  1. Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…
    🎶 IT’S ONLY WORDS…AND WORDS ARE ALL WE HAVE🎶

🎶 Start SPREADING the news, I’m leavin’ today…I want to be a part of it New York, New York…🎶 “New York, New York” – Mr Frank Sinatra 1979 https://tinyurl.com/59u7kxcr

🔠 The quarantine forced us indoors, a time we can’t forget,
And I, like many others, felt the need for an OUTLET…
I always loved my Scrabble, but it wasn’t so UNIQUE,
Yet all that free time in NY? The playing I did seek…
The cold nights we’d get CUDDLY, and snack on SALMON cakes,
Along with WARMTH from a good wine…it proved a welcome break…
And thankfully the “Other” in my life’s a real sweet man,
He could have gotten GRUMPY…with no leg on which to stand
He took his losses gracefully, thought it no way absurd…
That I just kept on winning…as I played SPREADING THE WORD! 🔠

Scrabble. While some may consider it a BORED game…there are those of us who have quite the…what’s the WORD I’m looking for? ..Quite the voracious appetite for it…And I fall under that umbrella…

O-K…Our WORDS…Nothing new, and repeat anagrams in TUTELO and MTRWHA. And it was only SALMON that caused an Early Bird or two to BLANK, I mean blink…Nothing fishy, just a little SPELLING pause…But it didn’t take long unTILE they completely recovered…

So…From our dialogue and question, it looks like we’re back in the ‘50s, when Scrabble first became a board game to be played at home. https://tinyurl.com/54rwtc8t And we see a Scrabble board SPREAD out ACROSS a table. Two of our two characters are speaking, and singing its praises. The third character? Speechless…I think he may be in shock!…’Cause If he plays his cards right, he’s looking at a bonanza with those tiles he’s holding! ULMJEBS? Are you kidding me? Bottom of the board, one line up? He can SPELL out JUMBLES going across, using the E that’s showing…and get to save his own E to boot! Talk about a gift! I live to save my E’s…I’d be chomping at the bit! And as far as our solve goes? An easy, breezy one..I’ll SPELL it out for you…Our guy’s SPREADING THE WORD at work, while his wife is thrilled with the 78 points she’s about to RACK up by SPREADING the WORD “Quarter” down the board…linked to the word PARK that was obviously PLAYED by her husband. And she hasn’t placed her R yet, which is visible in her hand. But since the game just started, where’s her 7th tile? My WORD! Something may be amiss!.. Regardless, Jeff has SPELT it all out for us, right there in great detail… including the remaining tiles to be PLAYed set off to the side…He’s got it DOWN to a “T”!

So, There you have it Folks, Done…Have a good one. Be well, stay safe…and I’ll leave you with what I said to my nieces the other night when they were fooling aROUND and tossing tiles at one another…”Sure, it’s all fun and GAMEs now…unTILE someone loses an “I”…🔠🙋🏻‍♀️

** I’ve used it a few times before, but I think it still deserves an Honorable Mention! 😉 https://tinyurl.com/562tmmhy “Words” – The Bee Gees 1968

    • You would think that UNIQUE would have been used more frequently maybe whenever the Q was needed. The year 2005 goes back quite a few…anyhow, regards from South Georgia where we are starting a beautiful autumn day!!

      • Alan…You know we don’t make the news here, we just report it! 🤷🏻‍♀️ And we’re blessed with a beautiful crisp autumn morning here too…Enjoy, Alan…🔠🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🙇🏻‍♂️ Always known to use gossip as an OUTLET for SPREADING THE WORD in his own UNIQUE way, their GRUMPY old neighbor, always dressed in that ugly SALMON vest, was far from a CUDDLY sort who exuded any WARMTH…🙇🏻‍♂️

🧥 She loved to shop the OUTLET, for CUDDLY clothes to wear,
And in the winter WARMTH was key…so def you’d find her there…
They had such UNIQUE fashions, she bought a woolen dress,
The SALMON color caught her eye…and she thought…”Must possess”..
The only drawback with the place…the GRUMPY guy on 3rd…
She told her friends “Avoid that floor…trust…I’m SPREADING THE WORD”! 🧥

  3. It’s late but tomorrow’s Sunday! Go Browns ! We need this one in Cleveland ! I got all the words pretty easy and i found Word right away, had to write the rest of the letters down and Spreading came out and THE was left , so it was good ! We went to a concert tonight to hear a tribute band doing all The Bee Gees songs , couldn’t come up with one for the jumble, even though I thought it was a good OUTLET, great concert! Very UNIQUE, nobody was in a GRUMPY mood, even though the weather is starting to drop , it got down to 48 tonight ! CUDDLY helped get the WARMTH . The band had an organ, I think a Hammond , but no SALMON! Ok goodnight and Browns are gonna do it ! So 🎶 start SPREADING THE WORD 🎶 have a great Sunday !

  4. It’s using a high value letter
That’s the way to get better and better
Go for the Z and the Q
(For which you’ll also need U)
If you want to be a Scrabble go-getter!

This really needs a second and subsequent verses but no time this morning!

    • 🔠 The double and triple squares key,
      For accruing most points…you’ll agree…
Look to play at the edge,
And all bets you can hedge…
And for sure you’ll attain victory! 🔠

  5. Good morning. A week to remember. Another quick work of today’s words and then having a blind solve on the cartoon answer to boot. My third thought proved correct when I checked with the letters. Enjoyed your song 🎵 choice Angela. This week at bocce an obvious Italian younger man (40s-50s) with a tank top tanned skin and carrying a huge modern day version of the old boom box with a girlfriend that had hair down to her buttocks blasted nothing but Frank Sinatra songs and singing to his every words. We all enjoyed it as well as his voice. Somebody in our group said he sings in one of the church choirs. We surely were entertained. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • It SOUNDS like you had a great day, Paul! 😉…Glad you enjoyed both the puzzle and my song choice…Have a good one, Paul. Stay well and safe…🔠🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Solution took some time but overall this was a fun one. I used to play a lot of scrabble….

    • Very easy for a Sunday, Betty…David’s given us all some extra time to rest a SPELL! …Wishing you a good one too, Betty! Enjoy! 🔠🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. Salmon gave me reason to pause, but after getting the anagrams, having all the letters, and even the last 2 words, spreading stumped me!At least it is a beautiful sunny Sunday morning.

    • You’re right, Professor…Beautiful weather can make up for a lot of things! Have a good one! 🔠🙋🏻‍♀️
