing success…Because even if you’re not familiar with the age-old idiom, https://tinyurl.com/hpbm9fbs …not only do we see our guys TRYING to FIX the car, (with the,”J” for Jumble license plate)…but the word FIXED is right there in rear view…I mean plain view…They’re trying…but it’s tough to…GET A FIX ON IT…And this one’s reTIREd for today!

🎸Not OFTEN finding much while sifting through basements, he came across an old, battered electric GUITAR, covered in FILTH …and his first thought was that he’d need some sort of ELIXIR to GET A FIX ON IT…🎸
🎸He sat with his GUITAR in hand, trying to write a song,
And wondered if his choice of an ELIXIR would be wrong…
He OFTEN thought about a tune dealing with magic power,
He didn’t want some old time theme of love and hearts and flowers
And FILTH? Those type of lyrics…for him not a good fit…
To write a song…he’s trying…to GET A FIX ON IT…🎸

And they’re looking for it all around…
But the rattle holds tight,
Something still just ain’t right…

Happy thirsty-Thursday ! The jumbles just keep coming , for me to solve ! Great last four days of them ! The anagrams had no FILTH on them at all ! Instead they had the usual fun and easy ELIXIR in them ! It made me get my GUITAR out and play and sing like I did OFTEN when I had my band ! When the question came that the noise wasn’t easy to tell what was wrong , then it was hard to GET A FIX ON IT ! Those letters got in the car and drove right to me to get the jumble fixed ! Everyone have a nice satisfying drink for a great thirsty-Thursday !!!!!
Thirsty Thursday indeed. It was 100 degrees yesterday here in SoCal, and today looks like it’ll be hotter, as it’s much warmer this morning than yesterday.
Yes, when phrases are used, as it was today, the Jumble happens to be a little easier to solve…no ?? My first impression was GET A XXX ON IT, and thought for a minute or two to find that word. Yes, I peeked, ever so slightly, at the anagrams and saw a giant X sitting there, and so I found that three letter word. I also must admit that OFTEN took a little longer to solve. Pretty common strategy for me is….if the word doesn’t emerge right away, it might start with a vowel, and it helped me find that word. Ahhh, country western and some cowboy race driver havin’ trouble with his girl. Nice job, Angela.

It was tough to GET A FOX IN IT, but maybe that’s what happened. A fox got under the hood and started messing with things. and that’s what was causing the rattling sound. It was probably attracted by the warmth of a recently turned-off engine. This more frequently happens with a cat. And of course it was tough to GET A FIX ON IT.

A quick solve of the anagrams but I was intimidated by the multitude of small words in the cartoon puzzle, but eventually came up w the solution.
something is amiss in the way the puzzle appears on my screen … the words appear and work fine … but the solution is cut off … I have a difficult time solving when I don’t have the template …

What a beautiful day today in the Finger Lakes of New York, it “OFTEN” happens this time of year as Fall is in the air ! We need to “GET A FIX ON IT” to clean up the homeless living in FILTH” on the streets ! My lil bro is quite the entertainer – but when he was starting out, we needed an “ELIXIR” until he was done practicing on his “GUITAR” ! He now has perfected his gift and I’m proud of him ! Until tomorrow – have a sunny day !
