SOME OF HIS WIFE’S FRENCH FRIES HAD FALLEN OUT AND INTO THE BAG. IT WAS GOING TO BE – – –
EIH RN ES PHD FRE SKE = FIND-“HERS” KEEP-“HERS”
Good Morning, Everyone…. 🍟 FOOD FOR FOUGHT? 🍟
🎶 I’m not the kind to play for fun I only play for KEEPs…and I’m keeping all the love I won..FINDERS,KEEPERS, losers, weepers,…The loser has to pay the score…🎶 “Finders Keepers, Losers Weepers” – Elvis 1965 https://tinyurl.com/5n7wb9wj
🍟As we can see in today’s SKETCH Ronald is filching fries,
The ones that fell from Wendy’s cup…and there is no disguise…
It’s not a French-Fry-FRENZY, yet Wendy is upset,
But Ronald he is thinking…”What I see is what I get”…
And it may be a MODEST means, but Wendy won’t be quelled,
Because there is that French Fry rule that needs to be UPHELD…
Don’t matter if it’s 20 fries or EIGHTY in the cup,
It looks like our AUBURN-haired girl don’t want to give them up…
The fries are hers, it’s only fair…his hands, besides his peepers…👀
Need stay away from what is hers…and not play FIND-“HERS” KEEP-“HERS”! 🍟
Ain’t it the way though? There’s just something so wrong about someone taking our fries…Doesn’t matter if they fell to the bottom of the bag…they’re still ours…And why should we sacriFRIES what’s ours? Am I right? I mean just because our cup runneth over doesn’t mean they’ve become public domain…And besides, he has his own…Anyway…let’s KETCHUP with our puzzle…
Scene: Ann Arbor, Michigan. And we see our couple, Ronald and Wendy, sharing a fast-food meal from the renowned TV food-show favorite, and Ann Arbor’s oldest hamburger stand, “Crazy Jim’s Blimpy 🍔 Burger”, https://tinyurl.com/2d9t9zyu ;…whose catch phrase, which you can see if you look closely above the Bear on the bag, reads “Cheaper Than Food”. (And speaking of the phrase and the Bear…here’s an interesting article that just happens to explain how they came to be… https://tinyurl.com/mw5dn35n )…But I’m using the word “sharing” loosely, because it’s obvious that Ronald isn’t exactly Wendy’s SPUD muffin right about now. I mean, it’s not that she’s being a FRY-baby, or a CHIPskate, but it’s just that she feels he’s being a TATER by going against the CUPles rule when it comes to fries. And his SALTy reply isn’t helping much either. He’s like…”FRY me a river”… which is FRYtfully rude if you ask me…But we see that Ronald has no problem deFRYing Wendy just the same. And his reasoning? Despite having fries of his own?…He FOUND HER fries in the bag…so he’s KEEPing them…A classic case of FIND-“HERS” KEEP-“HERS”! A brilliant solve, IMO….And if it wasn’t that one usually hears the phrases “FINDERS KEEPERS“ https://tinyurl.com/yrhxpnm6 and “I don’t see your name on” it… https://tinyurl.com/2p87a78u often used in tandem by kids as they wrestle for their spot on life’s FOOD chain, this might have been a little harder to DIGEST…But the dialogue and the wording of the question…”had fallen out” set the TABLE for me…and I BIT…All in all, a very satisFRYing witticism if you ask me…But what whet my APPETITE? https://tinyurl.com/3zkh2m2z …How come neither of them ordered Crazy Jim’s famous onion rings? 🧅🤷🏻♀️
So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminded me of friends of mine, who whenever we go to dinner constantly seem to argue over ordering French fries vs mashed potatoes…and they turn to me…And I’m always telling them to leave me out of it…that I’m not choosing sides…🍟🙋🏻♀️

💆🏻♀️Trying to stick to a MODEST budget on the ad campaign for the new AUBURN hair dye, FINDERS KEEPERS, boundaries needed to be UPHELD…so amongst the staff of EIGHTY copywriters, there was a FRENZY over whose SKETCH would be appropriate…💆🏻♀️
🤦🏻♀️ The standards weren’t UPHELD, and things had gotten lax,
They now were in a FRENZY and their patience had been taxed…
For EIGHTY years the business thrived through MODEST years and boon,
But now a SKETCH could be drawn showing things had gone to ruin
She sat and twirled her AUBURN hair…her thoughts they would be bleepers…
‘Cause business all too soon may be akin to FINDERS KEEPERS! 🤦🏻♀️
Good morning Sunday Funday ! I got in late and had to comment ! The anagrams were very fun but the jumble , I couldn’t FIND it , to KEEP it ! Oh well I’m ready to start a new jumble week starting tomorrow ! Everyone have a great Sunday Funday !!!!!
Finally located you online! Greetings from the UK.
Hi Helen! Men’s finals??? 🎾 🇬🇧
Tough morning at the Jumble. No blind solve but easy anagrams. Did pause a few moments over UPHELD, though. Saw the word KEEP and Marsha, who did puzzle earlier, told me that was correct. But that didn’t seem to help. Got another hint when she asked me, “who’s fries?” and that got me to answer “HERS” and I finally got that “aha” moment. Took long enough, though !! Perfect song and listened to it….nice, bouncy little tune. Angela…liked what you said about “not choosing sides”. Yes, I caught the double meaning !!
Good Morning, Terry. Tks…Glad you enjoyed them both…🍟🙋🏻♀️
Good morning. I was able to get all the words after awhile but drew a blank on the cartoon answer. First time hearing the Elvis song Angela and he was my wife’s favorite singer. She even had a picture of him in her roller skating carry case. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.
Good Morning, Paul. It’s not one of his better known songs…Have a good one..🍟🙋🏻♀️
Too many letters for me on this sunny beautiful Sunday morning!Being an avid Elvis fan I was familiar with that song!
Good one this morning. Had to resort to paper and pencil to figure out the cartoon answer. Separated all the double letters to find “hers” so “find” and “keep” were fairly easy to spot after that. Happy Sunday all!
Even though my blind solve wasn’t complete, I did latch onto some form of “finders-keepers.”
When a blind solve doesn’t appear, my general approach is to lay out the answer blank like this:
In this case, the answer is all 4 letter words. So I start by listing all the 4 letter words in the anagram solutions. Since “find” and “keep” were there, I took them out of the anagram ‘pool’ and was left with two sets of double letters: “rhes” which quickly resolved to “hers.” After chiding myself for 20-20 hindsight, I had a second cup of coffee.
