So…”Pork Chops and Applesauce”….Hmm…Ok…In the interest of full disclosure, here’s what MEATS the eye…I’ve never seen the “Brady Bunch”. I know of it simply because over the years references to it have POPped up a gazillion times in the media and trivia contests, and it’s become a POP Culture staple. But whether one’s seen the show or not, getting today’s solve was a piece of cake, simply because IMO, you hear “Brady”, you automatically think BUNCH. (Well some people think Tom, but let’s not ruin a good day). Anyway…the solve was an automatic read…because between the extensive info given in both the dialogue and the question, it was simply a case of BLACK AND WHITE…But for those of you who may not know, below is some background info I’ve gleaned for you on the “Personality Kid”. And of course I went right to the SAUCE…Google!
Two generations of TV watchers, speaking of a third. It’s present day, but our puzzle revolves around Episode #3 of Season #6 of the “Brady Bunch”…Airing in 1971, the character Peter, played by Christopher Knight, after being told that he lacked personality, is shown on screen imitating Humphrey Bogart…uttering what’s become an extremely POPular catchphrase of the show. I am so happy that the jumbles are so fun ! I watched the Brady Bunch all the time ! Great series ! Man , each one of the characters could FLAUNT their stuff and Bobby and Cindy were never SHYLY !
