  1. Good Morning, Everyone…. 🦅AS THE CROW FLIES🦅

🎶 BLACKBIRD singing in the dead of night……Take these broken wings and learn to fly…All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to arise…🎶 “Blackbird” – The Beatles 1968 https://tinyurl.com/2p8m5y2j

🦅 They’re waiting for their friends, perhaps they scour through some trash,
POTATO here, a WAFER there…to them it’s all food cash…
No ROOKIE here, so I def know these large glossy black birds,
Of course are crows, and they don’t CEASE to offer us their words
Zagreb we’re told is where they are? Just Google it why don’tcha…
They’re Crows…it stands to reason that they’re waiting in “CROW-ATIA”!🦅

In keeping with what seems to have become the norm, the one old anagram for today is SACEE, last seen in April. And believe it or not, it was POTATO that CAWsed an Early Bird or two to blink… actually it really took the STARCH out of one of them…But the solve? Didn’t ruffle a feather…

Finding ourselves at the landmark Zagreb Cathedral, https://tinyurl.com/ynve3k75 , where two tourists can be seen taking a picture, we have our two “large, glossy, black birds” – crows – awaiting the arrival of their fine feathered friends, flying in from Hungary and Serbia. And since our two hosts are living in Zagreb https://tinyurl.com/2p8vd4df …to them, it’s the capital of “CROW-ATIA”! …And this one definitely CAWsed me to laugh!

So…There you have it Folks, Done. Have a good one. Be well, stay safe…and I guess this puzzle proves that crows always stick together…I think they call it velCROW…🦅🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. ⚾️ He’d never been to CROATIA, but wonders never CEASE, so the Baseball ROOKIE figured POTATO, patato…as he sat looking over his contract while eating a WAFER…⚾️

🤷🏻‍♂️Electronics his career choice, the ROOKIE really green,
Learned things like what a WAFER does…something he’d never seen…
He used a hard POTATO to try to hone his skill,
He wouldn’t CEASE his studying, there was no time to chill
The stress he put upon himself…caused him to get rosacea…
And let’s be real here…there’s no way this applies to CROATIA! 🤷🏻‍♂️

  3. Good morning and welcome to Saturday ! Today’s jumble was so cool ! I didn’t have one word that made me CEASE ! You’re not dealing with a ROOKIE here ! Well my wife is home today and we’ll probably go get a POTATO to eat with a WAFER ! One of my favorite bands of all time is the 4 from Liverpool 🎵 blackbird singing in the dead of night 🎵 take these broken wings and learn to fly , all your life ,🎵 blackbird fly 🎵 (Beatles 1968) love it !! I just had a feeling that CROW would fly at me , then the letters left were easy to connect as a country ! This one was great and fun ! Everybody have a great weekend !!

  4. Some of your jumble words have more than one possible answer! Such as today TPAOOT could have been patoot or potato

  5. They’re implying that Zagreb is the capital of CROW-ATIA, as though the place belongs to the crows, like it’s for the birds. One could just as well refer to Crow-Magnon, a species of human. And if the number of crows in the country gets bigger than shown, I don’t think the people of Zagreb would appreciate A CAW RIOT in their city.

  6. Good morning. Enjoyed today’s jumble. I was able to get both parts with not much difficulty. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

  7. For these birds with plumage aglow
Crow-atia is THE place to go
    From east or from west
    In Zagreb there’s a nest
For the savvy crow in the know.

  8. 🦅 With birds of a feather well known,
Stands to reason why these birds have flown…
    Yes, it’s murder we know,
Name of a group of crows…
And I’m sure they were helped by a foehn! 🦅

🇭🇷 Glossy black are these large birds we see,
    Flying towards the camaraderie…
    Meeting here in Zagreb,
Where they’ll form their own web…
And together they’ll live happily! 🇭🇷

🎥 Alfred Hitchcock would revel with glee,
In Croatia, if only he’d see…
    This murder of crows,
    Gathered where the wind blows…
What a great movie plot it would be! 🎥

  9. Very easy blind solve today. And one of my favorite songs of all time by the greatest band ever. Small point…The title is simply “Blackbird”.

  10. Always thought that was one of the prettier songs by the Beatles! Blind solve. Saw patoot too, just because it was so easy to see, but knew the letters would not work. Have a great weekend! ☺️

    • I think we all did today, Ronald. Definitely an easy, breezy one! And very clever! Have a good one! 🇭🇷🙋🏻‍♀️

  11. Potato stumped me big time, then didn’t get the Croatia reference so was stumped by the cartoon puzzle as well.No blind solve or any solve for me.Plus I had to take my car 150 miles back to the selling dealer today to get my battery attended to,that had me stranded earlier in the week, fortunately in my garage !

  12. Blind solve and easy anagrams made this a swell Saturday morning…BTW, Marsha and I were planning trip to Zagreb and other nearby sites in March 2020… but cancelled due to Covid….gotta replan that trip!! See you Sunday

  13. Blackbird is a great song by the Beatles, attributed to Lennon and McCartney, but one that was written by Paul. Angela – your reference caused me to look it up and Paul said at one point apparently said it was not about a blackbird, but a metaphor for a black women in the South at that time: “I had in mind a black woman, rather than a bird. Those were the days of the civil rights movement, which all of us cared passionately about, so this was really a song from me to a black woman, experiencing these problems in the States: “Let me encourage you to keep trying, to keep your faith; there is hope.” So, I learned 2 things today…the meaning of the song and the fact that Zagreb is the capital of Croatia. 🙂 Have a good Saturday!

    • It’s been mentioned here many a time that people find themselves gaining knowledge that wasn’t expected. Fun-based education! David’s mission in life! 😉 https://tinyurl.com/ysuass5w Glad you enjoyed it, Brad…and a good Saturday to you too! 🇭🇷🙋🏻‍♀️

  14. Just by looking at the picture, I knew it right there and then. CROW-ATIA, how cute. 😁😄

  15. I think we’ve all done enough CROWing today about how easy the solution was.
More crow facts – two of the largest murders of crows emerge every year in Chatham in SW Ontario and Auburn NY, in the Finger Lakes are, a pretty little town, one I know quite well. No one is sure of the reason for this. Any ideas?
