    🏔 The Grand Canyon is an awesome sight…look down it’s really deep,
    And it’s a favorite tourist spot…with admission just as steep…
    We see Native Americans who lived at the locale,
    Look down from way up on a crest…and can’t help but say..”Wow”!
    A BLEND of awe and fear they feel, with all the open spaces,
    So unlike an old phone BOOTH (yes I know…of all the places)!
    ‘Twas LAWFUL then I’m pretty sure to just go roaming free…
    The Natives dwelled there as far back as the 13th century…
    The Dad here seems to RUDDER…(sorry shudder that should read…
    Too often I make typos when I’m typing with great speed)…
    But getting back on trail with this…where there’s rumors of gold…
    The bottom line, they looked down and exclaimed…”LOW” AND BEHOLD! ⛰

    Ok…So what’s UP with this? Is someone pulling my leg? What is David working from…CRAGslist? I have to be honest, for someone like me, who tends to suffer from severe bouts of vertigo…this is tantamount to a nightmare! And I’m sure I’m not just one in VERMILLION either…Back to back height-related puzzles? Yes, the Grand Canyon is definitely a BUTTE, and yes, it’s amazing, as our Mom is saying…And you have to love that look on Dad’s face… seems he had a bit of a ROCKY start there!   3. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♂️LO AND BEHOLD, when the trouble with the RUDDER began, they wished they could pull off the old seemingly unLAWFUL, “change clothes in the phone BOOTH trick”, and BLEND their combined lack of mechanical talents into a Superman scenario…🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♀️

    🗣 With what was LAWFUL and was not, they sat and talked it out,
    In the BOOTH in their best cafe where friends gathered about…
    The conversation was a BLEND of topics very strange,
    What law allowed, the boat’s RUDDER, and then the Stock Exchange…
    While nothing much was settled though…the time it did unfold…
    And when they saw how late it grew…they said “LO AND BEHOLD”….🗣

  4. Good morning Wednesday hump-day ! I’m gonna be short today ! The anagrams were right there for me , but the jumble I did not see ! I felt like my thinking was in the Grand Canyon !   7. The answer took me a very long time. I thought the last word would be “Hollow,” but the rest didn’t make sense. I made a list of 3-letter words but Low wasn’t on it. Finally, Low came to mind along with the rest of the expression.
    Funny puns, Angela, with Cragslist being my favorite. Wishing all a good day.

  8. Started out Hump-Day without a blind solve, then unscrambled anagrams to find no answer appearing in my brain. I started to think….then think some more…then think again…still nothing. But as Angela says, keep plugging away, looking for clues and voila !!! After about five minutes it did come to me. How, I don’t know. Enjoyed the tuneful song. Enjoy the day and stay cool.

  9. The cartoon clue was tough. I came up with the shadow solution BAD END HOLLOW. the river had hollowed out the land, and the explorers had hit a bad end, because one more step and Yiii!

  10. Seems to me that WLAUFL is 6 letters so why is the solution (unscrambled) AWFUL with only 5 letters?

    • The word is LAWFUL…I’m not sure what you’re referring to…🤷🏻‍♀️

  11. Apart from lawful looking like awful an easy mid week day, though a rainy one here in Illinois. But w the arrival of June summer is almost here.

    • 1 more comment on the canyon,after graduating from bottom and climbed back out after dark and didn’t reach the rim until almost 2 AM.

  12. Clever puzzle this morning. No problem with the anagrams. The quotation marks made me study the dialogue closely and was able to come up with the cartoon answer. Happy Wednesday all!
