  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🍕 THE SOUNDS OF SILENCE?🍕

🎶 Yeah…Take another little PIZZA my heart now Baby…🎶 “Piece of My Heart” – (with apologies to) Janis Joplin 1968 https://tinyurl.com/5azwnau8

🍕Her kids just thrive on being loud, a HABIT with this lot,
They DRENCH themselves in lots of noise…but to Mom it’s just not…
What she needs right now, ‘cause she’s beat…and PURIFY she would,
The cacophony engulfing her…a blessing if she could…
If only there would be one day, where she’d feel like a QUEEN,
And just relax and make believe that she had time to preen
Alas, it’s not her lot in life…these kids they cause a riot…
But how she longs for just one meal…where there’d be “PIECE” AND QUIET! 🍕

If you recall, we just saw some Pizza not long ago, in the puzzle of November 21st.. https://tinyurl.com/2p8cmzex But its ok with me…I FOLD easily when it comes to Pizza…So, todays MENU is SERVING up all new anagrams! SAVOR the moment! And despite them all being new, the Early Birds SUNK THEIR TEETH right into them…As for the solve? With “keep it down” in the dialogue, and “noisy” in the question? = QUIET. And the PIECEs of pizza pictured? This one was a a PIECE of PIE!

Our cartoon? There’s a lot going on here today…and it’s coming up a little half-BAKED…The game the oldest child’s referring to? Football…In that tiny living room!…And we can see the aftermath…the armchair cushions completely trashed, the lampshade askew, the carpet disheveled with a football lying on it, and a strewn jersey reading 00 to the left of it…Boy, these kids definitely SPICE things up, don’t they? Talk about CRUST! And then there’s the table. Three diners, two glasses…no napkins…And what’s up with eating the pizza without folding it? And speaking of the pizza… Let’s do the math…Four slices being eaten, five left in the box?.. It just EIGHT right…But Mom? Now she rings true…We definitely got to see a SLICE of her life…The poor woman looks exhausted…I mean I’m sure she aDOUGHS her kids, but no matter how you SLICE it, let’s not PIZZA around the bush here…If anyone KNEADS some “PIECE” AND QUIET…it’s she…

So, There you have it Folks, (WELL) DONE!…Have a SLICE day…Be well, stay safe…and I hope I’m LEAVEN you with a smile…It’s the YEAST I can do! 🍕🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🙇🏻‍♂️ As was his HABIT, he longed for some PEACE AND QUIET and wished he could DRENCH and PURIFY his thoughts after being forced to listen to QUEEN for hours on end…🙇🏻‍♂️

🐝 The assignment was to study the HABIT of the QUEEN,
This course he took on beekeeping was more than it had seemed…
The rain and the humidity, the DRENCH he did endure,
This being outdoors wasn’t what he planned to sign up for
To PURIFY the honey that would help him with his diet…
Was too much work…and he just wanted rest and PEACE AND QUIET! 🐝

  3. Fun J today!
I had no trouble with the anagrams or the solution…..
Let’s see what tomorrow brings, eh?

  4. It’s ‘hump-day’ ! Heading into the weekend ! Today’s jumble was really fun ! It’s getting to be a HABIT lately . I don’t feel a DRENCH with the last few . Now what I’d like to do is PURIFY my comments to make them enjoyable to read ! I showed it to my wife , the QUEEN and having fun with all the comments ! Wow , I knew that the word PIECE award going to come up in the jumble , but I thought of Peace first and it didn’t fit cause the last three letters left after QUIET award IDN , so I had to PIECE air together , and I got it ! Well everyone have a great start to the weekend ! And “Peace Out “ !!!

  5. Good morning. Another successful day No problem with either the words or cartoon answer. You gave me a laugh when I saw your song choice Angela. She gets the juices flowing. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • LOL! Good Morning, Paul…Yes…that she does! Have a good one…Be well and stay safe out there…🍕🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Easy solve this morning, but no blind solve. Took a quick look down the anagrams and saw a Q involved….and was misguided that first word had a Q in it…what could that be?? Not QUIET for sure. Maybe QUITE?? Probably not. Oh well. Unscrambled anagrams and saw answer right away, but was wrong on the first word…and where the QUIET was. See you Thursday. BTW…I don’t do Janis Joplin, but am sure she fits into your morning.

  7. Yes, that’s what Mom wanted. “PIECE” AND QUIET. She certainly didn’t want a “QUIET” PIE DANCE. With all those kids dancing and horsing around, we will see just how “QUIET” they really are.

  8. Easy anagrams today and a blind solve. The mother, aka Queen of the house, has a Habit of seeking Piece And Quiet to Purify herself after the boys Drench the household in noise. A school chum came from a family of 7 rowdy boys and often the neighbor ladies pitched in to help her get some rest, First snow of the season on tap this week. Here we go!

  9. A limerick that mirrors the action in the jumble:

    Kids, I know you’re having a riot
But that noise – I just don’t buy it
    It’s your time to eat
While I put up my feet
And enjoy some peace and quiet!

  10. 🤦🏻‍♀️ You hear people say boys will be boys,
But these kids ruined the house with their toys…
    Besides making a mess,
To give poor Mom more stress…
They’ve done it with way too much noise! 🤦🏻‍♀️

🤷🏻‍♀️ Raising three sons is no piece of cake,
Each day leaving havoc in their wake…
So Mom told them to eat,
    While she made a retreat…
She needs peace and quiet to partake…🤷🏻‍♀️

🍕 After playing football in the house,
Mom is hoping some pizza will douse…
    Her boys’ energy,
    She’s exhausted you see…
And she’s trying so hard not to grouse! 🍕

  11. Today marks the 41st Anniversary of John Lennon’s murder. A voice silenced way too young. RIP, John. 🙏🏻

  12. One of the easiest ones I’ve seen in years. Knew the answer before I even started on the words.

    • That’s what I’m HEARING from a lot of people, Ronald! Have a good one! ⚖️🙋🏻‍♀️
