My friends and I, all being trivia buffs, are big on quoting classic movie lines on a regular basis. Today’s tried and true words bring us a split decision with our anagrams, as KEISR and PRETIM are making their Jumble debut. And if I had to take a guess at what word might be a pain in the back, I mean the neck this morning? Hmm…Tough call…and I’d hate to be SORELY MISTAKEN…
Our cartoon today is showing us a man, “PALL”, who’s bent over in pain, because he was MISTAKEN in thinking he could lift that heavy box we see without the help of his dolly…No, not his wife, she’s Shirley…I mean the hand truck…you know the dolly…Anyway, as a result of a classic case of the spirit being willing, but the flesh weak…we see that he’s hurt himself…and now he’s SORE…not to mention SORELY MISTAKEN. (Phrase: DEFINITION: to be completely wrong)…And I can’t help but wonder how the rest of their conversation went…Shirley: “Well now what? How bad is the pain…can you handle it”? Pall: Sighing..”It’s SPINE, it’s SPINE”…But from that annoyed look on Shirley’s face? She’s probably thinking…”Yeah, right…KNOT this again”…
The Gems? The box took a hit, but Pall’s Christmas sweater is a cute touch…There’s a horse-drawn sleigh, some fir trees, and a Snowman…vintage scenes that bring BACK memories…
So… There you have it Folks, Done. Have a great day…Be well, stay safe… and if you don’t find today’s puzzle as easy as I did, well… then I STAND CORRECTED! 🙋🏻♀️

I’m very pleased with today’s jumble . I got the words easy and I didn’t even need a PERMIT ! When I solved the jumble , I screamed YAHOO ! This one made me LOOSEN up about the previous tough jumbles . All this rain we’re having ! If it turns into that 4-letter word (snow) ! I will not be a SKIER ! Ok the jumble reminded me a lot of when we moved 2 houses and I did a lot of lifting boxes and my wife would say “let me help you “ and I said , while holding my side “no I can get it” but I was SORELY MISTAKEN, but I’ve learned since then ! Like others, a half-blind solve this morning….We were looking over puzzle cartoon and I posed a question about maybe his back was sore….giving us SORELY and then Marsha’s lightbulb came on with MISTAKEN. Words were a snap…so a nice rainy Saturday morning solve. She liked Cher’s song, too.

Twin visitation day in Dixon,followed by a jaunt to Naperville to see our other little granddaughters,Marla and Alice.But before our journey start , I had a quick solve of the anagrams, after a pause on permit ,then after arriving in Dixon,a blind solve of mistaken,quickly followed by the complete ‘sorely mistaken’ solution.Dixon had an overnight dusting of snow on the grassy surfaces,and parked vehicles,first snow I’ve seen in Illinois.
