  1. Good Morning, Everyone…. ⛺️ GROUNDED! ⛺️

🎶 They PAVED PARADISE and put up a parking lot…With a pink hotel, a boutique and a swinging hot spot…Don’t it always seem to go that you don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone…They paved paradise…And put up a parking lot…🎶 “Big Yellow Taxi” – Joni Mitchell 1970 https://tinyurl.com/mvfm2dex

⛺️The landowner was very blunt, he didn’t SKIMP on words,
And it might STRAND our poor camper, upset by what he’s heard…
Takes every OUNCE of strength he has to get his stuff all packed,
He wished there was a BUTTON he could press like in an App
So he could halt destruction that new building does present…
And “Sleepy Bear” could live on…not be part of the PAST “TENTS” ⛺️

Just like the dying embers seen on our extinguished fire, so goes the dreams of our unhappy camper, WOODy. The property owner, a rather POLEarizing sort, and seemingly having a bit of a CHIP on his SMOLDER, has informed him that he can’t be coming there any S’MORE…Because for all inTENTS and purposes, this urban renewal has FIREd up another greedy soul, and it’s leaving WOODy feeling so TENTS…Poor guy, he’s YURT…He really enjoyed camping…it always helped him relieve life’s TENTsion…But I guess he couldn’t see the forest for the fees…

So…Another day of easy, TREEsy words, and a solve that SET itself UP…Our dialogue PITCHED it all…”Bulldozers rolling in”…”I’m going to miss camping here…HAD (PAST) a lot of good times”…And our question giving us “Closing”? …Any talk at this point? PAST “TENTS”…The “SLEEPY Bear 💤💤 Camp Ground” has gone to REST…And the SOLD sign, the other unhappy campers packing up and the bulldozer and crane seen looming large in the background definitely laid the GROUNDwork for this one…

So..There you have it Folks…Done. Be well, stay safe…and I hope our WOODy finds another place to get some alone PINE…⛺️🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤷🏻‍♀️Pushing a STRAND of hair from her eyes, she sat brooding about how they chose to SKIMP an OUNCE here and there..and wondered if she should just BUTTON her lip, lest she be an employee in the PAST TENSE…🤷🏻‍♀️

🤦🏻‍♂️ The Professor was a stuffy sort, a BUTTON-up type man,
With not an OUNCE of humor as he taught the English plan…
He’d SKIMP on any small talk, and he’d sometimes even STRAND,
A student who asked questions if he didn’t understand…
English as second language often doesn’t make much sense…
And to many of the students…they just couldn’t get PAST TENSE! 🤦🏻‍♂️

  3. Good morning Monday , start of the week ! Todays jumble is the perfect reason that I’m hooked on trying to solve these everyday ! The anagrams were there for me and not an OUNCE of trouble ! I didn’t SKIMP on one word ! I just hit the BUTTON and got the STRAND of them ! What a great way to start the week ! The connection with camping was an obvious TENTS and that left PAST cause no future at that campground and that being PAST TENTS ! Great play on words jumble ! Angela , I love that song ! Thanks ! Everyone have a great Monday start of the week !!!

  4. ⛺️ Woody camped out and loved to relax,
Walked the area, made his own tracks…
    Now he’s pulling up camp,
    In his backpack he tamps…
    Memories…’cause he ain’t coming back! ⛺️

🤦🏻‍♂️ Razing woodland and paving the grounds,
Soon tall buildings are what will be found…
    And serenity’s lost,
We ask… but at what cost?
And the sadness is definitely profound…🤦🏻‍♂️

🌲 Soon bulldozers will bring down the trees,
Taking with them nature’s cooling breeze…
    Woody’s left in the lurch,
    ‘Cause of renewal’s curse…
As nature more and more feels the squeeze…🌲

    • I can’t improve on these Angela. Well written! I take it the jumble is about the sale of a private campground. At least with state/national/provincial parks that can’t be done…..we hope!

  5. The Battle of Normandy began on June 6th, 1944. D-Day. On that day, more than 160,000 American, British and Canadian troops landed on five beaches along Normandy, France. The two month battle that ensued resulted in the liberation of Nazi-occupied Western Europe, a turning point in World War II…but the casualties numbered in the thousands. Let us never forget how the bravery and sacrifice made by those soldiers gave us our freedom. 🇺🇸

    • I agree w you,we shall never forget.FYI I had an uncle who was a paratrooper in the invasion and was wounded in the drop, but did survive and live to come home.

  6. Good morning. Nice start of the week from the boys. Looks like they stuck to their idea of not frustrating us right from the beginning on a Monday. It was easy as can be. Not a blind solve but almost. Loved you song choice Angela. I had to listen right away. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Good Morning, Paul. I agree, easy, breezy…I’m sure it was their inTENTion to go easy on us! And thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed the music. Have a good one…and stay safe out there…⛺️🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. Really enjoyed the Blind Solve Monday. Anagrams followed with just a hint of struggle over OUNCE. Don’t quite get the song connection but will listen in just a moment. Angela, thanks for mentioning D-Day…such a historical day !!!

  8. Hi Everyone – I had a rare blind solve because I remembered the recent Jumble puzzle with the rabbits camping in tents. Angela, your song choice and limericks also made me think of John Prine’s “Paradise,” about strip mining.

    • Hi Caroline…And here we are, 50 years later…and still messing with the environment. ⛺️🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. Hi Jumblers ! The anagrams were great and the puzzle was perfect, so cute – it’s been “PAST TENSE” since the last time I was camping – memories I don’t want to “SKIMP” on when I think about times gone by ! Great song Angela – loved it ! Until tomorrow – everyone have a sunny day !
