  1. Good Morning, Everyone šŸ†“ COMIC RELIEF? šŸ†“

šŸŽ¶ If I could ESCAPE…..And recreate a place as MY OWN WORLD…And I could be your favorite girl…Forever, perfectly together…And tell me, boy, now wouldn’t that be sweet?..šŸŽ¶ ā€œThe Sweet Escapeā€ – Gwen Stefani (ft) Akon 2006 https://tinyurl.com/65nd8n9d

šŸ†“The trials of those teenage years, they do disturb the peace…
Oft times flying by seats of pants…like wayward flocks of GEESE..
Where KHAKI is a neutral tone, there’s neutral happening here,
Luann is still soul-searching, and to readers, it’s endeared..
Nothing’s set in CEMENT right now, no answers coming SNAPPY,
But a break from doing homework, yes, now that makes Luann happy
If only all the teenage angst…like this fait accompli?
How great, right…if that’s all it took…hitting THE ESCAPE KEY! šŸ†“

We kick off Guest Jumbler week in the company of the illustrious Mr. Greg Evans, and his daughter, Karen. Mr Evans, a winner of the prestigious Reuben award, has been writing and drawing Luann since 1985, and it’s still relevant, charming, and entertaining to readers of all ages. Here’s a little background in his own words… https://tinyurl.com/y272xe8v And here’s a rundown of the characters that bring the Evans’s comic strip to life… https://tinyurl.com/s4adk58

So, Luann. We find her sitting at her laptop..History, Math and Science books nearby….Which seems a little odd, since she’s now attending the local junior college where she’s studying Introductory Art and Chemistry…Hmm…Could it just be a bit of Greg’s whimsy, giving us the Gem just to see if we did our due diligence and researched his comic strip? Could be…But as far as our solve goes? It’s pretty obvious that Luann, hoping to GET AWAY from that homework, her hand on that KEY-BORED…simply reached for…THE ESCAPE KEY…

So, There you have it Folks, Done. Have a good one. Be well, stay safe…and our special thanks to Greg Evans and Karen Evans for getting our 9th Annual Guest Jumbler Week off to such a great start! šŸ†“šŸ™‹šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

  2. šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø After being startled by the low-flying GEESE, and accidentally walking onto the freshly poured CEMENT in her SNAPPY new KHAKI wedges, she wished she could hit THE ESCAPE KEY and start the day overā€¦šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

šŸŽ® The game had just come out today, and gamers all were happy,
They’d all be looking to get one, and moving need be SNAPPY…
With GEESE featured and CEMENT shoes, it definitely held attention,
One had to keep the geese afloat… something about suspension…
    It came in KHAKI-colored wrap…to Florida they’d flee…
This flock of geese, and cement shoes…Game’s called THE ESCAPE KEY! šŸŽ®

  3. Good šŸŽ¶ Monday morning , so good to me šŸŽµ Monday morning it was I hoped it would be šŸŽ¶ except for the weather snd the Browns ! So good day everyone and let’s start the week in a positive KEY ! I the anagrams were nice , GEESE flew right at me ! I clicked my fingers and got SNAPPY . I must’ve been thinking about water rafting to get me away from this cold weather, so I can get in my ā€œkiahkā€ , so I thought , but I had to put on my KHAKI jacket and reality on the spelling. So when I saw the letters of the jumble, I saw ESCAPE, then KEY came and the letters that were left were EHT , well THE was there and that was the KEY ! Everyone have a great day and no homework !!!

  4. šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø When the time comes for hitting the books,
Some resist it come hook or by crook…
    And Luann’s had enough,
    Studying got too rough…
She escaped without a second look!šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

šŸ–Œ So Greg Evans decided to pen,
A comic strip lo way back when…
And he gave it a whirl,
    Found him the ideal girl…
And it’s been a fan favorite since then! šŸ–Œ

šŸ“† Jumbler Week is off to a great start,
Five more artists will all do their part…
They will bring out their best,
    We await all the rest…
ā€˜Cause it’s fun to sample the new art! šŸ“†

šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø Every year we hear the story told,
Jeff and David have put things on hold…
    They’ve escaped for a week,
R and R do they seek?
Just how did this whole rumor unfold? šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

šŸ”  Back to Luann…and angst of a teen,
    O’er the years there’s so much that we’ve seen…
She’s grown up ā€˜fore our eyes,
    So it’s not a surprise…
That she’d finally make Jumble’s scene! šŸ”

  5. For youth in front of the keys
The homework is rarely a breeze
    The escape key she’ll hit
To sneak out for a bit
And then hope the screen will just freeze!

  6. Good morning. After awhile I came up with the answer to the cartoon and thought it didn’t fit until maybe five minutes later it clicked in my head like she pushed my key. It’s perfect. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Good Morning, Paul. Wishing you the same… Have a good one. šŸ†“šŸ™‹šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

  7. This morning’s Jumble flew past me like I had never unscrambled Jumbles before !!! Oh well…it started with no blind solve and stymied me with forgetting how to spell KHAKI. And so disappointing because it was all so easy. Am usually not to fond of Guest Week, but today was very clever and easily solvable for the majority of Jumblers, I would have to say. Have a great start to the week.

  8. Anagrams went quickly, even the multiple ‘E’ geese.”The” was the obvious first 3 letter cartoon solution,as was the last word,”key”.I was thinking space for the middle word, but had an extra ‘E’,so eventually, escape came to mind.Enjoy the cold Monday morning.

    • Hoping you’re enjoying your day too, Professor! šŸ†“šŸ™‹šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

  9. I always enjoy Guest Jumblers week so was happy to see it in this morning’s paper. I thought it was a clever puzzle. Happy Monday to all!

  10. This is my 3rd try to write a comment. I must be hitting a hidden ESCAPE key on my iPhone … here goes.
Easy solved anagrams. However I t took me some time to come up with ESCAPE. I quickly wrote down THE and the letter K gave me KEY but the remaining 6 letters were so common in 5 letter words but none for a 6 letter until after peace, space, cepes, capes and finally scape that gave me the missing word.
This morning the ground and roofs were all white… HELP! I want to escape to the Florida condo!!! Darn Covid!!!
Let’s pray that we will enjoy a kind winter!
    Christian

    • Christian…that happens to me sometimes too…there’s a delay in Word Press showing the comments…The main KEY was theā€GET AWAYā€ = ESCAPE…Very clever…And I’m definitely with you on the prayersā€¦šŸ™šŸ» Have a good one, Christian…Be well and stay safe out thereā€¦šŸ†“šŸ™‹šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

  11. Usually find the guest Jumblers interesting and today’s was…………….
    The solution was David-esque.
Solution took me longer than usual………..
