But right now his nerves seem to grasp him as if in a fetter…

Today it’s golf and the novice…and his “UNCERTAIN-TEE”! 🏌🏻
As all of you Jumble diehards know by now, we’ve golfed so much over the years we could form a CLUB. We’ve definitely had a HOLE lot of golf-themed puzzles. And since it is a favorite sport of both David and Jeff, of COURSE I won’t need a little BIRDIE to tell me that we’ll probably be seeing them for eterniTEE…But I don’t mind…it’s a FAIRWAY to get a cute Jumble into PLAY…
So…Today’s teen FOREsome introduces us to MULLIGAN, the new kid on the BLOCK. Decked out in Jumble regalia….his cap bearing the Signature “J” encircled in a square, his shoes the scripted “J”, and his golf bag reading the word “Jumble”, he stands behind a divot, TEEing off for his first time…and not feeling all that CERTAIN about his ability…Going against his GRAIN so to speak. And between his mouth being FLOPped open, and the way the club is DRAWn to show he’s shaking, you’d think the poor guy had an ALBATROSS around his neck! But as many of you know, he just needs to PLAY THROUGH those first few shots…not be so SHORT SIDED and soon he’ll get the SWING of things, and feel the RELIEF of getting over being GREEN…’Cause all that SCRAMBLE going on right now with his nerves? Just PAR for the COURSE, and they’ll FADE away. Soon he’ll FOREget it all…And that first shot with its “UNCERTAIN-TEE”? Not to worry…I’m SURE he’ll PUTT it all behind him… and PULL through…
Oh… one last thing…This young group of his? GIMME a BREAK! A little too much LIP, if you ask me…I think they need to just SCRATCH the teasing…’cause sometimes one can CONDOR PUSH the wrong button, and we all know that teasing…even the good-natured kind…is a slippery SLOPE…and can quickly go DOWNHILL…

🧮 After finding the ABACUS held together with TWINE , and the how and why seemingly shrouded in UNCERTAINTY, it quickly became a PETTY argument, and fearing an ENCORE performance, they looked for a mediator…🧮

That it would stay intact…and sturdy TWINE kept it secure…
Etched on the base at back it read…”ENCORE and here’s to fate”,
The second line read, “Nick PETTY”…and 1938…
The wood still gleamed as if it new, the color burgundy…
The origin? He had no clue…total UNCERTAINTY! 🤷🏻♂️
A very Happy Birthday wish goes out to the one and only Sir Paul McCartney. Turning 80 today, he put on a show Thursday night that would put a man half his age to shame. And to be joined onstage by both Bruce Springsteen and John Bon Jovi https://tinyurl.com/3azm45fv was as close to a slice of musical Heaven as we may ever see…And the roar of the crowd could be heard all the way here across the Hudson…Cent’ Anni, Sir Paul! 🍷 May you never stop making that sweet, sweet music! 🎶🙋🏻♀️

Being new to the sport,
Will our guy come up short?

Good morning Saturday , end of the week ! This one had to spoil all the jumbles this week ! I felt like it was tied up in TWINE and the jumble answer does not get an ENCORE ! Even using an ABACUS ! Ok , I’ll stop being PETTY , but the answer was definitely left with UNCERTAIN TEE ! I did see TEE and maybe thought of it with some food , but that was clear off the green and into a sand trap ! But it still won’t let me , not , enjoy the whole week of jumbles that we’re awesome ! So I’m yelling FORE ! And am ready for the next round ! Everyone have a great Saturday weekend !!!
Definitely not a blind solve Saturday…and after speedily solving anagrams, was uncertain of the final solution. Guess I pulled TEE out of the letters and placed that at the end (to substitute for a “Y”)… And that did it. Your song was spot on !!!, but not of any of my favorite genre’s. Enjoy your Saturday.

Good morning. No problem with the words. Ever since I failed on Abacus a long time ago I’ve got it’s correct spelling locked in my memory bank and haven’t missed yet. The cartoon answer in quotation marks had me looking up the answer. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.
Yes, it seems we’re back on the course
In the sand, the water, the gorse
Tee-ing off is an art
But it’s where we must start
For the rest of the game it’s the source!
I never was much good at tee-ing off but I can manage the middle range shots and the putting.
I got tee in the cartoon answer but that was it,and I’m an avid golfer.
I got it all quick despite all the letters in the answer and the dreaded quotation marks
Since I’m not a golfer, I always face these golf themed puzzles with trepidation. However, I was able to figure this one out though it did take me some time. The anagrams were easy and I kept studying the dialogue until “uncertain” came to me and then of course “tee” quickly followed. Hope all of you have a Hole – In – One kind of a day. ⛳️
