Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…
🏃🏻♂️ IT’S ALL ABOUT RESISTING A REST! 🏃🏻♂️
🏃🏻♂️A shade over the marker of mile 26,
You pray that there’s no GROUT thrown in along the long route’s mix…
It hardly would be FUNNY, and def would cause a slip,
If one encountered debris that would maybe make one trip…
The road is long so it’s UNWISE to not set up a pace,
It’s proven that it’s stamina that wins this type of race
And should you be the lucky one…the medal to have won…
You’ll have the LAVISH finish worth it all IN THE LONG RUN! 🏃🏻♂️
April 18th…Patriot’s Day https://tinyurl.com/3f6fsa9d in Massachusetts, and the 126th Boston Marathon’s https://tinyurl.com/4b7yjynf being held in Hopkington…So our puzzle today is right on track…And with stamina being the key to any LONG distance RUN, our winner’s dialogue has set the pace for a perfect solve…It’s not only speed that brings home the coveted Unicorn medal and the olive branch wreath crown…IN THE LONG RUN, https://tinyurl.com/2p8f8tb2 it’s the steadfastness that wins out…
And what we’re seeing today is a reenactment of last year’s race, https://tinyurl.com/47bz3ecf where Benson Kipruto, shown being interviewed by a reporter from station BOS, was crowned the winner with a time of 2:09:51. The two other runners shown bearing numbers 19 and 54? We’re given another homage to the Jumble’s start..and while it’s had a really good RUN for its money these past 68 years, here’s hoping it’s nowhere near the FINISH LINE…And if that’s David we see wearing #54? A tip of the cap. He may not have come in first, but he’ll always be a winner in my eyes…
So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, stay safe and always keep your eyes on the prize…🥇🙋🏻♀️

I have run 3 marathons. I never won but I didn’t come in last…………….
I did a lot of triathlons and found that the best use of my muscles…
Mig has fun
Good morning , start of the week Monday ! What a great way to start the week off ! The anagrams were very there , except , and I hope I’m not alone on this , but my wisdom couldn’t figure it out and I was UNWISE ! But everything else was something to LAVISH . It’s FUNNY how the rest of the jumble flowed so smooth as GROUT would make it ! The jumble brought back memories of living in Boston and how interesting the Boston Marathon was ! It definitely required stamina to cross the finish IN THE LONG RUN ! Great start to the week ! Everyone have a wonderful Monday !!!
Good Morning, Jim. Wishing you the same. 🏃🏻♂️🙋🏻♀️
Good morning. Today’s jumble didn’t disappoint me. Not a blind solve but easy as the words were. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.
Good Morning, Paul. Hoping you’re staying the same. 🏃🏻♂️🙋🏻♀️
Breezed to victory in the Jumble but now have the Eagles’ song: “The Long Run” is now stuck in my head. Still windy on the Great Plains but needed rain and then a warmup to finish off the week. Hoping all have a great week at work or play!
Same to you, OO. 🏃🏻♂️🙋🏻♀️
My blind solve came up with ON THE RACE DAY….seemed to make sense, but wasn’t to be. Speedy anagrams led to the correct answer. Yes, as an artist, it’s nice to add little frills, some even secret, to your art work…just like Al Hirschfeld weaved his daughter’s name NINA into his paintings for NY Times. Angela, have you stopped adding songs?? Have a great start to the week.
Just battling the blues, Terry. Not feeling up to things…🤷🏻♀️
I hope things look a bit brighter for you soon Angela. The weather and cold temps don’t help, especially on Easter Monday. Mid-April and it’s freezing here in S Ont. with wet snow falling just now. Thank you for your daily work on the jumble website. It is always illuminating and uplifting.
I have just been reading in Nat Geo, about Roosevelt Ave in the borough of Queens, where approximately 300 languages are spoken. Will have to try to get there next time I am in NYC.
Thank you, Helen 🙋🏻♀️
After yesterday’s jumble I hope everyone is enjoying their half-price chocolate today, perhaps making it a chocolate marathon.
Today’s limerick:
Though the runner’s not given to boast
It’s strategy that matters the most
Hang back with the pack
Then tear up the track
If you want to be first past the post!
A near blind solve on Boston Marathon Monday.I thought the first word was on rather than in but needing the O for long corrected that error.
Finished the Jumble Marathon in record time this morning – very appropriate puzzle for today. Hope you all have a first rate day.
