Good Morning, Everyone…🔍THE FRUITS OF OUR LABOR? 🔍
🎶Gotta keep SEARCHIN’, SEARCHIN’…find a place to stay…Searchin’, searchin’, every night and day…🎶 “Keep Searchin’ – Del Shannon 1965 https://tinyurl.com/2p8vuuum
🔍 While we were all in quarantine, a lot of free time loomed,
Any new ideas did ROTATE ‘round…so new hobbies had bloomed…
Some with the UTMOST fervor turned to Ancestry.com
Instead of sitting idly through a stream of old romcoms…
Like one would chase a QUARRY…looks like his tree, I suppose,
‘Cause that’s either his sister…or his wife who don’t OPPOSE…
Him going on a FORMAL quest where one has to INSIST,
To be accepting of whatever lies within those lists
You may not like what turns up on that tree with all its fruits…
But bottom line, our guy’s looking for his FAMILY TREE’S ROOTS! 🔍
Family Trees…Definitely a lot of work…and you have to hope you’re happy with everything you’re apt to SEED…
With all our words today having been SEARCHED out in the PAST, they were easily UNCOVERED…And as for our solve? The cartoon screams FAMILY TREE, and with the apostrophe, I figured there’d be a possessive…plus he’s searching his ROOTS…so I went FIR it….and hit pay DIRT! David might have beLEAFed this one was BURIED…but never one to cry UNCLE, I LOOKED DEEPLY into it all…and dug it up at a glance…FAMILY TREE’S ROOTS!
OAKy…Our characters, members of the Gillett Family, are looking very distinctive, so I’m thinking they’re actual people. And on screen, about to be added to what’s already BRANCHed out in the tree on the wall above…a man looking to be dressed in a Civil War uniform, who lived 1835-1879, and a woman, 1830-1896 listed as the years of her lifetime. And from our guy’s reaction, it looks like he dug up something TREEmendous…I guess he wasn’t barking up the wrong tree!
So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And I’m sure you all know the easiest way to complete a FAMILY TREE…Just post on social media that you hit the lottery…it’ll all be RELATIVE after that…🔍🙋🏻♀️

SSNITI – RAQYUR – TROEAT – SMOTUT – AFMOLR: New
🪨 The parents began to strongly OPPOSE the gathering of teens near the QUARRY, and planned to INSIST that a FORMAL committee be appointed with the UTMOST speed, who would ROTATE turns policing the area…they felt if a committee gathered to help search for certain FAMILY TREE’S ROOTS, then one could be done so for this also…🪨
🤷🏻♂️As always some would def INSIST, while others would OPPOSE,
The money spent on a QUARRY…but that’s just how it goes…
A search…would it be FORMAL…or would things ROTATE by whim?
And did they have the UTMOST faith in being lead by Jim?
The man regarded by some folks to have odd attributes…
Besides right now he’s so involved with his FAMILY TREE’S ROOTS …🤷🏻♂️
Hello Sunday Funday ! And it was a fun day ! Unlike Sundays in the past , I really got all the anagrams except ROTATE and I’m sure I’ve seen that one before ! But the jumble was about family and I saw those letters right away ! Then the ROOTS which gave me TREE ! The ‘S raised an eyebrow but it made sense with FAMILY TREE ‘ S ROOTS ! But for a Sunday it was a Funday ! I am ready for a new start of the week ! Everyone enjoy their Sunday Funday !!!!
Most Sundays the anagrams are easy and so was today.
However the solution took me a lot of time.
Still a fun J.
Good morning Angela and Jumble followers. Just to let you know Angela that I’ll be off for awhile as I sold my house and I’m rotating between children until I finally can get into my new place. As always until I’m back stay well and take care.
Good Morning, Paul. There’s no reason to stop playing. I’d hate to see you not check in each day…Here’s a link to the puzzle, so that you can still play each day if you choose, despite not having a paper. I hope Brooklyn’s not losing one of its best…I wish you all good things…Be well, stay safe…and i hope you stay with us…😘🙋🏻♀️
I had on most of my thinking cap today and saw an immediate FAMILY TREE’S XXXXX, but didn’t pursue much longer until starting in on the anagrams. Yep, they were pretty easy this morning and made for an easy cartoon solve. Good song choice, Angela….but not familiar with it. Your song, however, reminds me of one of my favorite John Wayne movies, “The Searcher’s. Have a great Sunday.
Tks, Terry. Wishing you a great Sunday too. 🌲🙋🏻♀️
🔍 We see Mr Gillett on a search,
Of old records from schools or a church…
He’s looking for his kin,
Breaks out with a huge grin…
Looks like he won’t be left in the lurch! 🔍
🤦🏻♂️ When you’re looking for family ties,
Here and there you may face a surprise…
Tracing back through the years,
For those who are your peers?
Not as easy as you may surmise! 🤦🏻♂️
🗓 He’s in century number nineteen,
Hoping family ties he can glean…
And he’s landed on two,
That both seem to ring true…
Showing right there upon his screen! 🗓
🤷🏻♂️Tracing family roots is tough work,
Come across a roadblock or a quirk…
Patience definitely a must,
Or for sure you’ll go bust…
Once you start there’s no looking to shirk! 🤷🏻♂️
🍷Here’s to hoping that Mr Gillett,
Won’t discover something to regret,
Like finding a lost cousin,
Who may get him to cussin’
Once he starts with the family vet! 🍷
Easy one this morning. I’m not into genealogy research. We have enough nuts on the family tree without looking for more. Happy Sunday all!
👏🏻👏🏻Ditto…Have a good one, Betty. 🔍🙋🏻♀️
Anagrams were a snap, but I had Family root’s trees as my cartoon solution rather than Family tree’s roots.
The Sunday Jumble’s answer on 7-24-2022 has a single box for one letter, but one letter is NOT PART OF THE ANSWER TO THE CARTOON. Talk about a nightmare to solve
WHY DIDN’T YOU GIVE US THE NECESSARY APOSTROPHE?????
As you can see from everything written above, the missing apostrophe you’re speaking of is not the norm. The puzzle submitted by David and Jeff did indeed provide the apostrophe needed for solving the puzzle…so the fault surely doesn’t lie with them….It seems that whatever source you’re using to solve is the culprit…And all that yelling is so unnecessary…
Here’s a copy of the puzzle, taken directly from my paper… https://tinyurl.com/24v7jcw2
