With all our words today having been SEARCHED out in the PAST, they were easily UNCOVERED…And as for our solve? The cartoon screams FAMILY TREE, and with the apostrophe, I figured there’d be a possessive…plus he’s searching his ROOTS…so I went FIR it….and hit pay DIRT! David might have beLEAFed this one was BURIED…but never one to cry UNCLE, I LOOKED DEEPLY into it all…and dug it up at a glance…FAMILY TREE’S ROOTS!
OAKy…Our characters, members of the Gillett Family, are looking very distinctive, so I’m thinking they’re actual people. And on screen, about to be added to what’s already BRANCHed out in the tree on the wall above…a man looking to be dressed in a Civil War uniform, who lived 1835-1879, and a woman, 1830-1896 listed as the years of her lifetime. And from our guy’s reaction, it looks like he dug up something TREEmendous…I guess he wasn’t barking up the wrong tree!

Hello Sunday Funday ! And it was a fun day ! Unlike Sundays in the past , I really got all the anagrams except ROTATE and I’m sure I’ve seen that one before ! But the jumble was about family and I saw those letters right away ! Then the ROOTS which gave me TREE ! The ‘S raised an eyebrow but it made sense with FAMILY TREE ‘ S ROOTS ! But for a Sunday it was a Funday ! I am ready for a new start of the week ! Everyone enjoy their Sunday Funday !!!!
Most Sundays the anagrams are easy and so was today.
However the solution took me a lot of time.

I had on most of my thinking cap today and saw an immediate FAMILY TREE’S XXXXX, but didn’t pursue much longer until starting in on the anagrams. Yep, they were pretty easy this morning and made for an easy cartoon solve. Good song choice, Angela….but not familiar with it. Your song, however, reminds me of one of my favorite John Wayne movies, “The Searcher’s. Have a great Sunday.

Anagrams were a snap,but I had Family root’s trees as my cartoon solution rather than Family tree’s roots.
The Sunday Jumble’s answer on 7-24-2022 has a single box for one letter, but one letter is NOT PART OF THE ANSWER TO THE CARTOON. Talk about a nightmare to solve
WHY DIDN’T YOU GIVE US THE NECESSARY APOSTROPHE?????
As you can see from everything written above, the missing apostrophe you’re speaking of is not the norm. The puzzle submitted by David and Jeff did indeed provide the apostrophe needed for solving the puzzle…so the fault surely doesn’t lie with them….It seems that whatever source you’re using to solve is the culprit…And all that yelling is so unnecessary…
