  1. Good Morning, Everyone….I hope this finds you well…

🎶 SOMETHING in the way she moves…🎶 “Something” – The Beatles 1969 https://tinyurl.com/mry2ht8b

➕When first learning addition, there’s TEDIUM involved,
INTENT though of the teacher is to help get problems solved…
She can’t just SHRUG off questions, to reach the bottom line,
She has to find a way to get inside these little minds
No caution to be FLUNG to wind, to these kids she need bring…
A total understanding that it adds up to “SUMTHING”!

It’s always endearing when the Jumble brings us stories of little children…and once again today we see that we can COUNT on another ONE of them being SOMETHING special!

The ANSWER to this ONE was another gimme…Teaching SUMS…And with our dialogue giving us the words…”add”, “answers” and “total”…our question offering UP “equal” with another “total” and “added”…the whiteboard ADDING to it all…PLUS the ADDITION of those quotation marks, letting us know there’d be word play with a misspelling? To SUM it all up? No matter what we ADD together…it’ll give us “SUMTHING”! And the only thing about today’s puzzle that might not ADD up for everyone? Tedium…I’ve a feeling it may have caused some BORING…I mean poring over…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and let’s all COUNT our blessings today…➕🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤷🏻‍♂️It wasn’t his INTENT to get involved with the TEDIUM of everyday decision making, but realizing that SOMETHING had to be done quickly, he couldn’t just SHRUG his shoulders at the far FLUNG ideas being bandied about…🤷🏻‍♂️

💦 Three days of rain, the TEDIUM of it wouldn’t relent,
She had to SHRUG the boredom off since now her good INTENT
Was FLUNG right out the window…and it didn’t pay to cling…
To hopes of outdoor dining…Why was it always SOMETHING?💦

  3. ➕Teaching children ‘bout numbers today,
Repetition with kids the best way…
    1 plus 1 equals 2,
    And the rest will ensue…
And you trust that the knowledge will stay! ➕

👧🏻Love of numbers instilled while kids young,
Soon the sums will just roll off their tongues…
    And it’s such total joy,
For each small girl and boy…
As they grasp it once it has begun! 👧🏻

👦🏻Little children and trying to teach,
What before was to them out of reach…
But once things start to jive,
    You see kids come alive…
As addition becomes part of speech! 👦🏻

➕So you start out with numbers quite small,
Until they get the hang of it all…
    Then the digits increase,
And from there they don’t cease…
And you’re deep into numbers… long haul! ➕

👧🏻👦🏻We’ve had many a puzzle before,
Where the children were the theme du jour…
    And it’s always a thrill,
When the kids fit the bill…
And we hope that the future brings more! 👦🏻👧🏻

    • Good limericks Angela! The basic concepts are often overlooked in schools these days in favour of “higher level thinking”, however you have to know a lot before you can do that!

  4. Easy peasy ! Except I felt like I was in a TEDIUM with that word , so I gave my shoulder a SHRUG and I FLUNG through the jumble and that was my INTENT ! I’ve always had an easy time with numbers , being in finance for about thirty years. So todays jumble was fun and it didn’t leave me with Nothing , but rather SUMTHING I could comment on ! Everyone have a great Friday end of the week and 🎵 Nothing from Nothing leaves Nothing , you gotta have Something if you wanna be with me 🎵 Billy Preston ! Great Beatles song Angela !!!!!!

  5. Not the greatest of Jumble mornings…..just didn’t see that word emerge from the anagram letters. And struggled a bit over TEDIUM, too. Seems like the rest of the Jumblers found it easy !! Will try to go back and crank up my brain cell output for the rest of the day !!

  6. There is only one word in the English language that can fit this clue, and that is GUNSMITH. Don’t want that in the schools. The clue should have shown a 3 letter and a 5 letter word instead, as both SUM and THING are words.

  7. It’s an irrefutable fact
That however the numbers are stacked
    Go across, up or down
    Chase them all across town
You’ll get a total whether you add or subtract!

A simple concept in today’s jumble but very effective. Makes you focus on the absolute basics.

  8. Good morning. Fell short on the words and had to look up Tedium. Other than that it was a slam dunk. Got to admit Angela your song choice was good. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

  9. I enjoyed the very cleaver jumble today. I would have been had if I had not finally noticed “sum” and the italics. At first I thought the answer was something, but that had too many letters.

    • Something wouldn’t have warranted use of the quotation marks, Ray. Whenever you see them as part of the solve, that’s your clue to looking for a pun. And I’m glad you enjoyed todays! ➕🙋🏻‍♀️

  10. Being a math guy, “sumthing” was a blind solve even though the anagram for tedium had me stumped but needing the M and I for the cartoon solution led to the tedium anagram solution as well.

  11. Very clever. Outwitted my backup word solver which found the word “gunsmith”. 😯 😃
