    🧽 You have to stop and wonder is he paying them enough,
    Or has he made some promises of paying on the cuff…
    Whatever the agreement, the older PERSON seems,
    To be a little tense about the time spent by these teens…
    He wants his car done, sleek and SMOOTH, before it may turn dark,
    He’s hoping they don’t SCORCH him, but he’s looking for a spark…
    So whether he’s a FRUGAL man, or FOSSIL-like in thought,
    He’s really hoping they finish the lunch that they have brought…
    (And while HAIRDO won’t make the cut)…As they sit there and munch?…
    This guy need cool his engines…till they’ve both POLISHED OFF LUNCH!🧽

    Today’s words bring us four new anagrams, with SOMHOT having been seen earlier this year, and GLURFA going alllll the way back to 1956! Yes, 1956! Yikes! Now that’s something to MUNCH ON, don’t you think? And the only word that I think may pose a slight BRAKE in the action this morning could be SCORCH…unless you kept in mind that “SC” lead-in that I’ve often SChooled you on…But as for the solve? With the can of wax, the applicator pads, the glove, and the SHINY rays emanating from the half FINISHed roof; the SPOT on dialogue…”FINISH WAXING…this afterNOON”…and “ALMOST DONE EATING”…plus our question giving us…”BACK TO WAXING”?…Well, you AUTO seen this one coming… I BIT…and POLISHED this one OFF at a single glance…They’d get back to work after they…POLISHED OFF LUNCH! https://tinyurl.com/444rw7zf …BRILLIANT!…So…did you CHEWS the same method to solve?

    Jeff’s Gems? I like how the rear view mirror is turned inward…good move when waxing a car…Plus cute touch that our teens are POLISHING OFF their lunch with that bag of chips…vegetables are so important to a balanced diet…And you had to figure that the wax would be the “Jumble” brand. But what caught my eye besides the small vent window, was what’s seen inside the car…and not just the bench seats…If you look real closely, you can see a window crank…And when was the last time we’ve seen one of those? I guess that’s why our guy doesn’t bring his car to a Car Wash…it’s vintage, and he probably doesn’t trust having it leave his SITE…Let’s face it, with something as valuable as this, there’s no need taking a chance opening up that can of WAX…I mean worms…

    So…There you have it Folks, Done! Have a good one…Be well, stay safe…and here’s hoping we all get to SHINE today…🧽🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 💇🏻‍♀️ She sat, POLISHED OFF LUNCH, and watched the small town hairdresser SMOOTH down the HAIRDO of the woman with the SCORCH on her scalp, and wondered how this FOSSIL-like shop even stayed in business…was every PERSON in this town just downright FRUGAL? 💇🏻‍♀️

    🤷🏻‍♀️ The story about FOSSIL fuels just went over their heads,
    They thought the lector way too SMOOTH, a PERSON not well bred…
    She had a SCORCH mark on her hand, her HAIRDO far from chic,
    They got just what they paid for…being FRUGAL left things bleak…
    They’re definitely getting nowhere, and they all had the same hunch…
    That she’d be gone…most likely soon as they had POLISHED OFF LUNCH! 🤷🏻‍♀️

  5. It’s Sunday Funday ! This was a flip-flop , the words were not SMOOTH , I got stuck on three of them , the jumble I got pretty quick ! The first word I got was LUNCH, then I saw the synonym for waxing and I got POLISHED , then the light came on , I mean OFF ! Everyone have a Funday Sunday !!!

  7. This one took me a long time. I couldn’t even come up with the 3-letter word. I tried Shine and Full and was missing only an i for Finished. Finally, trying to make words with P, the obvious word Polished came to mind. Very clever answer!

Not too difficult of a puzzle this morning…First thought was FINISHED but they used that word in the cartoon…then the bright lights hit and POLISH came up, and we quickly added the last two words for the blind solve. Anagrams speedily unscrambled to check answer…so all in all, a great Sunday Jumble. A song about a car wash??? Only in American Pop Culture !!! Enjoy your day

  10. Good morning. I thoroughly enjoyed today’s jumble. It took me forever to get five of the words but I refused to give up.The cartoon answer took much less time to get. I saw lunch then off and the remaining letters gave me the rest. I laughed at your song choice Angela. Couldn’t think of a better one. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.
