🎶 Doctor, my eyes…Tell me what is wrong…Was I unwise to leave them open for so long?…🎶..”Doctor My Eyes” – Jackson Browne 1972 https://tinyurl.com/yc38a429
🤷🏻♀️The Website goes by “Happy Doc”, right there one should take pause,
But ODDLY a man sits and reads…there really should be laws…
The advice being given, it’s pure DRIVEL that’s a lock,
One wonders how the site’s STAFF gets away with such a crock…
No PELVIS is the issue, digestion is on tap,
And it’s cat litter being pushed…unreal with this claptrap!
No wonder that his wife’s upset, she’s right to criticize…
Her husband for his foolishness…getting so ILL- ADVISED! 🤷🏻♀️
So for today’s anagrams, we’re PRESCRIBED a double DOSE of old and a double DOSE of new. DOYDL was seen last year, while FATSF goes back to 2014. And it was PELVIS that turned a few STOMACHS with the Early Birds…It took a while for them to fully DIGEST it…But the solve? Once again it was easy, breezy…just what the Doctor ordered…
Ok, our cartoon. I’m going with northern Florida…And we see our couple, who I’ll dub Russell and Julie, discussing the ILLS of the Internet. It seems Russell’s dealing with some digestive issues, and he’s decided to seek the ADVICE of an online medical site called “Happy Doc”…and what a crock! And as he’s relaying to Julie the cat litter suggestion, she can be heard telling him that he needs to make a FELINE, I mean a beeline to his doctor…and stop his foolishness. Cat litter! PAWSitively ridiculous! It’s SICK! He’s definitely being…ILL-ADVISED.
…And we have an I ❤️ Jumble Mug, a palm tree, and a smiley face emoji on the screen, where the words…”Click here for more medical offers”…can be seen….They gotta be KITTEN!
So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one…Be well, stay safe…and if you’re going to consult the Internet for medical advice…don’t be taken in by these inFURior sites…you’ll never end up FELINE any better…🤒🙋🏻♀️
The puzzle of August 12th, 2016. The question: “Following his friend’s advice instead of seeing his doctor was”…The solve: ILL-ADVISED! https://tinyurl.com/2p8wknzy
🤷🏻♂️He should have realized that he was being ILL-ADVISED by the STAFF, as soon as they started ODDLY handing him the DRIVEL about Elvis The PELVIS! 🤷🏻♂️
🙇🏻♂️ The PELVIS was the subject they’d be speaking ‘bout today,
He thought it mostly DRIVEL, and he put his book away…
And ODDLY he just sat there looking ‘round at all the STAFF,
As they went over diagrams and all the many graphs…
It only lasted so long though…for soon he was chastised…
The instructor told him his actions were surely ILL-ADVISED! 🙇🏻♂️
Welcome thirsty-Thursday ! How about a cup of coffee “ I love jumble “ ! Well that didn’t help ! I couldn’t get up and walk to the third word cause my PELVIS hurt ! Hardly ever used the fourth word , left me with DRIVEL ! So oddly enough the jumble STAFF had a couple or at least one ILL ADVISED anagrams ! I got Valid , Deal , Lead , and Tried my last , but this one I was ILL ADVISED ! Well everyone have a lemonade or a soft drink and enjoy your Thursday !!!!
Enjoy yours too, Jim. 🙋🏻♀️
I was Ill-advised to think today’s Jumble was going to be easy after the first two anagrams. Oddly, I will spare you and your Staff the Drivel that shook me to my Pelvis. Suffice to say, I chased the puzzle solution to no avail. Cold again today but highs in the 50s and 60s next week.Do we dare think Spring? Happy birthday to Rupert Holmes, known for the Pina Colada song. That’s an earworm that may drive me (more) crazy.
👍🏻🙋🏻♀️
Like other unsuccessful Jumblers this morning….I am adding my name to the group that couldn’t unscramble squat-all this morning and was left searching for answers to my malfunctioning brain !!!
It started with PELVIS (had to look that one up)…and then thinking first three letters of cartoon solution might be DIS. There’s hope for me yet, as I figured out Wordle in four tries. Anyway, after a humbling Jumble morning, I, too, will be looking for the Pina Colada mix, to make my morning seem brighter !!! Talk to you on TGIF….and it’s still cold (in the 30’s) in central Texas.
👍🏻🙋🏻♀️
Good morning. So far today it seems like everybody had trouble with Pelvis. I also fell victim to it. Once I put down the letters from the words, after awhile I was able to get its conclusion. Enjoyed it as well as your song choice Angela. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.
Good Morning, Paul. Tks…and hoping you’re staying well and safe too. 🖥🙋🏻♀️
🖥 With the Internet’s info…great wealth…
But be cautious when dealing with health…
There’s just too much fake news,
And your health? Don’t abuse…
You need good advice under your belt! 🖥
🤷🏻♀️ His digestion has him on the edge,
“Happy Doc” though…he def needn’t dredge…
That cat litter?…No way!
So we hear Julie say…
“Comes to health…no, your bets you can’t hedge”! 🤷🏻♀️
🤷🏻♂️If you’re feeling sick and need relief,
Random websites that are within reach?
They can steer you so wrong,
Lead you to a swan song….
Beware…Cat litter? Far from belief! 🤷🏻♂️
Very playful Jumble. Finding ILL was the key for me. But like the Early Birds (good to see them back) and others here, I had trouble with Pelvis and had to back in. I confess to being an internet medical researcher.
Tks, Caroline, it’s good to have them back. And Pelvis definitely looks like the stumper! 🖥🙋🏻♀️
This limerick is very similar to the first of yours Angela! Bonne journée!
The internet’s a world of its own
It thinks it knows everything known
But do be aware
If you’re trying to repair
Any part of your body’s zone!
Wishing you a good day too, Helen! 🖥🙋🏻♀️
“Oddly” enough this jumble was fun to do, as they all are. Some more challenging than others but then I sit my “pelvis” down and force my mind to work ! What fun !
Hoping this day is a bright and shining day for you all – – until tomorrow !
Wishing you the same, Suz…🖥🙋🏻♀️
I,along w many others was stumped by the cartoon jumble, after pausing on drivel and pelvis.Must be a Thursday Jumble.
👍🏻🙋🏻♀️
Other than a pause at drivel, the rest of the anagrams were a quick solve. Like Caroline, I saw “ILL” right away so “Advised” followed logically. Wishing all of you a healthy day.
And wishing you the same, Betty. 🖥🙋🏻♀️
Interesting that I got the solution using a completely different word than pelvis. I used spivel (meaning to dig and turn at the same time) and was surprised when I checked the answer. I thought there was a cute play on clue words with drivel and spivel but alas, no. I wonder how many times that has happened in the past where you could get the solution using a different word????
Hi Cyndi. The rule of thumb with the Jumble is that David only uses words that appear in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. As you can see, Spivel doesn’t. In fact I had a hard time just now trying to get it to print here…it kept getting flagged by autocorrect. And yes, there been occasions where a person had “incorrect” letters as far as the chosen words had gone and yet was still able to get the solve. Thank you for commenting Cyndi, and have a good one. 🙋🏻♀️
Good Morning, Everyone.. 🤒 WORLD WIDE EBB? 🤒
